Backstory
As a young girl, Amelia had mever been the star of the family. She was the furst born, the one supposed to look after her siblings.
Yet rather than being praised for this, she was forgotten. She soon became something like a ghost to her parents.
Unless they needed someone to babysit or tidy, she was just there.
When she was 10 years old, her life changed for the worst.
What's worse than being invisible, you may ask? Being absolutely visible.
To this day, she still has no clue of as to why.
But it seemed he rfather turned on her, hating her with every fibre of his being, and making this well-known.
To the rest of the world, their family seemed picture-perfect. And for Elena and Jeremy, it sort of was.
However, to Amelia, famiky could not have a harsher meaning.
Her mother was neglectful, though thus was not a big issue for Amelia considering that wa sthe way it ahd always been.
Yet she wished he rfather was neglectful. No, he was quite the opposite. It seemed he recognised every little thing she did.
Well, every wrong thing that is.
If she was anything less than perfect, she would not hear the end of it. Nor would her body feel the end of it.
Though h3r siblings or anyone outside of the famiky would know, Amelia was covered in bruises, burns and cuts, now of which self-inflicted.
To her siblings, she was not disliked. Quite the opposite, in fact. She was always spending time with their dad, leaving them to believe she was favourited.
Elena didn't quite like this, however, she didn't blame Amelia, beubg more jealous if anything.
Jeremy on the other hand, hated her for it, and he didn't afik to make this known. Constantly criticising her, yet noone could criticise and hurt more than her father.
As a result of her tragic life, Amelia became quite shy, not wanting to say or do anything taht upset anyone.
This drove Elena and Jeremy closer, leaving Amelia on her own.
Even at school, she was on her own.
She wanst disliked by everyone, don't get me wrong, and she had a friend group.
Though she could never really call any of them her true friends, they where more like acquaintances she got along with.
And over all, she was quiet. And as any quiet kid would tell you. Being quite is as if being food in high-school.
Anyone near the top of the schools social standing didn't miss the opportunity to make fun and hurt you with their words.
Now, at age 20, Amelia was glad to not be in high-school anymore. Though she didn't go to college.
It wanst that she coudknt get into college, her grades where perfect, if they where anything less, she would be beaten.
However, her parents died, and even though her aunt Jenna was prepared to look after them, Amelia didn't wnat to leave her on her own.
And with the money her parents had left behind plus Amelia working at the grill, they had a steady enough income.
Amelia loved her aunt Jenna and also knew she may need help with Jeremy.
You may ask why she didn't do her first year of university, considering ehr parents died whne she was 20, not 19.
However, she couldn't bring herself to leave.
Leave another target behind to be a victim of her fathers anger.
And so she stayed, in order to protect her siblings.
