Summary
Father is painfully aware the way Lyney had lost his head, had stormed headfirst into Wriothesley’s trap without a second thought. She knows that he had lost his temper, had dropped his flawless act. She knows that he’d been given a choice, and that he had hesitated, had chosen to protect her rather than his siblings.
She hasn’t mentioned it, yet.
It only contributes to Lyney’s slowly mounting anxiety. She’s disappointed in him, he knows. She knows he knows. And yet, she continues to let him stew.
But a mission is different. A mission is easy when Wriothesley’s not involved.
