Chapter Text
A month had passed since the events of Weirdmageddon, and a month had gone by since Stanley Pines lost his memory. The summer had ended, and September was almost over, but the routine that had happened every morning in the mystery shack had been finally paying off. In the morning, the family would rouse Stanley from his slumber and make him breakfast. It was different everyday, but they talked him over the basics then. “ Your name is Stanley Pines. You are living in Gravity Falls, Oregon. You run a tourist trap named the Mystery Shack. We are your family, Dipper, Mabel, and Stanford Pines. ” After a while he could recite it himself, and they would move on to touring the scrapbook over and over again. To listening to family and countless friends talk all about everything he’d done for everyone, good and bad.
And now, September 30th, 2012, he had a major semblance of who he was. There were some things he’d slip up on every now and again, but it would be okay in the end. His recovery was well thought out between all three of his family in the house. Dipper and Mabel had to stay after he saved everyone, to the dismay of their parents. They’d visited briefly after getting a phone call from Stanford, but eventually agreed to let them stay till the end of fall in order to help Stanley out of his “sudden amnesia.”
The entire town of Gravity Falls seemed to be healing and moving on, because no one really talked about the events that happened, just like they’d promised. Anyone sticking their nose around in the wrong place would either hear too many “never mind all that’s” or be zapped by the officers who were still going strong together. Of course, the family would recount every horrible detail, but with relief. They were finally free of the shackles that bound them to that town.
It was a happy moment of peace between the Pines, the town, and the world. They’d been successful in completing their mission to take down Bill Cipher, and they got to stay close to their dear friends and family. In fact, upon the agreement that Dipper and Mabel’s parents made with Ford, they had started attending the local highschool. It was nice there, and the anxiety that Mabel originally had melted away upon going there. Her friends were there, and she most definitely would not get mistreated after becoming such a local celebrity.
It was all good and well for the town of Gravity Falls. For now.
