   Summary

   Static. That’s all I could hear. Layers of nothingness folded over me, creating a strange in-between that was completely silent yet so very loud. I was surrounded by darkness that felt brighter than lines of street lights and neon signs. The static filling my ears would melt into soft buzzing before blooming into waves of white noise once again. I was nothing, yet everything simultaneously. Part of the never-ending darkness, but still entirely separate from it.
