Hi! Long time no chat!
I come bearing another Wes fic for all the Wes lovers out there. A huge labour of love that's taken me about 2+ months to write! (For reference, I started writing this on July 6th of 2024, and didn't finish till just today, when I'm posting the first few chapters.)
(Also, if you saw me post this twice, no you did not. I accidentally fucked up the formatting on the other one and couldn't fix it JGHDFGD I am still learning AO3 layouts)
I'm not used to taking on such a large project, but it's been fun! I also managed to thoroughly crush my previous highest word count by about 15,000 words or so, which is absolutely nuts JHGDHGFHGDFJ formatting is gonna be pretty basic tho, I don't do much with coding
The fic itself is fully written cause I refuse to have an unfinished long-fic taunting me from my drafts, so don't worry about huge gaps between updates, but I will be releasing small batches of chapters every day or every other day till they're all out!
Shouts out to my friends Sky, Tim, and Abaddon for being my beta readers and listening to me go crazy for a couple months o7

All that aside, this fic is heavily inspired by Laz's fic "The survivalists" and the movie "Cloverfield", with small hints of "Chronicle" in there too! I really wanted to do a deep dive and try to flesh out Wes and his dynamic with his brothers a ton. I'm so normal about them, you have to believe me /lying
It starts off while Wes is in 7th grade, so give it a chance, I promise it gets good.
