Chapter 1: Prologue

Chapter Text

She woke up. To a noise. The kind of noise that made her skin crawl. The noise that infuriated her to the point where it would take her about a minute to calm down from it. The kind of noise that made her jump.
It was the sound of a baby crying.
DYO opened her eyes and noticed that the crying was coming from her, herself. She was certainly confused as she looked up into her mother’s eyes for the first time. She was… beautiful. Her long, flowing hair, her face, her clothing. It was stunning.

PYROSAPOE picked up her newly-born daughter and held her gently in her arms, wrapping her in cloth. She held her over her shoulder before her other daughter, being three years old at the time waddled up to the two of them.
She smiled and reached out her arms towards DYO, looking at her mother in an innocent manner.
“I want hold sissy!”, ENA said, her arms still outstretched.

PYROSAPOE, was of course a bit uncomfortable with letting her three year old carry her infant. However she helped ENA on the bed with her and softly placed DYO in her lap. This caused the newborn to begin crying once more as their mother flinched.
ENA, somehow, despite only being a toddler, herself, was able to calm her down slowly. To the point where instead of sobbing, DYO was giggling and playing with her sister’s hair.
The older sister bent her head down so the younger could reach it easier.
PYROSAPOE simply sighed out of relief with a happy smile. It was nice to see her children already getting along.
