"Let's go to a movie," Stiles suggested, sprawled inelegantly over a squishy chair that was directly in the path of the hard-working fan. "It's got to be cooler than this."
"Stiles. We're waiting for the repair man," Derek said patiently. "Someone is supposed to be here to fix the air conditioning some time this afternoon."
Stiles huffed. "But... I'm hot!"
"Go take a cold shower," Derek replied evenly.
"That's no fun," Stiles pouted. Then he looked sly. "We could take one together?"
"By yourself is as much fun as there's going to be for a while," Derek gave a small grin.
Stiles sighed. Then perked up at the knock at the front door. He fell off the chair and landed on the floor, scrambling to stand up.
Stiles opened the door. "Welc--" He stuttered. "Dad! What are you doing here?"
"What? I can't visit my kid?" John laughed.
"Our air conditioning is broken, too," Derek called.
"Oh," John sighed, obviously disappointed.
"Stiles, take your dad and go to the movies," Derek said. "I'll wait here."
Stiles went over and gave Derek a quick kiss. "You're the best!"
