Chapter Text
London, 1995
The afternoon got darker. gloomy street lights were lit giving the fog an eerie glow. People walked quietly along the damp street hurrying along from one building to another to do their afternoon chores. Rain started to drip on the cold stone ground. People scattered in every direction, scrambling to get out of the wet and back to their families. One by one the lights from houses started to go out. The street was empty now. Frogs could be herd chirping as they leaped from leaf to leaf. if you listen closely, just beyond the rain, you can hear the faint sound of footsteps splashing in the puddles…
This is the story of Annie Pearce…
Heart pounding and feet aching she ran. Pain echoed from the purple-blue patches all over her face and arms, but she kept running. She had to get away. She made it out of the city. Her bare feet were scratched and bruised from the cold unmerciful ground. Tears slowly made there way down her face, only to splash in the puddles like the rain that soaked poor Annie’s clothes. Her legs carried her all this way only to be betrayed by a piece of uneven ground. Annie came crashing down onto her knees, ground ripping the flesh off of her. Pain tore through the cold night air as she screeched in pure agony. Annie collapsed, her beautiful strawberry blond hair turning brown from the many puddles of mud and grime eddying around her. The light slowly faded out of her eyes until only darkness remained. She felt a sense of peace for the very first time before everything faded away.
Annie’s dreams bring back the events of that morning. The screaming. The blood. The torment went on until she became numb to it. How is she still here
