Work Text:

The sea was unusually calm as the Thousand Sunny and the Polar Tang moved in unison, cutting through the azure waves like twin sharks on the hunt. Their alliance had brought them together for many battles. They were both on high alert, as the New World was unpredictable and full of dangers.

Luffy was lying on the Sunny's figurehead, grinning at the open sea, his straw hat flapping in the wind. In the crow's nest, Zoro was sharpening his swords, while Sanji prepared a feast in the kitchen. Nami was at the helm, keeping a watchful eye on the horizon, and the rest of the crew were scattered around the ship, busy with their own tasks.

On the Polar Tang, Law stood on the deck, his ever-present stoic expression fixed in place. His crew moved efficiently around him, maintaining the submarine and preparing for whatever lay ahead. Bepo, the giant polar bear mink, was chatting with Shachi and Penguin, their banter light-hearted despite the tension in the air.

"We're getting close to that island," Bepo said, pointing to a distant landmass that was slowly coming into view.

As the two ships approached the island, Nami suddenly tensed, her eyes widening. "Luffy-kun! There's a huge pirate crew ahead!"

Luffy's grin only widened. "Awesome! Let's go check them out!"

Law, however, was not as enthusiastic. He frowned, sensing something off about the situation. "Straw hat-ya, wait. We don't know who they are or what they want."

But Luffy was already leaping from the Sunny onto the Polar Tang, landing beside Law with his usual reckless abandon. "Come on, Torao! It'll be fun!"

Before Law could argue, a massive ship appeared from the mist, a dark silhouette against the bright sky. The ship was enormous, dwarfing even the Thousand Sunny, and its flag bore the mark of a skull and crossbones with strange swirling patterns.. The crew aboard the ship was vast, their numbers easily in the hundreds, and they were watching the two allied ships with predatory eyes.

"Who are they?" Shachi asked, his voice tense.

Law didn't answer. His eyes were locked on the captain of the enemy ship. The man was massive, towering over his crew with a presence that was almost palpable. But it wasn't his size that made Law's blood run cold. It was the aura of power that radiated from him, an invisible force that seemed to press down on everyone in the vicinity.

The man stepped forward, his gaze fixed on the Polar Tang. "You there! Are you the ones who have been causing trouble in my territory?"

Law's grip tightened on his nodachi, Kikoku. "We haven't done anything to you. We're just passing through."

The man sneered, his eyes narrowing. "Lies. I don't take kindly to intruders."

Before anyone could react, the man raised his hand, and a strange, pulsating energy began to emanate from his palm. The air around him seemed to distort, warping like a mirage in the desert. He possessed the Memo Memo no Mi, a devil fruit that can erase others' memories with just a slight wipe.

"Oblivion!" he roared, sending the energy hurtling toward the Polar Tang.

Law barely had time to react. He threw up his hand, creating a room around his crew, but the energy was too fast, too powerful. It broke through his barrier, slamming into him with the force of a tidal wave.

Law’s vision blurred, and the world around him seemed to dissolve into a swirling vortex of colors and sounds. He stumbled back, clutching his head as a searing pain ripped through his skull. The world around him faded into darkness, leaving him alone in a cold, silent void.

The surgeon clutched his head as a searing pain shot through his skull. Flashes of memories flickered through his mind - the Donquixote Family, Corazon's sacrifice, the death of his own beloved family, Vergo’s betrayal. But everything else was a blank.

When Law regained consciousness, he was lying on the deck of the Polar Tang, his own ship. The familiar scent of salt and sea air filled his nostrils, but the world around him felt strange.

“Captain?” Bepo ventured gently, stepping forward. “Can you hear me?”

Law looked up, but there was no recognition in his eyes. “Who are you?” he asked, his voice low and cautious.

The crew flinched, a collective ache of fear and sadness settling in. Finally, Ikkaku spoke up, “It’s us, captain. Your crew.”

“We’re… we’re the Heart Pirates.” Penguin said, attempting to bridge the gap.

“Heart Pirates?” Law echoed, his brow furrowing. “What does that even mean?”

As they tried to explain, Luffy approached. He could see the uncertainty in Law’s eyes, the way he shifted uncomfortably. “Torao, it’s me! Luffy! We’re friends! Do you remember me? We met 2 years ago on Sabaody! Oi, answer me Torao!”

“T-Torao? Why does that name sound… familiar?” Law thought to himself, a flicker of something awakening within him. He studied Luffy’s face, the warmth of that sunny smile tugging at something deep inside. There was something about that straw hat-wearing boy that made his heart race, but he couldn't place it. Fear gripped him, “I don’t remember you.

Chopper rushed to Law's side, his hooves raised in a placating gesture, trying to measure Law’s temperature. "Torao, it's okay. You're safe with us now."

Law recoiled, his eyes wild. "Don't come near me!" He swung his sword, the blade narrowly missing Chopper's head. The reindeer doctor let out a startled yelp and scurried back behind Robin, tears welling in his eyes. "Torao, please! We're here to help you!"

Luffy stepped forward, his brow furrowed with concern. "Torao, I don't know what happened, but we're your allies. You can trust us."

Something about Luffy's earnest expression and soothing tone struck a chord within Law. He froze, his grip on his sword slackening ever so slightly. With each sound that the straw hat boy makes, his heart skipped a beat, like a feeling of safety and warmth that he couldn't quite place. But the fear and confusion quickly overwhelmed him again, and he lashed out, "Stay away from me! I don't know any of you!"

Franky quickly restrained Law, wrapping his massive arms around the thrashing surgeon. "Easy there, big bro. We're not gonna hurt you."

“Let’s give him time,” Robin suggested softly. “Maybe we can help Torao-kun find his way back to us.”

The days that followed were a blur of confusion and despair. Law wandered the Polar Tang, he tried to piece together his shattered memories, but the fragments that flickered through his mind were like shards of broken glass, sharp and painful. He remembered flashes of a childhood filled with pain and loss, a world where he was alone, vulnerable, and had to fight for his survival. He remembered the faces of those he had lost, their smiles, their laughter, their tears, all fading into a hazy, painful memory.

Across the deck, the Heart Pirates and the Straw Hat Pirates were already gathered, their faces a mixture of determination and anxiety. Law’s condition weighed heavily on everyone, and they were all eager to help in whatever way they could.

Chopper was the first to step up. The little reindeer doctor had isolated himself in the infirmary, spending hours poring over his notes, trying to find some way to reverse the effects of the memory loss.

“I’ve been working on this for days, Torao,” Chopper said, holding out the small bottle. “It’s a mix of herbs and medicinal extracts that might help stimulate your brain and bring your memories back. It’s a long shot, but it might work.”

Law eyed the bottle skeptically, then glanced at the eager faces around him. He knew they were all worried, desperate to see him return to his normal self. With a sigh, he took it from Chopper’s hands and downed it in one go.

The reaction was immediate. Law’s face turned an alarming shade of green, and he doubled over, clutching his stomach. The room erupted into chaos as Chopper frantically tried to help, while the others hovered anxiously, unsure of what to do.

“Chopper!” Nami cried, “What did you put in that?!”

“It was supposed to be a gentle stimulant!” Chopper squeaked, his hooves shaking as he tried to steady Law. “I didn’t expect this reaction!”

“I’m fine,” Law growled, cutting off Chopper’s frantic explanation as he slowly straightened up. His face was still pale, but the color was starting to return. He glared at the little doctor, his tone sharper than intended. “Don’t… don’t try that again.”

Franky, with a little bit help from Usopp, had even set up a makeshift lab, tinkering with various machines and devices in an effort to create something that could jog Law’s memories.

One afternoon, the shipwright burst into the infirmary, holding up a strange-looking helmet with wires and blinking lights attached to it. “Yo, Torao-bro! I’ve got just the thing to get those memories back! This baby here is gonna stimulate your brainwaves and bring those memories rushing back in no time! It’s SUPERR!”

Law frowned at the contraption in Franky’s hands, his skepticism evident. “You really think that’ll work?” he asked, his tone flat.

Franky’s grin widened, undeterred by Law’s lack of enthusiasm. “Of course! Just trust me, buddy! I’ve put everything I’ve got into this!”

Law bit back a retort, reminding himself that Franky was only trying to help. “Fine. Let’s get this over with.”

Franky placed the helmet on Law’s head, the wires dangling awkwardly around his face. He flipped a switch, and the helmet began to whir and buzz, the lights flashing in a dizzying pattern.

For a moment, Law felt a strange tingling sensation in his head, as if something was trying to break through the fog of his lost memories. But just as quickly as it began, the sensation faded, leaving him with nothing but a dull headache.

Franky’s grin faltered as he saw the lack of response. “Nothing?”

Law shook his head, frustration gnawing at the edges of his patience. “Nothing.”

Robin, who had been watching from the doorway, sighed and closed the book she had been reading. “It seems that the Devil Fruit’s effects are more complex than we anticipated. There’s no simple cure for this.”

Usopp, meanwhile, had decided to take a different approach. He pulled Law aside one evening and began regaling him with tales of his supposed exploits, determined to make Law remember.

“You see, my guy,” Usopp started, puffing out his chest, “I’m known as the great Captain Usopp, with 8,000 men under my command! We’ve fought countless battles together, and you were always by my side, amazed at my bravery and skill!”

Law listened, his expression unreadable as Usopp continued to embellish his stories with increasingly absurd details. Jean Bart and Ikkaku joined in, adding their own stories to the mix. Jean Bart recounted the time Law had to save him from a particularly aggressive seagull, while Ikkaku reminded everyone of the time Law had fallen asleep standing up after a three-day surgery marathon.

The room was filled with laughter, the crew’s spirits lifting as they shared these memories. But Law’s reaction was far from what they had hoped. He sat stiffly, his arms crossed and his expression darkening with every story.

It was getting late, everyone was already fast asleep. Except for Law, he had been lying in his bed for hours, staring at the ceiling, the weight of his lost memories pressing down on him like a heavy blanket. Sleep was elusive, his thoughts a tangled mess of frustration and confusion. Finally giving in to the restlessness gnawing at him, Law slipped out and made his way up to the deck. The cool night air was a welcome relief, and he took a deep breath, hoping it would clear his mind, even if only for a moment.

As he walked across the deck, his eyes were drawn to the figurehead of the Sunny—the proud lion that seemed to smile even in the darkest of times. And there, lying on top of it with his arms behind his head and a carefree grin on his face, was Luffy.

Law paused, his heart skipping a beat. He had seen Luffy countless times since the incident that robbed him of his memories, but this time felt different. There was something about the way the moonlight played across Luffy’s features, the way his eyes sparkled with that unshakeable, sunny optimism, that made something twist deep inside Law. It wasn’t a memory, but a feeling—one he couldn’t quite place.

Before he could stop himself, Law walked over to where Luffy was lounging. The closer he got, the more intensely the strange sensation grew in his chest—like a swarm of butterflies had taken flight, their wings brushing against his heart.

Luffy noticed him approaching and turned his head, flashing that familiar, warm smile. “Yo, Torao! Can’t sleep either?”

Law hesitated, then nodded. “Yeah… something like that.”

Luffy patted the spot beside him on the figurehead. “Come sit with me! The air’s nice tonight.”

Law didn’t respond immediately. Instead, he found himself studying Luffy’s face—those wide, honest eyes, that infectious grin. He couldn’t remember why, but the sight of Luffy made his heart pound in a way that both unnerved and intrigued him.

He finally climbed up onto the figurehead, settling down beside Luffy with a sigh. For a few moments, they sat in comfortable silence, the only sound the gentle lapping of the waves against the Sunny’s hull.

Luffy turned his head slightly, looking at Law with a curious expression. “So you remember anything yet?”

Law’s breath caught in his throat. He opened his mouth to answer, but the words wouldn’t come. His usual calm and composed demeanor deserted him, leaving him feeling exposed and vulnerable. His face grew hot, and he could feel the blush creeping up his neck.

When he finally managed to speak, his voice was uncharacteristically shaky. “I don’t know why, but… every time I’m around you… I feel… strange.” He frowned, frustrated with himself for not being able to articulate what he was feeling. “My chest tightens, and I feel… nervous. It’s  like there’s something I’m supposed to remember, but I can’t… and it’s driving me crazy.”

Luffy tilted his head, his expression thoughtful. “Hmm… strange, huh?” He paused for a moment, then his face lit up with a grin. “Isn’t it because you love me?”

Law’s eyes widened, his heart skipping a beat as Luffy’s words sank in. “W-What?” he stammered, his blush deepening to a bright, furious red. He could feel his pulse racing, his thoughts spinning out of control. “What are you talking about?”

Luffy laughed, as if Law’s panic was the most natural thing in the world. “Yeah! You know, love! It makes your heart beat fast, makes you feel all funny inside. That’s what you’re feeling, right?”

Law was at a complete loss for words. He opened his mouth to protest, but the words died in his throat. What could he even say? The sensation in his chest—the butterflies, the pounding heart—it was exactly as Luffy described. But love? That couldn’t be right… could it?

After what felt like an eternity, Law finally found his voice, though it wavered with uncertainty. “Straw hat-ya… ” He turned to look at Luffy, his eyes searching the younger boy’s face for answers. “How do you know that I… love you?”

Luffy didn’t respond right away. Instead, he sat up from his relaxed position on the figurehead and turned to face Law, his dark eyes glinting with that familiar, unshakeable confidence. A grin spread across his face, wide and genuine.

“What do you mean?” Luffy began, his tone light and teasing, “Isn’t it obvious?!”

Law blinked, taken aback by the simple, straightforward answer. “Obvious?” he echoed, his confusion deepening.

Luffy chuckled, the sound light and carefree, a stark contrast to the turmoil inside Law. “You’ve always acted differently around me. You get all serious and grumpy, but also… kinda soft.” He tapped his chin thoughtfully, as if trying to find the right words. “Like, when we were in Dressrosa, you kept doing things to protect me—even when you didn’t have to. And not just in battle, but, like, all the time.”

Law’s breath caught as he listened, the memories just beyond his reach. What Luffy was saying felt… right, but the specifics were still lost in the fog of his mind. He frowned, trying to grasp onto the threads of those lost moments.

Luffy continued, oblivious to Law’s inner struggle. “And then there’s the way you look at me sometimes—like you care a lot more than you let on.”

Law’s eyes widened slightly, his face flushing as Luffy’s words hit home. He could feel his pulse quicken, his heart pounding in his chest. He had always prided himself on being composed, on keeping his emotions in check. But it seemed that when it came to Luffy, he wasn’t nearly as good at hiding his feelings as he thought.

The surgeon felt his face heat up even more, the blush spreading across his cheeks. He wanted to say something, to defend himself, but the words wouldn’t come. Instead, he found himself staring at Luffy, his mind racing to make sense of everything.

Luffy’s grin widened, and he let out another laugh. “Maybe it’s not that obvious to everyone else, but I noticed. I’ve always noticed.”

The sincerity in Luffy’s voice took Law by surprise. It wasn’t just the words—it was the way Luffy said them, with complete and utter certainty, as if there was no question in his mind about how he felt or how Law felt.

Luffy shrugged, as if the answer was the simplest thing in the world. “You’re my friend, Torao, a special one. And I pay attention to you.”

“You pay attention?” Law repeated, almost in disbelief. Luffy was many things—strong, determined, and fiercely loyal—but “observant” wasn’t exactly the first word that came to mind when describing the Straw Hat captain.

“Of course!” Luffy said, his tone bright and earnest. “I know you’re always looking out for me, even when you pretend not to care. Like that time you almost got yourself killed just to keep me safe from Doflamingo, or when you stayed up all night fixing me after I got hurt, even though you were exhausted.”

Law’s heart skipped a beat. The memories were still hazy, but he remembered the feelings—the fear of losing Luffy, the desperation to protect him at all costs. It was as if Luffy’s words were slowly pulling those emotions back to the surface, even if the details remained out of reach.

“And then there’s the way you always come up with plans to keep me out of trouble,” Luffy continued, his voice softening slightly. “Even if I don’t always listen.” He chuckled, scratching the back of his head sheepishly. “But I know you’re doing it because you care. Because you love me.”

Law’s breath hitched at the word, his chest tightening with a mix of emotions he could barely process. How could Luffy say something so profound, so life-changing, with such ease? And how had Luffy seen through him so clearly, when he himself had been so blind?

“I don’t understand why you’re so okay with this,” Law finally admitted, his voice soft. “How you can just… accept it so easily.”

Luffy’s grin softened into a tender smile, and he reached out, placing a hand on Law’s shoulder. “Because it’s you, Torao. And I trust you. I know you’ll figure this out, and when you do, I’ll be here. Just like I’ve always been.”

As Luffy continued to talk, Law began to feel a strange pull towards the straw hat guy, an attraction that he couldn't explain, a feeling that he had never experienced before. He found himself wanting to be closer to Luffy, to feel his warmth, to hear his laughter, to share his dreams.

And then, in a moment of impulsive abandon, Law leaned forward and kissed the straw hat captain.

It was a kiss that was both unexpected and unforgettable. It was a kiss that was filled with a raw, primal passion, a deep, unspoken longing, a yearning for something more.

Luffy, surprised but not unwilling, responded with equal fervor. The kiss deepened, their bodies pressed together, their breaths mingling in the cool night air. They were lost in the moment, their world reduced to the touch of their lips, the heat of their bodies, the intoxicating rush of their emotions.

The kiss ended too soon, leaving both of them breathless and wanting more. Law, his heart pounding in his chest, looked into Luffy's eyes, his own filled with a mixture of confusion and desire.

“Straw hat-ya…” Law whispered, his voice trembling with the weight of everything he wanted to say but couldn’t find the words for.

One hand reaching up to cup Law’s cheek, Luffy smiled. “It’s okay, Torao. You don’t have to say anything.”

But Law did want to say something—wanted to tell Luffy how much this meant to him, how much he had come to care for him. And as he looked into Luffy’s eyes, he realized that Luffy already knew. Luffy had always known.

Without another word, Law took Luffy’s hand and led him back inside the ship, their footsteps echoing softly in the quiet corridors of the Sunny. They made their way to Law’s room, the door closing behind them with a soft click.

Inside, the room was dimly lit, the faint glow of moonlight filtering through the small window. The air was thick with anticipation, with the unspoken understanding of what was to come. But there was no awkwardness, no hesitation—only the gentle pull of something that had been building between them for a long time.

Law turned to face Luffy, his heart in his throat. There was so much he wanted to say, so much he wanted to express, but he found himself at a loss for words. Instead, he let his actions speak for him, closing the distance between them once more and capturing Luffy’s lips in another kiss.

This kiss was different—hungrier, more desperate, as if they were both afraid that the moment might slip away if they didn’t hold onto it tightly enough. Their hands roamed over each other’s bodies, exploring, discovering, as the intensity of their connection grew.

Clothes were discarded in the dim light, forgotten as the heat between them built. And when they finally came together, it was with a sense of rightness that took Law’s breath away. Every touch, every movement, was charged with the emotions they had both been holding back for so long.

The night was a blur of sensation, of whispered names and soft gasps, of bodies moving together in a rhythm that felt both new and familiar. Law felt like he was drowning in Luffy—in the warmth of his skin, the softness of his touch, the way he seemed to know exactly what Law needed, even before Law himself did.

And as they finally reached the peak together, Law felt something break open inside him—something he had been holding onto for far too long. It was as if all the pain, all the fear, all the uncertainty that had been weighing him down was washed away in that moment, leaving only the pure, unfiltered connection between them.

Afterward, they lay entwined in the soft sheets, their breathing slowly returning to normal. The room was quiet, the only sound was the gentle hum of the ship and the distant call of the ocean outside. Law’s head was resting on Luffy’s chest, the steady beat of Luffy’s heart a comforting rhythm in his ear.

As they drifted off to sleep, wrapped in each other’s arms, Law felt a sense of peace settle over him. His memories were still lost, his future uncertain, but for the first time in a long time, he felt like he was exactly where he was meant to be.

The first rays of dawn filtered through the small window of Law’s room, casting a soft, golden light over the two figures tangled together in the sheets. Trafalgar Law stirred, blinking groggily as he slowly woke from a deep, dreamless sleep. His mind was hazy at first, the warmth of Luffy’s body pressed against his own providing a comforting, familiar sensation.

But as he started to fully wake up, memories began to flood back into Law’s mind—memories that had been locked away since the incident that had caused his amnesia. They came rushing back all at once, a torrent of images and emotions that made Law’s heart race and his breath catch in his throat.

He remembered everything. The long, arduous journey to Dressrosa, the battles they had fought side by side, the sacrifices he had made to protect Luffy, and the feelings that had slowly, insidiously grown in his heart until he could no longer ignore them.

And he remembered last night. The conversation on the deck, the kiss that had ignited something powerful between them, and the way they had come together in a moment of pure, unfiltered emotion.

As the full weight of his memories settled in, Law’s face flushed a deep shade of red. He was suddenly acutely aware of Luffy’s arm draped over his chest, the steady rise and fall of Luffy’s breath against his skin. The realization that he had not only confessed his feelings but had also acted on them made Law’s heart pound with a mixture of embarrassment, flustered confusion, and—if he was being honest with himself—a hint of anger.

Luffy, of course, chose that moment to wake up. He yawned lazily, stretching his arms out before his eyes blinked open, immediately catching sight of Law’s wide-eyed, blushing face. A slow, sleepy grin spread across his lips, his eyes sparkling with the same carefree warmth that had drawn Law to him in the first place.

“Morning, Torao,” Luffy said, his voice still thick with sleep. He didn’t seem the least bit surprised or concerned by their current situation. In fact, he looked positively delighted.

Law, on the other hand, was struggling to process the whirlwind of emotions that had taken hold of him. He scrambled to sit up, pulling the sheets around himself as if they could shield him from the embarrassment flooding his system.

“What the fuck, Straw hat-ya” Law started, his voice coming out more high-pitched than he intended. He cleared his throat, trying to regain some semblance of composure, but the memories of the previous night were making that nearly impossible. “I remember everything now, and—”

Luffy’s grin only widened, completely unfazed by Law’s flustered state. “That’s great, Torao! I knew you’d get your memories back.”

Law’s eyes narrowed, his blush deepening. “That’s not the point! I can’t believe… I can’t believe I…” He trailed off, his face turning an even brighter shade of red. The words wouldn’t come out, but the implication was clear.

Luffy tilted his head, looking at Law with that familiar, innocent curiosity. “What’s wrong, Torao? You’re acting kinda funny.”

Law could hardly believe that Luffy could be so calm and casual about what had happened between them. He wasn’t sure if he was more embarrassed by his own actions or by Luffy’s apparent lack of concern. “What’s wrong?” Law repeated, incredulous. “We… we… last night…”

“Yeah?” Luffy replied, still smiling. “It was fun, right?”

“Fun?” Law sputtered, his tone somewhere between exasperation and disbelief. “Straw hat-ya, do you even understand what we did? What it means?”

Luffy’s smile softened, a hint of something more serious in his eyes. “Yeah, I do, Torao. And I’m glad it happened.” He reached out, his hand gently brushing against Law’s cheek. “You were amazing, by the way.”

Law’s breath hitched, his heart skipping a beat at Luffy’s unexpected compliment. He could feel the heat rising to his face again, his emotions a chaotic mix of embarrassment, anger, and something else he wasn’t quite ready to name.

“I—That’s not—” Law stammered, completely at a loss for how to respond. He had never been this out of sorts before, and it was all because of Luffy, who was looking at him like he was the most interesting thing in the world, who had somehow managed to unravel every defense Law had ever put up.

And then, as if to make things even more frustrating, Luffy let out a soft laugh and said, “You’re really cute when you’re all flustered like this, Torao.”

Law’s eyes widened, and any semblance of composure he had managed to regain completely shattered. “I—What—No, I’m not!” he protested, his voice rising in pitch again. “Stop saying things like that!”

But Luffy just kept smiling, that infuriatingly charming grin that made Law’s heart do strange, unpredictable things. “Why? It’s true. You’re cute.”

Law groaned, burying his face in his hands as he tried to will the blush away. This was not how he had imagined getting his memories back. He had expected relief, maybe some clarity—but instead, he was left feeling like a complete mess, with Luffy somehow managing to make everything both better and worse at the same time.

He stood up, his legs still shaky from the night before. He walked over to the door, his hand on the handle.

"What were you thinking last night when, you know, we did this?" he asked, his voice barely a whisper.

Luffy’s expression softened, and he leaned in, pressing a quick, affectionate kiss to Law’s lips. “I was thinking about how I love you, Torao. And I want us to be together, that’s what lovers do, right? They put their coc-”

“N-No no I get it, yes,” Law interrupted, hí hand reach to Lufy’s mouth to stop him from saying the whole sentence, his heart finally calming as he looked into Luffy’s eyes. “Me too, Straw hat-ya. Me too.”

The sun was now fully risen, casting a warm, golden light over the Thousand Sunny as the crew stirred awake. Law had spent the last few minutes mentally preparing himself for what was about to happen. He knew he had to tell everyone that his memories had returned, but the thought of facing both crews after everything that had happened the night before made his heart race. Especially with Luffy—who had a tendency to be far too open about things Law would rather keep private.

As they walked to the dining hall together, Law kept shooting nervous glances at Luffy, who was strolling beside him with his usual carefree grin. Law’s mind was a mess of conflicting emotions—relief at having his memories back, embarrassment over last night, and a growing anxiety about what Luffy might say.

Bepo, who had been sitting across from Chopper, realized something í different with hí captain immediately, his ears twitching in anticipation. “Captain! Is everything okay?”

Law nodded, trying to keep his voice steady. “Actually, yes, I remember everything now. My memories, they’ve all come back.”

“Oh, and guess what?” Luffy began, his voice loud and cheerful. “Last night, Torao and I—”

Law’s eyes widened in panic, and before Luffy could finish his sentence, he lunged forward, clapping a hand over Luffy’s mouth. “Luffy!” he hissed, his face flushing bright red. “Don’t. Say. Another. Word.”

Everyone fell silent, their attention now fully focused on the interaction between Law and Luffy. The Straw Hats exchanged curious glances, while the Heart Pirates looked on in confusion.

Luffy’s eyes widened in surprise, but he didn’t resist. Instead, he just looked at Law with a slightly confused expression, as if he didn’t understand what the big deal was.

“Er, sorry,” Law quickly said, trying to keep his voice calm as he removed his hand from Luffy’s mouth. “Luffy was just, uh… excited. About my memories coming back. Nothing more.”

The room fell silent again, but this time it was filled with a different kind of tension. The Straw Hats exchanged curious glances, clearly sensing that there was more to the story. The Heart Pirates, used to their captain’s more stoic demeanor, were equally puzzled by his sudden outburst.

Sanji raised an eyebrow, a knowing smirk playing on his lips. “Oh? Is that all?”

Ever the keen observer, Robin chuckled softly. “It seems there’s more to this story than we’re being told.”

Nami is leaning forward with interest. “Come on, Law, you can’t just leave us hanging like that.”

Even Zoro, who usually didn’t bother with others’ personal affairs, was watching with a raised eyebrow, clearly intrigued by Law’s uncharacteristic behavior.

Law felt his face growing hotter by the second, the attention from both crews making him feel more flustered than he had in a long time. He shot a glare at Luffy, who was still smiling at him with that innocent, clueless expression that made Law want to both scream and laugh at the same time.

Seeing no other way out, Law quickly cleared his throat and forced a smile. “There’s nothing else to tell. I just… got my memories back, and I’m glad to be back to normal. That’s all.”

Luffy, completely oblivious to the tension in the room, nodded enthusiastically. “Yeah, it’s great that Torao remembers everything now! And last night was—”

Law’s eyes widened in horror, and before Luffy could finish, he grabbed Luffy by the shoulders, practically shaking him. He growled in a low, warning tone. “Don’t.”

Luffy blinked, tilting his head in confusion. “What? I was just going to say it was a good talk—”

“Exactly!” Law interjected quickly, letting out a breath he didn’t realize he was holding. “It was… a good talk. That’s all.”

The rest of the crew watched this exchange with varying degrees of amusement and curiosity. Nami and Robin exchanged knowing looks, while Sanji lit a cigarette, clearly enjoying the show. Usopp and Chopper were less certain of what was going on, but they were clearly intrigued.

“Oh and I guess the 'good talk’ must’ve had something to do with the things on your neck!” Brook said, pointing directly at the hickey marks that Luffy left the night before.

“Now that I’ve noticed, what are those?” Usopp, and Chopper raised their voices

The surgeon’s face turned bright crimson, how could he forget about those marks!

Luffy, being Luffy, wasn’t about to let it go that easily. He pulled Law’s hand away from his mouth and grinned widely at the group. “Oh I’m the one who-”

Law nearly shouted, cutting him off again as he tried to smother the Straw Hat captain with his hand. “Not another word!”

“I could tell what happened last night! Ow!” Franky chimed in “But whatever that is, I’m glad that my Torao-bro has remembered everything now! Makes me feel SUPER”

As the crews went back to their breakfast, the conversation turning to lighter topics, Law finally allowed himself to relax. His memories were back, his crew was safe, and despite Luffy’s teasing, he knew that whatever came next, they would face it together.

And even if Luffy’s antics drove him crazy, Law couldn’t help but feel a warmth in his chest—a warmth that told him that maybe, just maybe, everything was exactly as it should be.
