Summary
The biggest point of contention in Qingyi and Zhu Yuan’s relationship is Qingyi’s deep-set insecurity. It isn’t what the movies have led Zhu Yuan to expect, clingy and suspicious and suffocating, but instead it is sad, quiet and self-deprecating, a “I’m waiting for you to realize you deserve so much more than me and leave”. Zhu Yuan wants to prove that she isn’t going anywhere, that her love for Qingyi is real, but how is she supposed to do that?
