Summary
When Rey realizes she is pregnant quite quickly after taking Ben's hand, she worries what he will say. AKA: The two idiots have been fucking too much to have considered protection/consequences.
"Removing the mask from his face, Kylo Ren tossed it onto the conference table without ceremony as he closed the distance between them. Cupping her face in his gloved hands, he peered down into her green eyes. She wasn't letting him in her mind, something was wrong. Had one of the enlisted insulted her, perhaps she was being disobeyed? Had she tried to contact Mother, only to be rebuffed? He'd warned her, he'd tried to protect her! What if it was so painful that she would not stay… With a soft, coaxing plea, he finally spoke, "Tell me who hurt you."
"No one, Ben, I'm fine." He loved her. She could feel it, the emotion that surrounded her like his cloak. Rey did not know how to make this work, or what sort of future they would create for their children, but if nothing else, she knew that Ben Solo loved her. Closing her eyes, Rey actually felt moisture build because everything was so much easier when she could feel that swell of protective emotion wrapping around her."
