Marcus sighs, “I am sorry. I just don’t think we can fit date night in next week, with all the travelling”. Colton leans a little more into his side, “that’s okay”. Kyle gets up from the opposite end of the table and sits in Colton’s lap leaning back so he can look at Marcus, “yeah, we just do two date nights the week after”. Marcus laughs at that and gives them both a kiss.
“we have to plan something”, Kyle whispers to Colton in the bathroom while Marcus is in the bedroom. Colton nods, “yeah, I don’t like to see him pouty”. Kyle shakes his head, “we’re gonna make him smile”.
Marcus walks in with a smirk, “what are you two whispering about?”. Kyle grins at him, “just how much we love you”. Marcus laughs and wraps his arms around Kyle from behind, “well, I love you and you too”. Colton rolls his eyes, “but you’re only hugging him”. Marcus laughs as Kyle pulls on Colton’s arm. Colton laughs too, “I am guessing you’re going to ask if you can sleep in the middle?”. Kyle blushes, “please?”. Colton grins and leans over pecking Marcus’s lips, “what do you think? Can he be in the middle?”. Marcus smiles and gently pats Kyle’s stomach, “yeah I think he can”.
It feels a little weird to Kyle and Colton to be hiding something from Marcus, but the surprise is worth it. Kyle is putting the finishing touches on the decorations in their motorhome, while Colton distracts him outside. They have flower petals, fairy lights, lots of pillows and blankets and even some cheat food. They’ll just have to hit the gym a little harder in the coming week.
Kyle grins as he sets the cards, he and Colton made for Marcus, on the table. They are basically A4 papers folded, but Kyle and Colton had drawn on them with markers they borrowed of the media team and written heartfelt messages inside.
Colton knocks on the door of the motorhome. Marcus frowns, “what are you knocking for? We own it?”. Kyle opens the door, “because he wanted to make sure I was ready and I am. Happy date night Marcus”. Marcus looks between them, “really?”. Colton grins, “we have not missed a date night ever and you got so pouty about it, we had to do something”. Colton gently pushes Marcus inside.
Marcus smiles brightly, “this looks lovely”. Kyle smiles, “we also each made you a card”. He bites his lip a little nervously. Marcus grins, “made?”. Colton nods, “yeah!”, he points to the cards. Marcus laughs, “oh, I love them!”. Kyle grins, “you sit in the pillow fort. We’ll give them to you”, he gestures to the sofa covered in every single pillow and blanket they own.
Marcus does as he’s told, fondness filling his heart as he looks back at Colton and Kyle, each holding out their cards to him. Marcus takes the cards, studies them and reads them. He tears up a little reading the little declarations of love. Colton and Kyle take that as their cue to snuggle close.
Marcus places the cards aside carefully, “I love you both so much”. Kyle and Colton both kiss his cheek at the same time making him laugh. “you get to pick the movie”, Kyle smiles, picking up the remote. Colton snuggles closer, “and we have snacks!”. Marcus smiles wide, “I am so lucky, getting spoiled so much by you two”.
Colton kisses his cheek, “you always spoil us”. Kyle nods, “we wanted to spoil you and make you smile”. Marcus pulls Colton in for a soft kiss, then Kyle. Colton smirks, “I’ll never get tired of watching you do that”. Kyle leans over Marcus to kiss Colton softly. Marcus watches them with a smirk, “yeah, Colton is right”. Kyle pulls away and rolls his eyes, “weirdos”. Colton shrugs, “Oh, we’ll just kiss each other, then”.
Marcus laughs, “you both get kisses, but I also get to pick a movie now yes?”. Kyle hands him the remote, “you do”. Marcus smirks, “I know what I want to watch”. He switches the input channel of the TV to his DVD player. Colton and Kyle tease him a little about his age sometimes, but it’s all in good fun.
Colton rolls his eyes, “oh what are you about to do?”. Kyle laughs too, “what are we watching?”. Marcus gets up and finds ‘Breakfast Club’ amongst his DVDs. He holds it up proudly. Kyle laughs, “we did say he could pick”. Colton laughs, “it’s his special surprise date night, so I’ll try not to complain”.
Marcus puts the DVD in and then settles back in between his boyfriends, “you’ll love it. I do”. Colton sets the bowl of popcorn in Marcus’s lap. They cuddle close. Marcus grins, excited to watch this movie with them finally. “oh, I love this part”, he says softly and smiles brightly when both his boyfriends perk up a little watching more closely. He feels like the luckiest guy in the world.
The next morning, Kyle wakes up snuggled into Colton’s chest, inside their pillow fort. He looks around and spots Marcus making breakfast in their little kitchen area, “hey morning”. He gets up and wraps his arms around Marcus, “you could have woken us up?”. Marcus kisses his cheek, “you maybe? Colton no way”. Kyle laughs and snuggles close. He laughs more when he sees that Marcus has stuck the cards they gave him to the fridge. “you’re so sweet”.
Marcus smirks, “I know, babe”. Kyle snuggles into Marcus’s back, hugging him close. Colton blinks his eyes open slowly when Marcus pours them three mugs of coffee. “Morning, sleepy”, Kyle grins. Colton stretches, “falling asleep here was not as terrible as I expected it would be”. Marcus smiles, “well that does turn into a bed”, pointing to the sofa. Colton yawns softly.
Kyle picks up two coffee mugs and sits at the table, “He’s so cute in the morning”. Marcus smirks and brings Kyle his plate. Colton smiles watching them both, “I am always cute”. Marcus leans down to peck his lips. “grab your plate and come join us baby”. He grabs his own mug and plate and sits next to Kyle.
Colton yawns again as he walks over to them with his plate. “Adorable”, Kyle laughs softly. Marcus grins as Colton stretches and his shirt moves up a bit exposing some skin, “and hot”. Colton sits down opposite of them and wraps his hands around his coffee mug. He takes a few sips, “thank you”.
Kyle puts his feet on Colton’s lap. Marcus smirks, “you’re welcome baby”. Colton smiles softly, “I am glad we did date night last night”. Kyle nods, “no matter how busy we get. We always make time for it”. Marcus nods, “I, uhm… Well, I started doing them because I just wanted to remind you how much I care and appreciate you both”. Kyle kisses his cheek. Marcus smiles at him, “I just feel so lucky, that I get to be with you both”.
Colton reaches across the table and takes his hand, “yeah me too”. Kyle smiles brightly, “I wouldn’t call it luck, more like faith. We belong together”. Marcus turns a bit more to him and pulls him into a kiss. Colton smiles, “yeah, I am so blessed with you two”. Marcus pulls away blushing a little, “eat your breakfast loves”. Colton and Kyle laugh but dig in. “hmm, so good baby”, Colton mumbles just before shoving another mouthful of eggs into his mouth.
Kyle nods, “really so good”. Marcus blushes more, “you’re welcome, I guess. I mean it’s just scrambled eggs and toast”. Kyle smiles, “but you made it for us with love, that’s what makes it good”. Marcus laughs, still blushing, “okay now I know you are teasing me”. Colton laughs, “You take such good care of us, love”. Marcus rolls his eyes, laughing quietly, “idiots, my idiots, but you are idiots”. Kyle smirks, “we know, but you love us”, points over to the fridge, “he put our cards up”. Colton smirks, looking back at the fridge, “he does love us”, he winks at Kyle as he turns back.
Marcus choses to focus on his food, instead of indulging his boyfriends and their teasing. He does gently pat Colton’s feet when they appear in his lap. Kyle lets out a happy sigh, “perfect morning”. Colton and Marcus both nod in agreement.
