Chapter Text
Earth was doing pretty well in the grand scheme of things. Sure, the sun just kicked out Ganymede and Europa and apparently Jupiter was hiding something important, but that was nothing to worry about, right? Right?
It was like any day, talk with mars, play space poker with the others, check on his earthlings, talk a bit with Luna. That was until he felt something Shift. It was almost like when his tectonic plates moved, but less painful.
Suddenly, a symbol on his hand lit up, it was an ugly green that looked like what he imagined pollution would look like.
Earth tapped on it, before his legs gave up on him and he was suddenly falling down to.. somewhere..
He let out an 'oof', feeling grass hit his back. It was a rough lan- hold on, grass? There wasn't grass in space?
He sat up, opening his eyes, only to be greeted with a clear blue sky and trees. This, this wasn't space. This was.. his surface?
"What? Where am I?" He stood up, somehow already used to the motion. "Am I really on my surface?"
He walked around, trying to find the nearest village, town or city to find his earthlings. Maybe even look in a mirror or in a lake to check out what he looked like.
Earth could tell he was wearing a chiton, something the ancient Greeks wore. It was pretty outdated, but maybe it was for the vibes? Yeah, sure that made enough sense.
He finally found a lake, running over to look at himself - well, at his face. He already looked at his body. A cool thing he noticed was the fact he still had the symbol that transported him there, so he hopefully wasn't stuck.
Earth looked down at the lake, seeing himself. It looked like he had that one skin condition.. what was it called again? Virgin? Vi.. vitiligo? Yeah, he thinks that was it. He had random splotches on his body, but the most important thing was the fact that the splotches on his face vaguely resembled his surface.
He wondered if he can bring the others with him. Earth thinks Luna would enjoy walking around on his surface, he knows he has some pretty views. Maybe take him to a library to try and find another book he likes? Maybe find out if "The moon is a harsh mistress" has a second volume or something.
He sighed, tapping on the weird symbol and waiting to get back. Well, more like hoping he would make it back.
He blinked, suddenly finding himself back in space, in the exact position he was when he touched the symbol.
Chapter Text
Now, how was he going to explain this to Luna? Is he going to just say that he felt pain before this-
"-very weird symbol appeared on my right hand and it can take me to my surface." Earth said, fidgeting with his fingers as he explained it to Luna
"have you gone insane again?" Luna asked, leaning forward with a worried look. "There's no way all that happened in just a few hours, Earth."
"No, no, Luna I swear it happened! Look, hold my hand and I'll show you." Earth reached out, looking at Luna with a pout.
Luna's hand grabbed his and he touched the weird symbol, the falling feeling appearing again just before they found themselves on his surface.
"See?!" He said, gesturing to the area around him. "I'm not crazy."
"I believe you, Earth. But.. how? How are we earthlings?" Luna asked, standing up and stumbling a bit, the gravity way heavier than he was used to.
"Uh.. don't know, don't really care. But isn't it amazing? We get to experience what my earthlings experience every single day!" Earth grinned, running and pulling Luna along with him
"And we look like earthlings too! So no weird stares or anything."
"Earth, this is amazing. But should we really stay down here? What if something affects us while we're down here?" Luna asked, looking up at the bright sky.
"I haven't thought that far into the future.. but um, I'm sure we'll be fine! Not like we'll crash into each other." Earth said, waving him off. He took Luna to the lake he saw before, making him look at his reflection.
"Is.. is that me?" Luna asked, hesitantly waving at the reflection.
"It is! And there's me. Don't we just look fantastic?" Earth leaned forward, ruffling Luna's hair.
"This is like a fever dream." Luna sighed, fixing his hair. "How did the symbol even end up on your hand? Is it temporary?"
"Luna, relaax! We'll be fine. You wanna show this to mars?" Earth grinned, pulling Luna back from the lake.
"Earth, I don't think we should-" Luna got cut off my Earth, touching the symbol and getting transported back somehow.
He sighed, just following earth.
"Mars! Marsss!" Earth yelled, waving his hands to get Mars' attention. Earth was excited to show mars. They might even find new games to play except space poker or asteroid dodgeball.
"Eh? Earth?" Mars turned around, floating over to Earth's orbit with a confused look. Luna noted that Phobos and Deimos followed mars, chatting about something he couldn't make out.
"Mars, I just found something super cool. I can make others and myself turn into earthlings! That means we can go explore my countries and scene-"
"Hold on!" Mars yelled, stopping earth. "What do you mean you can turn into an earthling? How did you find that out?"
"Oh. Well, just a few hours ago I had this pain that caught my attention, and then it made this symbol-" Earth showed his right hand to Mars. "- which if I touch makes me turn into an earthling!"
"Whoa.. that's so cool! But how does the work, it breaks the laws of physics?"
"Mars. Mars, we're talking and moving planets." Earth deadpanned, crossing his arms.
"Yeah, that's fair. Should we tell the others? I think Venus would find it pretty interesting. Maybe he'll stop yelling at us about asteroid dodgeball or something." Mars looked behind earth, trying to spot Venus and maybe mercury.
"I don't think he'll ever stop yelling at us about that, Mars." Earth chuckled, looking behind him. "But, I guess we could get the others."
Meanwhile, Luna was talking to Phobos and Deimos, the two micro-moons talking excitedly about some 'ship'?
It was something about Titan and a moon of Uranus, but he wasn't eager to try and dive into why Phobos and Deimos were 'shipping' them. How would they ship moons anyway? Earthlings don't have ships that big.
After a while, Mars returned with Venus and Mercury, the latter looking a bit nervous. It made sense, in a way. Last time Mercury was out of his orbit with the others, it didn't really end well. Whether you talk about the orbit change, or the trials, it didn't matter. Both of them sucked.
"Hello guys!" Earth waved, still pretty excited over his newfound abilitiy. "Let me tell you about this new ability I found."
"Make it fast, Earth. We don't need to anger the sun even more." Venus rolled his eyes, stopping in front of Earth.
"Yeah, I would like to agree with Venus on this. I don't want to anger sun again, so soon too." Mercury sighed, looking anxiously behind him. The sun seemed to be occupied with.. something.
"Yeah, yeah. Okay, I'll make this short then. So, I found this symbol on my hand that can turn me into an earthling and I want you guys to come with!" Earth said, holding up his right hand and pointing at the symbol.
"That sounds stupid- wait, what? Turn.. into an earthling? Did I hear that right?" Venus stopped himself, processing what earth said and becoming confused.
"Earth, are you okay? I don't think any of us should be able to become earthlings." Mercury asked, leaning forward with a confused look that matched Venus'.
"I'm not lying, guys! I swear I can prove this to you. Just hold my hand." Earth huffed, annoyed by how many people thought he went insane. He held out his hand, frustrated.
"I can testify he isn't lying." Luna said, looking up from his book. When did he even pull it out?
Venus hesitated, looking at earth like he was actually insane. Mercury just held Earth's hand, willing to try it.
"Fine. But this better not be some joke, Earth." Venus gave in, huffing. He held out his hand, looking bored.
"Perfect! Gods, I can't wait to show you guys my surface!" Earth grinned, grabbing the others hands somehow, he also held on to Luna.
Suddenly, the planets felt like they were falling, an unknown feeling for most of them until now. They landed on the grass, in the same spot as other times.
Earth stood up, helping Luna and Mars stand up. "See! I wasn't lying."
Venus tried to stand up, looking a bit shocked. "I feel.. weird. A bit heavier than usual. Is this some effect your earthlings have to live with, Earth?"
"I feel normal. So I don't know?" He shrugged, helping the other two stand up.
"Whoa! I'm so much heavier." Mercury exclaimed, struggling to keep his balance. "This is so weird."
"I agree with mercury, Earth. It seems you and Luna are the only ones not that affected by the change." Mars concluded, looking around the group and counting all of them 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.. 6 and 7?
"THIS IS SO COOL!" Deimos grinned, trying to stand up but failing.
"WE'RE BIGGER TOO, DEIMOS!" Phobos yelled, also struggling to sit up and look at the others.
"How- how did my moons end up here?!" Mars asked, turning to face Earth.
"H-hey! I don't know how they're here." He held his hands up, looking genuinely confused.
"Oh! Oh! We wanted to come too, so we held Luna's hand." Phobos said, managing to stand up. He tried to held Deimos up, the action making both of them fall over.
Mars looked towards Luna, confused.
"Why did you let them come along? What if it's dangerous." Mars asked, going over and holding his moons' hands to help them stand up.
"They're not kids, they can make choices for themselves." Luna said, looking at the micro-moons.
"Mars? Mars! What are we wearing?" Deimos asked, playing with the chiton. He managed to unlock the brooches, messing with the top part of it.
"I- How about we put that back, Deimos?" Earth said, rushing to put it back in place. He didn't want to see any of his friends or his friends' moons NAKED.
"What's the problem with the pebbles taking this.. thing off?" Venus asked, curious about why Earth seemed to panicked about not doing that.
"Just some, uh, earthling thing?" Earth said, scratching the back of his neck. He didn't want to explain why he didn't want to see others naked.
"That's off-topic. But come on, I found a lake nearby and you guys can see yourselves in it!" Earth said, grabbing Mars' hand and walking towards the lake.
"Earth, wait! Not all of us can walk that well!" Mercury yelled, still trying to get used to the new gravity and body.
"Hate to say it, but I agree with pipsqueak over there." Venus huffed, crossing his arms.
"I'll help Phobos and Deimos." Said Luna, holding the micro-moons hands as he began leading them towards the lake.
After a while, and a lot of struggle, the planets and three moons managed to make it to the lake.
"Now, just lean forward and look down." He grinned, waiting for his friends' reactions.
Mercury gasped, slowly touching his face as he looked down in amazement. "This is so cool. It's like seeing astrodude but his face kinda changed a bit."
Venus hummed, looking impressed but not saying anything.
"Wait! Phobos not that-" Mars watch as Phobos nearly slipped into the water, only saved by Mars' reflexes "-close to the water.." he sighed, looking down at himself in the lake and smiling.
Phobos and Deimos were amazed, loudly talking about how cool they looked. Touching each other's faces and hair, they looked like twins if you ignored the different hair color and height.
"Earth, I think we should go back now. Make sure nothing happened in space while we were fooling around down here." Luna suggested, putting down a flower he picked up.
"Aw.. Marss, do we have to?" Deimos pouted, grabbing Mars and pulling on him for his attention.
"Yes, Deimos." Mars said, sighing. He pushed his hair back, looking at Venus and Mercury.
"Are we all ready to go?"
"I'm ready." Said Venus, hugging himself. "It way too cold here for me."
"For me too." Mercury piped in, looking less affected than Venus.
"Alright, time to return to space!" Earth exclaimed, clapping his hands together before holding them out.
The others held on like before, blinking and having the darkness of space meet them, a scenery that was familiar to them.
The moment they got back, the sun yelled at them to get back, ready to shoot a solar flare at them. They rushed to their orbits, not wishing to get hit by a solar flare.

Sorry if the end was rushed but I hope you enjoyed the chapter !!
Chapter Text
"Well, that was something." Mars sighed, rubbing his nose bridge. "Your surface sure is cool, Earth. But I admit it was a bit weird seeing Phobos and Deimos so big."
"I would think so. Me and Luna don't have that much of a big difference." Earth shrugged, inspecting the symbol.
"I wonder how Jupiter and his moons would act, they're like soecks of dust compared to him." Mars looked back, staring oast he asteroid belt to try and spot Jupiter.
"You know, I've always wondered something." Earth looked up at mars, tapping his shoulder to get his attention back. "The size difference between a planet and their biggest moon."
"Why's that, Earth?"
"Well, if we do something also make the gas giants earthlings, are they gonna do the, uh, shocked pichaku face when meeting their moons?" Earth said, struggling a bit to recall that popular earthling 'meme'
"The shocked pichaku what?" Mars asked, leaning forward with a bewildered look.
"Hey Earth? I'm going to the asteroid belt to meet up with the others moons. I'll try to be fast, alright?" Luna said, looking at earth with a small smile.
"Ah, don't worry about his axis, Luna. I'll keep it in check for him." Mars piped in, patting Earth's back.
"You act as if I can't be on my own." Earth pouted, crossing his arms. "But have fun, Luna!"
Luna shook his head, knowing what happened when he left Earth to try and make things right with the other moons.
Soon, Phobos and Deimos joined Luna, excitedly talking about 'turning into Earth's lice'
"Phobos, they aren't lice! Lice are tiny beings that live on earthlings." Luna sighed, trying to go faster so Phobos and Deimos would find someone else to talk with.
"But isn't that what earthlings are to Earth?" Deimos asked, grinning.
"They are, but they're not called lice-" Luna was interrupted by a shout. He looked up, seeing Titan waving them over.
"Phobos! Deimos! Luna! Over here!" Titan called them over, some moons standing behind him already.
"Titan!" The moons of Mars rushed over, pulling on Titan and talking about turning into Earthlings.
"That's nice, guys. Now how about we start this session?" Titan cleared his throat, staring at the other moons.
There was an awkward silence, most of them still in disbelief at Ganymede and Europa's ejection.
"So, um.. anyone have something fun to talk about?" Titan asked, trying to break the silence.
...
"Oh! Oh! Titan, I have something to say!" Phobos yelled, jumping up and down.
"Phobos? Come on, tell us." Titan smiled, feeling glad they had something to talk about.
"Okay so, me and Deimos were talking when Earth approached mars-" The moons looked at each other, tense. "- and they were talking about turning into Earthlings! So we held onto mars and ended up in this cool place Earth said was him." Phobos said, looking at Luna
"And we got BIGGER!" Deimos added, yelling
"YEAH, BIGGER! WE WERE ALMOST AS BIG AS LUNA!" Phobos nodded, grinning.
"Wait, hold on. What do you mean you became earthlings, Phobos and Deimos?" Titania asked, floating forward with a curious look.
"Triton! Triiiton.. what's an earthling?" Proteus asked, looking at his older brother.
"H-h-how is that possible?" Asked Io, coughing.
"You became earthlings? Aw, that's so nice!" Ariel cooed, leaning down to look at Phobos and Deimos with a smile.
"Hold on guys. Phobos, what do you mean by that? We can't possibly become earthlings like astrodude." Titan stepped forward, trying to make the others shut up.
"Well, Earth has this symbol-"
"Phobos, Deimos!" Luna chided, cutting him off. "That is Earth's business. It's not nice to talk about it without his permission."
"Oh come on, Luna. Let them talk! We're all curious about it, no?" Ariel looked around, seeing the others nod.
"Er.." Luna looked around, biting the dry skin off his lip. "Fine. But you better not be telling anyone else about this.." he sighed.
"Yay!" Phobos cheered, ready to continue his story.
"Anyway, Earth has this weird circle symbol on his hand that if he touches we fall to his surface! It was super duper cool!" Deimos said, mimicking a fall.
"And we were wearing this weird thing that Earth wanted to keep on us. It was weird but whatever." Phobos said, trying to think of a word for the thing he was wearing.
"What happened next?" Callisto asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Well, we looked into a lake and saw how we looked as Earthlings. Phobos almost fell in too!"
"Deimos! You weren't supposed to talk about that!" Phobos pouted, turning away from his brother.
"Guys, guys, let's not fight." Titan said, pushing the two micro-moons aways from each other slightly.
"Fine, Titan.." They agreed, still pouting a bit.
"So w-w-what happened next?" Io asked, looking back at Callisto.
"I don't know, Io. Asked Phobos and Deimos."
"Well! After that we went back." Phobos shrugged.
"Yeah! We went back here!" Deimos nodded.
"Alright, guys." Titan clapped his hands, getting everyone's attention. "Let's go back to our orbits now."
The moons got back into their own groups, starting the trek back to their orbits.

Once again, sorry for the rushed end!! (Also not beta read )
Chapter Text
"Well, that was productive, guys." Titan said, leading the others towards Saturn's orbit.
"You say that because no one mentioned Ganymede and Europa." Encaladus rolled his eyes, walking next to Iapetus.
"I have to agree with Encaladus, Titan. Ever since the moon revolution, you've been putting the blame on Ganymede and Europa." Iapetus said.
"I must say, what Phobos and Deimos said was interesting." Rhea said, trying to stir the conversation away to evade any arguments. "Becoming earthlings? It sounds fun."
"It sure does. Lets us escape the situation with Saturn." Dione shrugged, "Admit it Titan, you're curious about how things on Earth are."
Titan huffed, rubbing his eyes. "Fine, fine! I am.. a bit curious."
Encaladus laughed, "Are you still on with that obsession with Earth?"
"W-what?! I wasn't obsessed with the Earth!" Titan protested, shaking his head frantically and waving his hands.
"Titan, that has to be the worst lie I have ever seen you tell in all the time we spent together." Iapetus deadpanned, shrugging.
"Whatever.."
"Oh, Titan! Welcome back! Oh, er.. You too, Dione, Rhea and.. Encaladus?" Saturn greeted, cheerful as always, though he faltered when saying the other moons' names.
Encaladus leaned over to Dione, whispering "It still seems so unbelievable that Saturn remembers some of our names."
"Yeah, I agree." Dione nodded.
"How was this 'moon club' of yours? Played anything fun?" Saturn asked, leaning down to be closer to his moons.
"yeah. Mars' moons talked about some symbol Earth received that could turn them into earthlings." Mimas said, finally saying something after just watching the others debate.
"Oh? Weird symbol?" Saturn asked, genuinely curious.
"Um, Yeah. We don't know what type of symbol or more details, but apparently Phobos and Deimos became earthlings along with the rocky planets and Luna." Titan said, looking back at the asteroid belt.
"That's amazing! I might have to talk with earth to see if we can visit too. Consider it a, um.. a bonding exercise!" Saturn said, standing up with a determined look.
"Saturn-" Titan got cut off by Saturn starting to walk towards Earth's orbit.
"Are we forced to spend more time with Saturn now?" Rhea asked, "Don't get me wrong, I want Saturn to pay attention to the rest of us. But isn't it a bit weird that we might be on another planets surface? Even worse, the one we tried to attack..?"
"That, that does sound pretty bad, Rhea." Titan agreed, sighing.
"Oh, Jupiter!" Saturn greeted the other gas giant, smiling. The other looked worse for wear, his paranoia and the result of the trials clearly taking a hold of him. "Let me tell you about this nice thing I found out from one of my moons!"
"Oh, what is that, Saturn?" Jupiter asked, looking back down at his moons, mainly at his A team.
"Apparently, our good friend Earth can now become one of his earthlings, and bring others with him too!"
"That's nice, Saturn. But that sounds fake to me. Considering how big we are, it'll be hard to just make ourselves smaller to fit on Earth's surface."
"Are you still down in the dumps about Him?" Saturn sighed, patting Jupiter's shoulder. "He won't come back. Just let yourself relax and forget about Him!"
"Saturn, I swear he's after us. You just need to-"
"No, none of that! Let's go ask Earth together." Saturn cut him off, grabbing Jupiter's hand and continuing to walk towards Earth's orbit.

Also thank you guys for reading my fic!!!! :D
Chapter 5
Notes:
HELLO. Sorry if this chapter is weird :( but for some reason it's kinda hard for me to write Saturn and Jupiter?? Next chapter will probably be longer and better.
(This was also not beta read.)
Chapter Text
"Hey, Earth?"
"Yeah, Luna?"
"I think Saturn is waving at us."
"What?" Earth turned around, seeing the ringed planet waving in their direction. Considering they were the only ones in this area of space, it was probably them. "That's weird. Never really Talked with Saturn."
Earth turned around, looking back to see if the sun was look at him. He seemed to be preoccupied with telling jokes to Mercury and Venus. They didn't look very happy.
"Hey! Earth!" Saturn yelled, sitting down.
Earth sighed, turning to look at Luna. "Guess we have to go. They walked towards the asteroid belt, earth doing his best to avoid anything that could make his earthlings die.
"Hello! I've found out from my moons that you have this ability to, uh, turn into an earthling?" Saturn said, looking back down at his hand for confirmation.
"That's right.." Earth agreed, narrowing his eyes at Saturn. Why did the moons know and why did they tell Saturn?
"Well, I was wondering if you could help me with something. You see, me and my moons aren't on the best terms-" Earth nodded, looking at Luna. "- so I wanted to go to your surface and maybe spend some time with them?"
"Ah. I.. don't know if I can do that, Saturn." Earth scratched his neck, looking at the gas giant. "I mean, I can try..?"
He looked hesitantly at the moons in Saturn's hand. Look, he had no hard feelings for them, but it was a bit awkward having to take his would-be killers to his surface, y'know, the one thing they tried to destroy.
Luna looked between the two planets, wondering what was going through their minds.
"Thank you, Earth!" Saturn beamed, smiling.
"Saturn? Are you done talking with the earth?" Jupiter asked, appearing behind him.
"Oh, yes! I almost forgot you were here, Jupiter." Saturn nodded, pointing at the smaller planet. "Earth has decided to let us visit his surface."
"That's, that's nice.. but how is that possible?"
"About that, Jupiter.. we don't really know. It just sorta happened?" Earth piped in, rubbing his neck.
"Let's not think about what's possible or isn't. We can go have fun now!" Saturn said, throwing his hands in the air before remembering he was holding his moons. "Sorry."
"Right. Right, I can do that!" Earth said, mostly trying to reassure himself. Taking his friends there was easier, they were all about the same size and knew each other. But now he was taking the gas giants? Earth barely even talked with them!
"Earth, you don't have to take us to your surface. We get it if that's too-"
"Nope! I can do it, Jupiter." Earth said, looking nervously at Luna. "Just, er, take my hand? I'm not sure how that works, considering you're.. how many times bigger than me?"
"Well, scientists say that about 1,321 Earth's fit inside me, and 764 in Saturn." Jupiter answered.
"Don't say it like that, man. It sound so.." Earth grimaced, looking away. "But yeah, I don't know how that works since I've just held the others' hands."
Jupiter hummed, thinking for a moment. "Think that just touching the other planet works?"
"Maybe?" Earth sighed, looking at Luna again. "That's how Phobos and Deimos went with us, right?"
"Yeah, that's true, Earth." He nodded, looking up from his book. When did he even pull that out?
"So, We have to hold hands or touch?" Saturn asked, tilting his head. He held out his hand, smiling.
"We think so, Saturn." Jupiter sighed, deciding to just go with Saturn.

Thank you everyone so much!!! I saw we got to 41 kudos and about 200 hits. I am so happy that I can't even express it in words!!!
Chapter Text
They lannded in a group of limbs, groans and curses being yelled.
"C-cant.. breathe.." Titan complained, trying to push the other moons off him.
"This is so.. weird." Jupiter mumbled, raising his head to look at the others sprawled on the ground.
"It is! Aw, look at you guys." Saturn cooed, managing to sit up to look at his moons.
"I-i-it is!" Io agreed, scaring Jupiter.
"Whoa! When did you get here, Io?" He looked around, "You too Callisto?"
"Yeah. We wanted to ask you something but it seems we came at a bad time." Callisto nodded.
"Callisto! Io!" Luna greeted, running over to help Io stand up.
"L-l-luna! Amazing seeing you-" Io coughed, body instinctively raising up it's hand to his mouth. "-whoa I didn't cough on anyone this time. Anyway, amazing seeing you here!"
"Maybe you should do that when we're in the solar system too, Io." Callisto sat up, using her hands to remain up.
"Jupiter! Look how big they are." Saturn said, pointing at the pile of bodies.
"Yeah. It's a bit weird to see them this big compared to us."
Earth stood up, looking at the others chatting. He wasn't sure what to say, but he could become the guide..
"Alright, let's all try to sit up at least." Earth said, going over to the moons and helping them off each other.
"Sit up? I feel so much heavier and weighed down." Titan sighed, looking up to see the blue sky.
"I admit, the gravity here is all.. weird." Rhea said, trying to use her arms to sit up.
"You'll get used to my gravity soon enough. I think." Earth reassured them, helping Rhea sit up.
He continued to help the others, the sun moving across the sky as time passed.
"Well, that took a long time.." Earth huffed, looking up to see the sun close to setting. "Night time will fall soon, which isn't that great.. we don't know in which continent or country we are, there could be predators, snakes, other animals willing to hunt us."
"W-what?! Predators trying to hunt us?" Saturn asked, looking around.
"Saturn, Earth said it's only a possibility." Encaladus said, staying next to Dione.
"That's right. But shouldn't we try to find a source of light? I heard Earth's surface gets pretty dark at times." Jupiter asked, looking around.
"It does tend to get pretty dark, but Luna helps reflect The Suns light in the night. So if it's a full moon, we should be okay.. ish." Earth nodded, patting Luna's head.
"That's going to be weird. Seeing myself with no face? Eugh." Luna pushed Earth's hand off, trying to fix his hair again.
"Oh, I almost forgot that we will see Luna in the sky!" Saturn said, looking up.
"Hey, Luna? Can you watch them for a moment? I wanna bring the others to see the night sky from my surface." Earth asked, before watching the others. Saturn and Jupiter started talking about.. something. The moons were talking to each other too, but there seemed to be some sort of joke going on.
"Huh? Uh, yeah sure." Luna nodded, turning his attention from the sky to the others.
"Great. See you later!" Earth grinned, before disappearing.
He sighed, walking over to a patch of grass where it was smaller. He sat down, watching the others interact with each other as he played with the grass. As time passed, it got darker and darker.
Luna could see himself in the sky now, making his orbit around the earth. He won't lie, seeing himself from an earthlings perspective was both fascinating and terrifying.
He could see why they used to worship him, he was so.. bright. Luna never realized how different he looked to Earthlings.
"Luna? Hey Luna?!" Titan yelled, trying to get Luna's attention.
"Wh-? Oh." Luna stood up, walking over to the group of moons. "Yeah, titan?"
"Do you know when we're getting back? It's starting to get pretty cold." He asked. "We are in nothing but these.. robes?"
"Oh, well, er.. no? Technically after Earth brings the other rocky planets and watch the night sky or something." Luna shrugged, looking at the others.
"Really? We have to wait for Earth to have his fun looking up at the same scenery we see normally?" Encaladus huffed, rolling his eyes.
"Be patient, Encaladus. This could be something like a one in a lifetime opportunity." Iapetus said, putting his hand on the others shoulder.
After a moment, the sound of more people appeared.
"And we're back!" Earth announced, standing up and brushing off the dirt. Venus cursed, pushing mercury off him.
"Get off, pipsqueak."
"You didn't have to drag us here, Earth!" Mars said, helping mercury up.
"Especially when it's this cold, man." Mercury said, wrapping his arms around himself.
"Why are there other earthlings here? I know Lunas there, but who are the others?" Venus asked, trying to make it seem like he didn't mind the cold.
"Oh, Venus! It's us, Saturn and Jupiter." Saturn waved, smiling.
"And those are Saturn's moons. Io and Callisto are also here, but only those two." Earth said, looking around for Jupiter's moons.
"Oh! So, why are we all here, Earth?" Mercury asked, looking around. He tried spotting everyone Earth mentioned, but couldn't seem to find Io nor Callisto.
"I want us to watch the night sky together! Some of my earthlings even go to observatories to see planets!" Earth pointed up, "We are also in a zone with no light pollution."
"Light pollution?" Mars asked, looking around. "What's that?"
"It's when Earthlings misuse outdoor lights and replace the light from the sun that I reflect with artificial light." Luna answered.
"Ah. That's interesting." Jupiter nodded, looking around.
"Um, has anyone seen Io and Callisto?"
The others shook their heads.
"Well. That's bad." Earth said, looking around. "But surely they couldn't have gone that far.."
"How did we not notice Io missing? Or Callisto?" Titan whispered to the other moons, getting 'i don't know's or shrugs.
"Maybe because we didn't talk with them ever since we came here." Dione suggested.
"Probably." Iapetus agreed, nodding.
"Okay, erm, Search party time!" Earth clapped his hands together, looking around nervously.
"The moons can go together towards north. Mars, Jupiter and Saturn will go to west. And Me, Venus and Mercury can go east? And if we don't find them, we can go south." Earth nodded, pointing where the group was supposed to go.
"Let's try to not get lost."
"Do I have to work with Pipsqueak over here?" Venus complained, rolling his eyes.
"Yes. Now let's get moving!"

Io watched the others talk, holding on to Callisto to get used to the gravity.
"T-t-this is boring. Can we go explore?" Io asked, pulling Callisto's hand.
"We should stick around. What if we get lost?" Callisto shook her head, looking over to the others.
"We'll be fine!" Io reassured, grinning. He pulled Callisto along, doing his best to not trip.
"I don't believe that, if I'm honest. We don't know what's on Earth's surface." Callisto pulled back, trying to stop him with a tired look on her face.
"It can't be that bad if the others a-a-are fine!" Io coughed, continuing to pull Callisto along.
She sighed, relenting. "Fine. But we're not going too far."
"L-l-lets go!" Io grinned, running forward.
"I-io!" Callisto yelled, stumbling before managing to run with Io.
After a bit of running, they both got tired. They ended up in a forest, the sun fully set.
"T-t-this is so spooky!" Io said, clinging to Callisto.
"I agree. We should head back." Callisto said, looking at Io. "So?"
"W-what? Didn't you keep track of the way we came?" Io asked, confused.
"No? I thought you would've, considering it was your idea, Io." Callisto sighed, sitting down.
"We're lost, aren't we?"
"Y-y-yup!" Io said, sitting down next to her. "But I think Jupiter will find us eventually!"
"How can you be so- you know what? Nevermind." Callisto sighed, closing her eyes.
Io coughed, starting to talk about something he heard a moon said a while ago.
Chapter 8
Notes:
I'm sorry if the newer chapters are shorter than usual!! I'm (sadly) still sick!!
Chapter Text
"Earth? How are we supposed to do this?" Mercury asked, looking around. "We don't even have a place to meet up at!"
"Yeah, pipsqueak's right." Venus agreed, not making any effort to help.
"Look, I didn't expect for them to get lost! I didn't even plan for them to be here." Earth said, kicking a rock.
"That's great, but shouldn't have a plan since it's your surface or something? Can't you feel where they are or something?" Venus rolled his eyes, stopping.
"No! Well, unless they start drilling into my surface, but even then it would have to be a big drill and-" Earth stopped himself, facepalming.
"Can we continue looking for Io and Callisto? I don't think arguing will help us." Mercury said, still trying to spot them.
"Fine. But how will we even spot them? It's night." Venus reluctantly agreed, starting to walk again.
"That's the fun part, we don't." Earth deadpanned. "We have to hope we get close enough to spot them and not some earthlings."
A bush rustled near them, the sound making the trio freeze.
-----------------
"Io? Callisto?!" Titan yelled, trying to not trip.
"Do you have to yell? Do we even know how far sound travels on earth?" Iapetus asked, playing with a flower he found.
"Considering the fact it seemed normal when we were talking, I think it should be about the same?" Dione suggested, trying to fix her chiton.
"Guys, let's focus on finding Jupiter's moons. Imagine how scared they must be." Rhea said, walking behind Encaladus.
"What's there to fear on Earth? That's a genuine question." Encaladus asked, looking around. "I don't see anyone else except us."
"Other lifeforms? We don't know how they will act with us." Titan said, shrugging.
"That's fair.. but still. They can't be that dangerous, can they?"
"We should still be wary of anything we see. We don't know what's hostile and what isn't." Iapetus said.
"I agree with Iapetus on this." Dione said, finally adjusting her chiton to what she deemed acceptable.
--------------
"How do I keep losing moons?" Jupiter sighed, pushing hair out of his face.
"Cheer up, Jupiter! Your moons are just missing, not ejected." Saturn said, patting his friend on his back.
"Yeah, I agree with Saturn. I'm sure finding them will be easy!" Mars nodded. "They couldn't have gone that far, since they're still getting used to being earthlings like the rest of us."
"Maybe. Thanks guys."
"No problem, Jupiter! Always happy to help." Saturn grinned, looking more energetic.
"Let's head towards that forest." Mars suggested, pointing towards it. "They might be there."
"That's a great idea, Mars. They could've headed towards it for shelter when it got too dark to see." Jupiter said, nodding.
