JJ stared at Sergio, who stared back.
"You might have won this time," JJ whispered menacingly, "but do well to remember this, Sergio: You will rue the day you tricked me. Mark this night."
A few moments earlier...
Between her and Emily, JJ was always the light sleeper. Well, Emily was as well, but JJ always had one foot in the waking world. So that's why she snapped wide awake when something landed inches away from her face. Sergio.
"The f- what do you want?" The blonde hissed. Sergio got off the bed and exited the bedroom through the cat flap. Swearing, JJ threw back the covers and followed the cat, whom she found sitting before his water bowl (which, to be fair, was empty) and looking at JJ.
"Only because of Em." JJ muttered as she rinsed and refilled the bowl, waiting for Sergio to finish. However the moment the cat was done, he bolted.
"No, no!" But JJ was too late. Sergio was already on her side of the bed. Letting out a quiet scream of frustration through her teeth, JJ marched over.
"Move." She snapped. Sergio did- in the middle of the bed, occupying the space between JJ and Emily. It took all of JJ's discipline not to forcibly haul the feline off the bed. So she just lay on her side of the bed, staring at Sergio, who stared back.
"You might have won this time," JJ whispered menacingly, "but do well to remember this, Sergio: You will rue the day you tricked me. Mark this night." With that she turned to her side, giving the cat a final glare over her shoulder.
