Work Text:
I am the water beneath your feet, that keeps you alive, keeps you from dehydration
Though you seem to forget it, I can feed you, and provide for you, but only if you care for me.
You haven’t been doing that.
The rubbish thrown in has poisoned me
The wastewater flowing in has polluted me
And the pollution has killed the fish, leaving only pests and weeds
They hurt me. It hurts
Weeds begin to cover me
Dying as you look away,
Pretending to not see
Entitled beast as you are
The death of you comes soon
There is no rush
