Work Text:

"I didn't know it was possible to have too many cupcakes, outside of a bakery," Peter said in awe as he looked around the kitchen.

There were cupcakes on every flat surface and a few batches were hanging precariously from the tops of cupboards and the refrigerator, likely supported by magic.

"I... umm... sometimes I stress bake?" Harry admitted sheepishly.

"Did you actually make these or did you magic them up?" Peter asked.

"Oh, no. I really made them!" Harry nodded. "You can't create food. Well, you can transfigure something to look like food but it never is. That is a known thing."

"You've been up too long then," Peter frowned. "How long have you been baking and decorating?"

"Well..." Harry looked shifty for a moment before admitting, "Once the icing is made, then I can use magic to do the decorating. So..."

"And the baking?" Peter persisted.

"I did transfigure the dishwasher into an oven for a while," Harry admitted. "But I've already turned it back!" he hastened to add. "Even the cleaning up can be done with magic, so that's all caught up."

"I know you were planning on bringing dessert to the run, but even 'wolves won't eat this many cupcakes," Peter said. "We have a strong preference for protein when we've been running on the night of the full moon. We'll eat some as a treat, but too much sugar isn't good for anyone and most will avoid it."

"Well, that's where magic is handy," Harry admitted cheerfully. "I can put a stasis charm over any or all of this and it'll be just as fresh even years later."

"Good thing," Peter nodded. "I'll let everyone know, so they don't feel bad about eating them all tonight."

"And I was going to drop some off at the Sheriff's Department," Harry added. "Everyone here has been so helpful, I suspect the deputies would appreciate a treat."

"Don't let Stiles give you grief for doing that," Peter warned.

"Oh, I know all about Stiles and his obsession," Harry laughed. "I have Hermione researching to see if there is a way we can get a Healer to visit, to talk to Stiles and his dad. A neutral third party, so to speak."

"Now that would be useful!" Peter nodded. He took a cupcake from the table and bit into it. "Although this is good!"

Harry yawned.

"And you! Get a nap before tonight, otherwise I'll set John on you," Peter threatened.

Harry raised his hands in surrender. "Promise!"
