Chapter Text
Peter is sleeping at the compound today. He decided to stay after their lab session, who ended too late for Peter to catch the subway.
While he was asleep, the weather changed dramatically. There is now a storm instead of a peaceful night, the rain is crushing on the windows and the thunder is getting louder.
The loud noises woke up Peter. He decided to get up to look for a distraction. His feet automatically lead him to the kitchen. On his way he noticed that everyone is asleep, he looked at the time on the oven “1:00 am”. So he made himself a hot chocolate, while being extra careful to not make more noises.
By the time he finished his mug and gone back to bed, he was unable to sleep anymore. The noises of the storm are getting louder in his head, thanks to his supper earring.
Fear ravages Peter, the noises were so loud, so sudden that he couldn’t react. He doesn’t want to join Tony, cause right now, the man is getting his Beaty sleep and god knows, that doesn’t happen often.
Peter is sentenced to wait for the storm to calm down.
As the night continues, the storm doesn’t stop. Peter is curled up under his sheets, scared, crying silently, the headache coming, due to the loud noise in a long amount of time.
Tony is startled awake by the storm. He look at the time on his alarm clock “2:30 am”. Has he realize how loud the noises are he can’t help but worry for Peter. He jumped out of his bed as fast as the thunder storm, probably waking up Pepper in the process, run in the corridor, to Peter’s bedroom door.
Because of the storm Peter didn’t hear Tony coming.
Tony is really careful to not startled the kid by making another sudden noise. He can hear Peter crying through the door. It breaks his heart to hear him and to not have been here sooner.
