"I never realized what children we were," Hermione admitted as she and Bobby watched the Lacrosse team jog around the track. Practice was over and the jogging was exercise and cool-down.
Bobby knew he didn't have the entire story but he was pleased that Hermione would trust him enough to open up to him about her time growing up in England.
"We've had the same," Bobby admitted. "Stiles and Scott... maybe they were a few years older than you were but, well, like them, you were kids who should have had adults you could trust."
Hermione nodded. "I did get lucky, that most of the dreams I had about learning magic did come true. But it should have been so different."
"On the other hand, you've survived the horrors thrown at you, you're healthy, you're in a good place, and you're doing good work," Bobby replied cheerfully. "For a lot of people, that is the dream!"
