Work Text:
Summer has arrived at his side and the sun gently caresses his face. The wind from that rooftop moves his hair strongly but his smile does not disperse.
His gaze moves to one of his sides, and he sees his little siglings at his side. His smile widens at seeing them so excited.
The air changes, his chest feels bubbly and his eyes shine. Although he shyly hides them behind his aviation glasses.
He walks a couple of steps and a pompous green hair can be seen in the distance.
Roro and Lala let go of his hand as they run towards the boy with green eyes and curls.
"Roro! Lala! I missed you so much, guys!" Izuku says as he takes both children in his arms and spins around, the soft childish laughter of the three can be heard. Rody hides a smile behind his palm and approaches to greet the rest of the boys who are there. He first addresses Shoto with a handshake and then Katsuki mimicking the action.
"They definitely missed you too." Rody says as he lifts his glasses and smiles at the sight of the cute curly boy with his cheeks squished by his siblings cheeks. The tender image stirs something inside his chest, and he reaches out his arms so he can take the boy in for a hug.
Izuku's eyes sparkle, he's not sure if it's from the summer sun hitting his face or if it's from the image of a smiling, soft-eyed Rody.
"And you didn't miss me, Rody?" Still, his body moves on its own and now his head is against the chest of the brown-haired boy. Izuku gently inhales the scent Rody gives off, squeezing his body and also the body of his siblings in his arms.
The boy's gray eyes widen in surprise and he tilts his face to avoid exposing himself to Izuku noticing his blush. "No that much, you were the one who asked me to come."
And as he finished that sentence, afraid that the hero might feel his unbridled heartbeat pounding in his chest, Pino appeared fluttering around Izuku.
The appearance of the little bird drew a laugh from Izuku's lips, his head moved so he could look into Rody's eyes and they both smiled softly, Rody's shy expression was softly illuminated by the morning sun.
A cough breaks the cute moment and the two heroes wait near the stairs.
"We don't want to break the moment but this shitty wind puts me in a bad mood." Katsuki says, one of his hands covering his face to get a better look, Shoto beside him letting out a small laugh and nodding softly.
Izuku and Rody share a quick glance, a knowing giggle escaping their lips and they begin walking towards the stairs. Izuku has Roro in his arms while Lala is in her older brother's arms.
The group exits through the main doors of Shoto's father's agency. The helipad of the Endeavor building was the meeting point and the temporary parking lot for Rody's plane.
Only two of the three heroes were dressed in their respective costumes. Dynimight and Shoto were adjusting the last details of their costumes while the pair were inside their cloud, sharing silly giggles and hidden blushes.
"Nerd." Katsuki breaks that cloud again and snaps his fingers between the two boys and both look at him with confusion on their faces. "Half-half and I are leaving now, avoid doing weird things in front of the kids."
The last comment comes from the lips of the hero who had already started walking, greeting the two boys with his back turned, who were blushing and stunned. Shoto, on his side, turned to greet the children and keep up with his temporary patrol partner.
"The last time we left them alone, Midoriya had 12 counts of murder." Shoto says, when they were far enough away from the agency and looks in the opposite direction of his partner.
"I wouldn't be surprised if it happened again."
And they both let out a soft laugh that gets lost in the noise of the city.
...
Izuku trembled with Roro in his arms when he heard the last thing Katsuki said. He looked in panic and flushed cheeks at Rody beside him.
Rody was also looking at him, their eyes reconnecting for an instant. And the pilot couldn't hold back his laughter any longer, the hero let out a heavy sigh and smiled softly shaking his head.
"He's hanging out with the girls in class too much." Izuku says, as his body moves just enough to leave the boy he was holding in his arms now on the ground. Roro instantly took his hand and intertwined it.
"Is that so?" Rody says, as he begins to walk, the space between him and Izuku being occupied by his siblings were looking at the streets of Tokyo in amazement.
Izuku turns his face to meet Rody's profile, quickly turning his gaze forward as he begins to feel his cheeks blush. "Yeah, ever since they knew you were coming, they're like this."
"Are you like this too, Deku? I didn't miss you that much, but you should let me know when you do." The comment makes them both exchange glances, Izuku's expression quickly changing as he notices Pino sneaking up under Rody's clothes while wearing an amused expression, pointing at Rody's red ears.
Rody, feeling Pino being close to his neck and as Izuku's gaze moves there, makes his hands cover from his ears to his neck, hearing Izuku's soft laugh beside him. This makes his shoulders relax and he laughs shyly with the boy.
Lala and Roro are now a couple of steps ahead, and without being able to notice, Rody and Izuku are brushing their hands again. They can both feel the heat emanating from the touch, but they don't have the courage. Their gazes remain forward as they watch the two children moving from window to window.
"Don't go so far, Roro, Lala." Rody scolds the children as they moved a little further ahead, there were quite a few people and not being able to see them directly made him nervous.
"It's okay, you can always call a hero if something happens." Izuku says without taking his gaze off the front, although he hides a smile by biting his lips. A small detail that Rody notices when he looks at Izuku with amazed eyes, denying it with a nasal laugh escaping.
The afternoon passes between laughter and anecdotes of the time they were apart. Japan and especially Tokyo was preparing for the fireworks festival, the streets are decorated with paper lanterns, and different things related to the festival that is coming that night.
Rody along with his siblings look at everything in amazement. And now Izuku is teaching the pair of children how to eat a Mochi stick without hurting themselves in the process.
The hero had bought several sweet things to share with his guests, the children were more than excited by each store they enter. And although Rody offered to pay at least for what he would eat, Izuku continued to refuse like a child.
"You should have let me pay for all this, Deku." Rody makes a pout with his lips while with difficulty and concentration, he uses the chopsticks to bring a dango to his mouth, making an expression of satisfaction. In front of him was Izuku kneeling, with his mochi stick, biting slowly and waiting for both children to imitate his actions.
The moment Izuku takes another bite between his lips, his eyes connect with Rody's, an intense gaze that makes the foreigner's chest vibrate, Izuku's intense eyes dug deep into his soul in an instant.
"Just eat carefully!" Izuku broke contact when he heard Roro applauding his sister for eating a whole mochi without hurting herself. Izuku celebrates with them as he stands up.
Now the hero stands in front of Rody, with his mouth open and eyes closed.
Rody runs out of air once again, nervousness wins and his eyes travel from the soft eyelashes that direct him to a shower of endless freckles and those pompous lips, so soft to the eye, painted with a soft pink and a tongue almost equally pink.
He wasn't sure how long he stared at Izuku's lips, but he squeals when one of the hero's eyes widens and an amused expression now paints his face. Rody is scared that Izuku caught him staring at his lips.
"You have to feed me some dango, Rody." Izuku says, holding back his smile and keeping his mouth open afterwards. Rody is nervous, so nervous that his body expresses it through shaking hands and letting out a small noise of affirmation, he gently directs a sweet to Izuku's lips.
As soon as the soft dough coated in a dark glaze touches the hero's tongue, his lips close around the tip of Rody's fingers. Leaving just a noticeable trail of saliva there.
Izuku opens his eyes quickly and with a smile on his face, he turns around to start walking in the direction of Roro and Lala who were still enjoying their own mochis.
"Really delicious, you should eat more, Rody!" Izuku says out loud, not looking back. Rody on the other hand, was completely blank, his hands frozen in place as the red color takes over his face, ears, and probably his entire body. Releasing a shaky sigh and mist from his ears.
The two children freak out when the hero arrives at their side, his entire expression tense and a somewhat dark smile, his cheeks exploding red as he eagerly eats the green and white candy left in his Mochi stick.
Lala and Roro quickly look at each other and then look for their older brother, finding Rody with one of his hands on his face and Pino flying around him.
Lala giggles at seeing her older brother in that state. "Deku-san." One of her hands rested on the hero's shoulder and this subtle touch broke the green-curled boy's concentration, his eyes quickly searching for the girl.
"Tell me, Lala." Izuku says softly, his own hand covering the girl's hand.
"Do you like my older brother?" Lala whispers this, as Roro gave a small tap on her shoulder to let her notice that Rody was walking in their direction.
The question takes Izuku so by surprise that once again, his cheeks blush hard and he begins to babble incoherently without noticing that Rody is now on his back.
Rody's hand is placed on Izuku's and their hands finally manage to have a small contact, the warmth of Rody's hands makes Izuku jump nervously in place. The hero notices how the boy's hands are bigger than his own and how Rody's thumb gives soft caresses over his scars.
"R-rody..." Izuku raises his gaze, and Rody smiles softly, but Lala is raising her arms for her brother to take her in his arms and carry her.
The warm touch breaks at this and Roro quickly takes Izuku's hand. The boy's smile is directed at the hero as he pulls him forward to start walking.
"Deku-san said there are games and more things before the fireworks!" Roro says excitedly and Izuku's expression changes, nodding as he walks holding the boy's hand.
His free hand is gently stretched out by Rody to stop him from moving forward, Izuku's face turning to be able to see the grey-eyed boy.
"Deku..." Rody's soft, deep voice calls out to him, Izuku is sure no one has ever said his name as softly as Rody does every time he calls out to him.
"Midoriya!?" A shrill and excited voice makes the hero's face move again to look for where the familiar voice comes from, he had noticed that it was Kirishima's voice.
The blond boy along with several more of his companions were walking in their direction, wearing civilian clothes and approaching the hero and the pilot, Kirishima along with Jirou, Kaminari and surprisingly with a disheveled head of purple strands, Shinsou was with them too.
"Guys!" Izuku approaches the group as well, his wrist is still between Rody's fingers who looks at everything with surprise and doubt.
Roro and Lala stood at the sides of their brother, holding his clothes tightly.
Izuku greets everyone, and notices a small body that is holding onto Shinsou's sleeve. "Eri-chan!" The hero bends down to stretch his arms and immediately receives a sweet hug from the white-haired girl.
"What are you doing here, Midoriya?" Jirou asks as he watches the green-curled boy stand up with Eri in his arms.
"Yeah! Before we came we ran into Todoroki and Bakugo doing patrols." Kaminari comments, as he holds out the caramel-dipped apple Eri was eating earlier. The girl takes it in her hands as she makes small sounds of satisfaction between bites.
"I thought BakuBro told me you were his patrol partner." Kirishima joins in, his arm resting on Denki's right shoulder and he smiles at the sight of the girl eating so excitedly. "So I was surprised when I saw him with Todoroki walking in the middle."
"I was surprised to see you two here." Izuku says, his eyes traveling around the group until they land on Shinsou, both of them smiling subtly. "I thought you were supposed to patrol too, especially you, Shinso-kun. I remember you telling me Aizawa was strict about that." And he receives a laugh from the purple haired boy in response.
"Yeah, but Eri wanted to go out today and the boys had nothing to do. So she gave me permission." Shinsou explains as his hand goes to his sister's cheek gently to wipe the candy staining her skin. His eyes stretch enough to see behind Izuku a brown haired boy with two children. "And what are you doing in civilian clothes today? Did Endeavor-san give you the day off for the festivities?"
"Yeah! I took the afternoon today!" Izuku says with a smile on his lips and turns his head enough to be able to cross paths with Rody again who was standing a few steps away. "I did my patrol this morning, because someone special came to visit me today."
Izuku's free hand reaches out to invite Rody to walk beside him, with hesitation, the boy takes his hand and walks with his siblings forward. "Guys, this is Rody. Rody, this is Kirishima, Denki, Jirou, and Shinsou-kun." Izuku waves his hands at each name he mentions and the boys greet Rody.
A cough to clear his throat, stretching the collar of his shirt. "R-rody Soul, it's a pleasure..." A somewhat sloppy bow makes several boys giggle as they see his siblings imitate his action.
"Relax! We're not as formal as it seems." Kirishima says with a smile as he sees Rody return to his place and can only timidly nod, his eyes immediately seeking help in Izuku's eyes.
"This is Roro and Lala! Rody's little siblings." Izuku brings his hand to Eri and gently sets her down on the ground, the girl holds onto Izuku's clothes quickly, the three boys are shyly looking at each other. "And this is Eri, Shinsou's little sister. I hope they can be good friends."
Eri shyly approaches the girl in the orange flowered dress, giving a small wave with her hand as the other holds the sweet apple. The children wave back as they feel Rody's hand subtly push them forward.
"Y-you like apples?" Eri asks the children. Lala nods excitedly and with an infectious smile makes Eri smile as well. "W-do you want some of my apple?"
"Yes!" Lala nods excitedly and she forcefully grabs the mochi stick she has in her hand and offers it to Eri. "You can have mine too!"
"And mine too!" Roro extends his mochi stick to Eri and she can nod. The two siblings and Eri start walking and everyone starts following them between laughs and smiles at the children's tender interaction.
"Rody and... where are you from?" Kirishima lets his outgoing personality shine through and takes the pilot by the shoulders as they walk, Kaminari following Kirishima's steps and Rody asks as well.
"Yeah! I didn't know Midoriya knew people from abroad." Denki says and his body sways forward.
"Well..." Rody's nervous and awkward expression is a poem, turning his head to look for Izuku who was a couple of steps behind.
Izuki giggled and shrugged his shoulders in amusement as he saw the boy being surrounded by his friends.
"Yeah, where did you meet him, Midoriya?" Jirou asks, he's standing next to the green-curled boy, on the other end is Shinsou walking silently with his hands in his pockets, his gaze forward as he looks after Eri who walks in front.
"I met him on the Humanrise mission, after that we never stopped talking." Izuku explains, an unconscious smile appearing on his lips and his gaze moves from the girl and focuses on the back of the brown-haired boy who was nervously talking to his two companions.
"But that was almost a year ago..." Jirou brings one of his fingers to his chin to think. "Isn't he the boy who was with you when you were accused of murdering people? I remember that's what Todoroki told us!"
Izuku lets out a chuckle and slowly lowers his gaze to his hands, momentarily looking at the scars on his skin. "Yes, Rody was the one who helped us that time."
"I didn't know that the angel-faced boy had been accused of murder." Shinsou says, and their eyes meet for a moment.
"It was fake! When I rescued Rody from the police, everything became a big problem because of a briefcase and..." Izuku lets out a sigh. "Everything went well thanks to him, I owe him a lot."
...
The group of kids walked through the busy streets of Tokyo, stopping at every fairground ride and food stand that the kids (supported by Kaminari and Kirishima) wanted to try every single food. The hero pay slipped through their fingers like sand, though the price was worth it as the excited kids ate and enjoyed every single thing.
Eri along with Lala and Roro carried stuffed animals, the two siblings had a set of two puppies that Izuku got for them while Eri held a large stuffed cat that Shinsou won for her. (Though they probably both enjoy the stuffed animal at bedtime.)
The sun was turning ever more orange and setting on the horizon, the blue and orange colors merging in the sky above their heads. The summer heat was made lighter by the appearance of a cool breeze.
They had all arrived at a busy park, the heroes played with the children and the prizes that Kirishima and Kaminari got at the fairs. A small ball and a beautiful paper kite in the shape of a butterfly.
Roro played with Kirishima and Kaminari with the ball, Rody heard his brother's laughter every time the boys allowed the boy to win or raised him in the air for each score he made.
Izuku along with the two girls was playing with the paper kites, Eri and Lala ran back and forth while Izuku took care that the paper did not fly away. The boy's smile was shared by the two girls, small childish laughter could be heard.
Rody had his siblings two stuffed animals on his lap, on one side he also took care of the yellow backpack that Izuku asked him to take and his own belongings. Sitting on the grass of the park while he could not take his eyes off the children and a certain boy with green curls.
The orange sun of that afternoon contrasted with Izuku's white skin and green curls, his smile seemed brighter. As did his eyes every time they managed to look at each other. Izuku's pink cheeks were imperceptible to Rody.
"Izuku is really magnetic with children." Jirou says, the girl had her friends' belongings too, Kaminari and Kirishima's backpacks were beside her. The girl was sitting next to Rody, Kyoka turns her head so she can see the foreign boy's face.
"He is." Rody nods softly and his eyes travel from Kyoka to Izuku again, their eyes meeting at that very moment. The hero had Lala in his arms as they both greeted Rody with big smiles. The pilot reciprocates the greeting and stretches out his arm to greet. "Roro and Lala appreciate him so much, he's really sweet with them."
"We never met a friend of Midoriya's who would travel so much to see him." Shinsou says, hanging from his shoulder is the cute backpack with colorful stars, the giant stuffed cat is at his side as he pets it. "Even though he talked a lot about being excited for a trip, I didn't know it was you."
Rody tilts his head to look at Shinsou, a nervous smile comes out of his lips and he brings his hand to his neck, scratching it nervously. "Well... I wasn't planning on coming for the summer, but Deku insisted and I can't say no to him. He saved me."
"Did you do all this because he saved you?" Kyoka asks curiously, Rody shakes his hands quickly and now his head goes from side to side looking at Izuku's two friends.
"I-I didn't mean that!" Rody lets out a sigh and his gaze returns to the front, his eyes go from the image of his brother to his little sister who runs with the kite in her hands, being chased by Izuku and Eri between laughs. "Meeting him in Otheon that morning changed my life, and Roro and Lala's too, I'm very grateful to him."
"You fell victim to the 'savior-deku' effect" Kyoka says and lets out a giggle, Rody can hear Shinsou also laughing and nodding softly.
"Savior-Deku?" Rody asks and both boys nod, their expressions of curiosity growing.
"Everyone who met Midoriya was saved." Shinsou begins to explain, not looking directly at Rody, his sight was on his little sister, he smiled softly. "Eri and I were also victims of Midoriya's cuteness."
"Me too!" Jirou says, with a soft proud voice, she also looks away to the front and sees Kaminari running with a funny pained expression on his face, she stops herself from laughing at it. "Well, really everyone who meets Midoriya changed for the better."
Shinsou gets up from the ground and shakes his clothes lightly, his gaze goes to Rody with such a serious expression that it makes the brown-haired boy settle in his spot. "Do you like Midoriya?"
The question takes Rody by surprise, his cheeks explode in red and his hands shake as he makes small movements denying any thought. Pino appeared above his head as he flapped his wings and small sounds that sounded like laughter could be heard. "N-no... I..."
"Even though we all have that look that you have." Shinsou begins to speak and this makes Rody's eyes widen in surprise. "It's the first time I've seen his eyes look the same way at someone." And the purple-haired boy begins to walk towards Izuku and his little sister.
Rody is perplexed and in total silence, appreciating how Shinsou approaches Izuki who has Eri in his arms, the purple-haired boy's hands touch both of their cheeks, Eri and Izuku smile at the soft caress.
"If really is like that." Jirou breaks the silence and imitates Shinsou's action, getting up from the grass and leaving Rody sitting there. Kyoka takes both of her friends' belongings and turns around so she can see Rody on the ground. "The celebration of hanabi takai, tonight, is ideal for a love confession." Jirou says, winking in amusement at the boy's shy reaction.
Rody remains silent and watches the heroes gather a few meters away from him, although he can hear laughter, he is not sure he can hear a conversation.
He sees his siblings hug and say goodbye to the heroes, their hands are held by Izuku's who has his back turned.
Izuku and the children turn around to walk towards Rody. The image is engraved in the pilot's mind. The sun contrasts with the figure of Izuku and his siblings, the hero walks and talks animatedly with the children, the breeze hits his curls and a bright smile cannot disappear from his face.
"Rody..." Izuku says his name softly, their eyes connect for an instant that seems like an eternity, Rody can see every feature of Izuku being bathed in the gold of the sun. Rody is sure he can see an angel, and feels unworthy of such an image, but he keeps it in his memory.
"Big brother!" Roro and Lala throw themselves into their older brother's arms and Rody reaches out to grab both children, hugging them tightly. Izuku crouched down in front of Rody.
Rody's eyes open softly and the first thing they can see are Izuku's firm and soft thighs, they were practically in his face, the shorts he wears leave them exposed, the usual red sneakers peek out at the horizon of smooth, freckled skin.
"Rody?" Izuku asks again, the brown-haired boy's eyes close tightly to hide -although it was no longer a point- that he was looking at the hero's legs. His eyes open and are now on Izuku's face, an amused smile.
"It's getting late." Rody says, his siblings complain with pouts on their lips but he does his best to avoid falling for his whims, he looks for help in Izuku's eyes.
"Right!" Izuku immediately understands the message. "It's better to go to the hotel and be able to get dressed for tonight!" Izuku stands up and holds out his hands for the children to put their tantrums behind them.
Lala still with her lips swollen is the first to stand up, Izuku picks her up in his arms, placing her small body against his hip and holding her with one arm. Rody is always surprised by the strength that Izuku has and doesn't show it.
Roro is the second to stand up and takes his stuffed dog in his arms, Izuku smiles and Roro gives in, giving him a soft smile back as well.
"Come on Rody, if we take too long we won't be able to see tonight's show." Izuku offers his hand to the brown haired boy, their eyes connecting the moment their hands meet. Green pupils vibrate with excitement while grey pupils expand in delight.
Once Rody was standing, with his own backpack hanging on his back, in his hand was Izuku's yellow backpack and Lala's stuffed dog.
This time the heights changed, Izuku had to lift his face to be able to stay connected to Rody's eyes, the pilot was noticeably taller than the hero, in silence both were lost in their gazes.
Their faces closer than morally allowed, Izuku could see Rody's tanned skin shining thanks to the sun, how his hair falls on his forehead, his pupils are vibrating, his breathing was so soft that he could feel it on the tip of his nose.
"Deku-kun, you said it would be late to see the show." Roro breaks eye contact when he pulls on the yellow shirt with a large All Might logo.
The two older boys let out a held breath and their cheeks explode in red, both their faces were too hot. Rody turns his head to the opposite side of Izuku, bringing one of his hands to his mouth to try to calm his mind, coughing heavily.
Izuku, for his part, lets out a shaky sigh and looks down at where Roro was standing, his cheeks glowing from the sun. "Y-yes! You're right, Roro. Let's go."
Lala closes her small arms around Izuku's blushing neck as he begins to walk, the children clinging to the tick-like heroes. While a distraught Rody walks behind, carrying everyone's things.
"What's the show going to be today, Deku-san?" Lala asks, her legs swinging with each step Izuku takes. Although the blush doesn't leave her cheeks, her tone of voice is back to the same.
"Fireworks!" She says excitedly and the girl lets out a sigh of surprise, her eyes widening with excitement and a huge smile plastered on her face.
"Then we have to get to see the fireworks, Deku-san! I've never seen fireworks! Are they cute?" Lala speaks excitedly, Roro on the other side also has an excited expression, still holding a small part of Izuku's shirt in his hand.
"The most beautiful fireworks in the world! They're really beautiful, Lala!" Izuku returns to his usual soft and childish tone of voice.
...
Without realizing it, they were already near the hotel where Rody and his siblings would spend the night. The conversations between the hero and the two children did not stop, the people walking on either side always turned to see where the loud laughter came from.
Rody was silent during the journey, although it was not too much, it was enough to be able to consider everything that had happened during the day.
"Tonight is ideal for a love confession." Was what Deku's friend told him.
How should he react to that!?
The heat rose up his face again and he tried to calm down.
He shouldn't think badly, maybe the girl was just helping him realize that Deku might mean more than a friend to him.
No! Impossible!
Deku was a hero, yes, his hero.
He saved him and now they are friends, long distance friends.
Friends who can't stop talking at night and after hard hero training.
Friends who need to hear each other's voices during snowy winter nights.
Friends who whisper how much they miss each other before falling asleep.
Friends who can't be without talking for a second, they know each other's lives through photos and videos.
Friends who look at each other with bright eyes.
Friends who shared so many things.
Deku was his friend, yes, he couldn't be anything else.
He didn't feel anything for Izuku.
Pino appeared and bit the tip of his ear. Rody let out a loud moan, enough to make Izuku and his siblings turn around, they had a worried expression until they noticed the little bird fluttering around Rody in annoyance.
Izuku stopped walking and turned around to face Rody, one of his hands placed against his cheek so he could subtly check if Pino had done something, as Rody covered his right ear with an expression of pain and shock.
"You scared me." Izuku says with soft eyes and a barely visible smile. Rody gets lost in those emerald eyes.
"You scream like a girl, Rody-niichan. Lala must scream more manly than you." Roro mocks his brother as he points at him with his finger, the comment made a laugh come out of Izuku's lips and Lala who was still in his arms. Rody had his brow furrowed and was scolding his brother.
The hero and the kids went back to their path and Rody stayed behind again, now with Pino on his head and one of his hands covering his ear.
Deku was so gentle with him.
More than a friend should be.
Rody likes that. Deku is gentle with him and his family.
Deku is his family since that morning in Otheon where they met at the train station.
Deku is his closest friend. A hero and friend to whom he trusts his own life and that of his siblings without hesitation.
Deku is also family. Roro and Lala accepted him as family.
Deku means...
"We're here!" Izuku's voice distracts him from his thoughts again, everyone was in front of a large and imposing hotel, so many floors that Rody couldn't see the end.
"It's better that we go inside so that Rody can rest, right?" The hero lowers the girl he had in his arms and they begin to walk towards the entrance of that hotel.
"Come on Rody!" Izuku turns his face to call the boy who was still stuck on the stairs. Izuku's body gets lost behind the doors along with his siblings.
Rody lets out a heavy sigh and hits his cheeks, Pino on his head mocks him. Without giving importance to the little bird's mockery, he begins to walk up the stairs.
It didn't take them too long to have the keys to the room, now Rody had Izuku's help to carry the things. Roro and Lala ran a few meters away from them, their eyes moving around every corner. Climbing almost endless stairs.
The hero arrived at the indicated floor with the two children hanging from his back and the giant stuffed animals in his arms. Behind a carefree Izuku crawled Rody, even though he had few things to carry, the hellish amount of stairs he climbed was too much for his poor soul. He was so alone that Pino took advantage of Izuku and climbed up while he was in his green curls!
Izuku looked away to the floor as he let out a small giggle at the sight of Rody lying there. The sound of the keys and the door opening made the children carefully get off the hero and enter the room with excitement.
"You heroes are so pretentious." Rody says, accepting Izuku's help to get up from the floor, his legs shaking like jelly, and hearing a low giggle from Izuku.
"It's our job." Izuku answers as they both enter the room, before closing the door, the only one who takes off his shoes is Izuku. Rody, for his part, goes to the large bed that was there, throwing his body with dead weight.
His head moves to see his siblings stuck to the large window looking at Tokyo from a great height.
Izuku sits on the edge of the bed, his legs subtly brushing Rody's knees and this action causes the pilot to sit on the bed immediately.
Their gazes meet momentarily. Lala and Roro take both of Rody's hands to make him get up from the bed.
"Look at this! Come! Look! Look! Deku-san, come see too!" The two children speak with excitement, Rody gets up with a heavy sigh and Izuku imitates his action, getting up from the bed with a giggle hidden behind the back of his hand.
The two boys look out the window, leaning their cheeks against the glass. Their eyes sparkle with stars coming out of them. Roro looks up and hugs Izuku by his hips, resting his face on the boy's flat stomach. The sudden action makes Izuku startled but he immediately reciprocates the hug, resting one of his hands on Roro's dark hair.
"Thank you for bringing us to such a cool place, Deku-san." Izuku hearing the boy's distressed words also forms a pout on his lips and his eyes glaze over at it. He squeezes Roro tighter against his body.
"You're welcome, Roro." Izuku playfully ruffles the boy's hair and quickly wipes away a tear that threatens to escape from his eyes.
Rody stands beside Izuku, his lips pressed into a line as he watches the sweet moment between his brother and the hero. Pino is leaning on his shoulder and wiping away small tears that escape from his eyes. The bird takes flight to crash against Izuku's soft cheek, the bird's action drawing a laugh from the hero.
"We should get ready to leave again. We'll be able to watch more games and eat more delicious things." Izuku says, touching Lala's head, both children nod excitedly and run to get the backpack their brother was carrying, their clothes were in there.
Izuku turns his face so he can meet Rody's sad eyes looking at him. Both boys share a shy smile and Izuku begins to walk towards his own yellow backpack that was on the ground, near his red shoes.
"I have something for all of us." Izuku is kneeling on the ground, his hands searching for something inside the backpack. The boys come closer to surround and spy on the things the hero keeps. Rody walks a little until he reaches behind Izuku.
"Deku, there was no need..." Rody says, as the hero takes out a couple of bags with clothes inside. Izuku looks at him with a pout on his lips. He brings the clothes up to his chest to protect them.
"Tonight is the hanabi takai and it is a party where traditional clothing is usually worn" Izuku begins to explain, his eyes shining with shyness at Rody's subtle scolding look. "I thought it would be nice if you could enjoy this night like all of us."
"You could have told me and I could have..." Rody explains and walks up to Izuku to rest his hands on the hero's arms, Pino showing how nervous and embarrassed he was as he hid inside his clothes. Izuku continued to stare at the little bird.
"You made a great effort to come here." Izuku turns his gaze to Rody, those eyes so determined and firm, a bright look hidden behind so much determination. "Allow me to spoil them this time."
Rody didn't fight those bright, self-assured puppy eyes. Letting out a defeated sigh, he let go of the hero's arms to take a step back. He knew Izuku was waiting for an answer and managed to nod. A smile instantly graced Izuku's face.
The hero got back on his knees and the children approached him. He took a clear bag and handed it to the two children.
"Men wear yukata." Izuku explained as he looked at Roro and waited for the boy to take his bag. "I hope I got the sizes right for you."
Roro took the bag and looked at it with excitement, matching Izuku's previous action, he held the bag against his chest.
It was Lala's turn and Izuku took a bag containing orange clothing, offering it to the girl. Lala lets out a small squeal of excitement and rushes to hug the hero in front of her, when she pulls away, she's also holding the bag in her hands.
"And kimonos are for women." Izuku looks at Lala with a smile. "I chose this orange one because your pretty dress is orange too."
"It's the cutest kinomo ever!" Lala says excitedly and the misinterpretation of the words steals a laugh from Izuku.
"You can start getting dressed, anything you can't do, I'm going to help you." The kids nod elatedly and with their bags in hand, they head in a few steps to the room's bathroom.
"And this is for you." Izuku is now standing and facing Rody, holding out a bag in front of him and putting on his best puppy dog look to get the pilot to drop the stubbornness and accept him.
"You really are a sweetheart, aren't you?" Rody asks ironically with a serious expression, although Pino betrays her true feelings and looks embarrassed, hiding her blushing face behind her wings.
Izuku lets out a small giggle and takes the courage to stand on tiptoe, shortening the distance between his face and Rody's, his eyes were connected to the pilot's gray eyes. "Yes, I am." He says in a soft whisper, Rody has his gaze glued to Izuku and can feel his breath hitting his lips.
Pino is practically passed out on his head.
Rody steps back with careless and rough steps, he can hear Izuku laugh and turn around in his place. Sitting on the edge of the bed gently and with his own bag resting on his legs.
"I-I'll go see R-roro and L-l-lala..." Rody says with a trembling voice, his face was painted a deep red and only incoherent words could come out of his mouth. With legs shaking like jelly, he quickly enters the bathroom where his siblings were getting dressed.
Roro and Lala look curiously at their brother having a meltdown as his back slowly slides down the door to sit on the floor.
"Deku-san is really cool, isn't he, big brother?" Lala says, as she tries to move the heavy fabrics she's wearing. Rody looks up, Pino on his head still passed out. His ears betray the heat he feels all over his body.
"He's amazing..." Rody says in a final sigh, letting his head fall forward and hiding his face in his arms. It takes him a few seconds to compose himself, Pino came back to life as well and was now fluttering dizzily above his head.
Rody stood up and left his bag on the sink. He approached his sister so he could help her arrange her clothes better, frowning and biting his lips in concentration to be able to arrange the clothes properly.
Roro took his sister's hand and began to walk towards the door. The yukata was easier to put on, so he was already dressed and waited patiently for his little sister.
"Let's go with Deku-san! He said he would help us with our clothes." Roro said and walked out of the bathroom followed by his little sister.
Before the children closed the door, Rody could hear Izuku's soft and sweet voice talking to his siblings.
The brown haired boy was exhausted, his hands holding the edges of the sink tightly, he could see himself reflected in the large mirror. His face was a mess, still tinted pink, and his ears had not lost their red color.
Pino was now on the small shelf that accompanies the mirror. Looking at Rody with a worried look. A small peep came out of his lips.
"I must get ready quickly. Roro and Lala won't want to wait any longer." Rody told Pino and heard a soft noise from the animal.
He turned on the cold water and gathered a little in his palms, bringing the water to his face, desperately looking for a way to remove that silly blush he had.
He stood for several minutes under the cold water. Lifting his wet face he reached out his hand to grab the towel that was nearby.
His eyes drifted to the bag that was still there, holding the wood-colored yukata that Izuku had chosen for him.
He bit his lips and the first thing he did was remove the headband that holds his hair, leaving his ponytail more messy now. A more relaxed and casual look.
He took off his clothes and left them neatly to one side. With care and extreme delicacy he took the wood-colored robe between his fingers and quickly got dressed. He sighed in relief at the idea of avoiding fighting with so many fabrics as he did before with his sister.
He looked at the mirror again, letting out another sigh and his hands quickly arranged his hair. He lowered his gaze and let out a small giggle when he noticed that the clothes were his size, he thought for a moment that Izuku took the time to buy a suit for him.
Pino flew up to be on his shok the wood-colored robe between his fingers and quickly got dressed. He sighed in relief at the idea of avoiding fighting with so many fabrics as he did before with his sister.
He looked at the mirror again, letting out another sigh and his hands quickly arranged his hair. He lowered his gaze and let out a small giggle when he noticed that the clothes were his size, he thought for a moment that Izuku took the time to buy a suit for him
Pino flew up to be on his shoulder, and when he walked to the bathroom door, his hand shook before reaching the doorknob. He took a long breath and gently opened it.
The television in the room was on, and he could see his siblings sitting on the big bed, too entertained in front of the screen.
Roro and Lala turned their eyes to their brother, the little girl got out of bed to be able to hug her brother's leg tightly.
"Rody is so cute! So cute!" Lala says with excitement in her voice. Rody bends down so he can hug the girl as well. He takes one of her hands and gently spins her around.
"Lala is so cute too, your kimono is really beautiful." Rody compliments the girl, touching the small decoration that was in her combed hair. Izuku had taken the time to braid her hair.
"Deku-san made this! Rody, Deku-san is so cool!" Lala turns around so she can show her brother the bow Izuku made with the orange fabric decorated with white flowers.
"Deku is really cool." Rody says, a smile on his lips. As he looks up he meets the green eyes of the hero.
Izuku is standing in front of him, with his stupid, bright green eyes, with his devilishly beautiful smile and with his cute, stupid blush decorating his cute cheeks.
Rody begins to notice that there is a certain dynamic when he is on his knees in front of Izuku contemplating every beautiful detail the hero had.
The hero's yukata is dark green, decorated with a dark wood colored bow. The opening of the robe causes his skin to be exposed, part of his collarbones and chest are exposed, showing the milky skin painted with freckles.
Rody internally thanks whatever deity has offered him such a miracle when the hero moves forward and Rody can see more of his chest under the clothes.
"It's time to go. Roro and Lala are eager to see the fireworks." Izuku says, even though the seconds where he was crouched were few, for Rody they were more than enough to save in his memory how smooth Izuku's skin looks. Being able to notice how it was somewhat pink in the center.
And saving in his memory the sweet aroma that Izuku naturally gives off.
Pino was doing somersaults in the air, the barely concealed bird fluttering excitedly around Izuku and snuggling into the hero's chest, right in the area where his skin is exposed.
"P-Pino! G-get out of there!" Rody says with fear in his voice, excited but receiving a mocking look from the bird. And a sweet laugh from Izuku, his hands going straight to cradle the bird resting on his chest.
"Rody? Anything to say?" Izuku looks up, causing his eyes to widen from Rody's perspective.
The pilot shakes his head and looks in another direction.
"I regret telling you my quirk." Rody murmurs with his ears red once again, a small pout on his lips and glancing sideways at the bird that still enjoys the warmth of Izuku's chest.
The hero lets out a small giggle and moves towards the children who were in bed, completely oblivious to the situation they were in.
"Come on! Roro! Lala!" Izuku says and takes both children in his arms, carrying them with ease.
Rody, for his part, is leaning against a wall, catching his breath while Izuku and his two lively siblings walk towards the door.
Izuku throws something that Rody barely manages to reach. Before disappearing through the door, the hero turns his face so he can talk to the pilot.
"Come on, Rody." A wink along with a smile is dedicated to Rody and the brown-haired boy feels like his heart is going to jump out of his mouth. Pino is flying around him excitedly.
Rody begins to walk towards the door, closing it with the key that Izuku had thrown. Behind him were his siblings chatting animatedly with the hero.
"This time we're going to take the elevator." Rody looks reluctantly at Izuku and the green-curled boy can only smile innocently. The four of them head for the exit.
...
Night fell over the big city. The streets were busy and the noise of a big party was coming.
Rody and Izuku walk close to each other.
Rody has Lala on his shoulders, the girl is excited seeing every corner from the new height, touching with her fingertips the paper lanterns that decorate the streets.
Izuku has Roro hanging on his back, the boy has his cheek resting on the hero's shoulder and looks at everything with a shine in his eyes, indirectly he also enjoys the warmth that Izuku gives him.
The four began to walk through the different fairs and food places that the children pointed to with their fingers.
It hadn't been too long that now they are again loaded with a thousand things. The heat had dropped and a cool breeze kept the place pleasant. The crowd of people was hot.
Izuku has a swan-shaped paper lantern in his hands. And on his head he decorates a tiara of flowers that Lala and Rody chose for him. Roro wears a paper mask on his sword, in the shape of an orange fox.
Rody holds in his hands the trays full of food that his little siblings chosen. Regional foods of all kinds that Izuku personally recommended to the children, Lala has her cheeks full of mochis while letting out soft noises of satisfaction for the food. Her hair was decorated by another flower crown, chosen by Roro and Izuku to be combined.
The streets were full of people, also dressed in traditional clothes. Tokyo was too crowded and for safety Izuku asked Rody with puppy eyes not to let go of his hand.
Rody wouldn't have had any objection if he hadn't noticed that no one was holding hands, other than some casual couples passing by. His cheeks were pink and Pino was on his shoulder, letting out little happy chirps at the warmth that Izuku's hand gives off.
Rody's face was hidden thanks to the fox mask that he had on together with his little brother. Compared to Roro's full mask, Rody only had half of his face hidden, leaving his chin and mouth area exposed.
The children speak animatedly with Izuku as the green-haired hero who gives them a little tour guide of everything they see.
Rody was lost in his thoughts and not that present in the conversation, his eyes focused particularly on the flower crown that blends in with Izuku's green curls.
He can still feel the embarrassment and shyness running through his body after the little conversation they had with the sweet old lady who sold them the flower crowns.
《 "– That one looks so pretty.– Lala says from her brother's shoulders. Izuku left them alone at a flower stand while he went with Roro to another small store that the boy saw.
His small fingers point to a flower crown with pink carnations and white gardenias.
– It is! It would match Deku's hair very well, right, Lala? – Rody says and gently takes the crown that was on the sample table, his fingers gently touching each petal.
Would fit perfect to your boyfriend.– The old woman says with a smile on her lips. Stretching one of her arms to take a book that was near the rest of the flowers, opening a specific page – Those flowers mean secret love and admiration. I looked at your boyfriend before he leaving, I can tell that the little miss has a good eye.
The old woman says and winks playfully at Lala who can only let out an excited giggle. giggle from his sister.
He begins to quickly deny at the sweet old lady with his hands and the red color on his cheeks.
- N-no.... he isn't my...- Rody begins to explain but his hair is pulled hard by his younger sister's hands and he lets out a moan.
- Deku-san will be happy to have flowers, Rody! Buy the flowers. - Lala says almost with a threatening tone, Pino was also on his head and with her small wings she makes sudden movements to deny.
Rody can only sigh and his action is imitated by Pino. Putting his hand inside his pocket so he can search for money. Giving the sufficient amount to the sweet lady who smiled and waved to her sister gently as they began to walk away.
–Lala, Deku is not my boyfriend. – Rody says, his hands are gently squeezing Lala's calves, Pino nods at his words and looks at the girl in a scolding manner.
Lala on the other hand, can only touch the petals of the flowers she holds in her hands and makes a small noise of indignation. – He should, you look very silly when you look at him so in love.
Rody almost has his jaw on the floor and stops dead at his sister's response, his breath held in his chest. – L-lala...!
Saved from the scolding that his older brother would give him, the hero along with Roro on his back appears. Both had gone to get a manly fox mask for the youngest boy. Izuku raises one of his hands to get the brothers' attention.
Both walk until they are in front of each other, Izuku smiles softly at Rody and the pilot can only shyly look away remembering his sister's words.
– What's wrong Rody...? – Izuku frowns at the boy's sudden shyness and before he could finish speaking. There are many flowers right in front of him. A small sigh of surprise leaves his lips and looking up he can see Lala stretching the flower crown right in front of her face.
–Oh! For me? – Izuku asks and with his free hand he points to himself. Receiving an excited nod from Lala. He and Rody share quick glances.
–Rody bought it for you.– Lala says, placing the crown on Izuku's green curls as the boy lowers his head slightly so he can be crowned. –The grandmother who sold us said they mean love!
–L-Lala! – Another scolding between his teeth from Rody. Izuku raises his head this time with the flowers decorating his hair and matching as well as Rody had imagined.
– Did you buy it for me? – Izuku almost asks in a whisper, if they hadn't been so close, the noise of the city wouldn't have allowed Rody to be able to answer with a soft "yes" to the hero . –Thank you, Rody. You're the best.–
Rody feels fulfilled when he gets a bright smile from Izuku as a reward. Looking damn cute with the flowers on his head, his cheeks softly dusted with pink. 》
Rody isn't sure how long he was thinking in silence. Izuku is now pulling on his arm to go in a different direction, leaving the crowded main street, entering a parallel alley.
The darkness consumes the warm lights that were on the main street. Lala holds on tighter to his body as the darkness is more intense.
"Deku?" Rody asks, not making much effort to stop, blindly following the green-haired boy.
The hero turns his head to smile quickly, stopping between the junction of two tall buildings, the noise of the city fading away and a loud whisper is heard. Rody can see Izuku's face dimly illuminated by the yellow light of the paper lantern he holds in his hands.
"The fireworks should start soon, let's go up." Izuku says, and Rody's gaze only triggers more questions than before.
"Go up? Where...?" Rody can't finish speaking, because Izuku grabbed his waist tightly and now his chest hits the hero's. Without being able to notice it, Lala is no longer on his shoulders and is now on the hero's back, along with Roro.
The closeness makes Rody's heart start to beat hard, he is afraid that Izuku can feel it against him. His brow furrows even more and his ears turn a furious red.
Izuku can let out a childish giggle and raising one of his arms a black bow comes out from his knuckles. Rody lets out a scream when they begin to get up from the ground. A scream that is imitated by his brothers, instead of showing fear, both children scream with excitement. Pino was with the same expression of fear as Rody and hidden in his clothes.
Rody hugs the hero's body tightly and holds on to him tightly when in a quick movement Izuku manages to take them to the roof of one of the buildings.
The grey eyed boy isn't sure how long it took to get to the top of the building nor does he know how long he was hugging Izuku with his legs shaking in fear.
"Rody, we're here." Izuku whispers, the hero had moved his hands from the boy's waist to place his hands on his back. He admitted with shame that he enjoyed the warmth Rody was giving him, his face was buried against the boy's shoulder.
Rody walked away scared and embarrassed, as if Izuku was burning him. He pushed the hero gently and with a frown began to scold him.
"Y-you're crazy! I almost had a heart attack! Roro and Lala where are they?! Oh my god sometimes I forget you can do that! You're a lunatic!" Rody says, his feet moving close to look for his siblings, still scolding the hero. Izuku followed from behind and could only let out soft giggles.
They both found the children sitting near where they landed, holding small plates of food in their hands and turning to greet their worried brother. Rody leans his body against one of the vents and lets out a sigh of surrender, closing his eyes momentarily. Pino was acting overly dizzy on his shoulder.
Izuku was in front of him, a short distance between them. Rody crossed his arms over his chest and raised his gaze so he could look the hero in the eyes, seeing him smile innocently.
"We were able to go up like normal people." Rody scolds again and clicks his tongue in mock indignation, pressing his lips together to hold back a smile. "You heroes are so pretentious."
Izuku puts one of his hands behind his neck and lets out a giggle. "There's no better view than the highest ones, I thought it would be fun if they could also travel with black whip."
"The only time we did it we ended up drowning and with a society of madmen chasing us." Rody rolls his eyes and lets out a nasal laugh remembering the last summer they shared.
"I saved our lives, a little water wasn't so bad." Izuku said with a smile on his lips and also leaned on the same place where Rody was, his head was looking up.
Rody was focused on the boy's profile, looking in detail at how his curls contour his face, the flowers mixed with the green curls and ruffled by the wind, his bright eyes reflecting the stars of the firmament above their heads, his chubby cheeks sprinkled with more stars, his pink lips that have a soft smile.
Shaking his head softly, the pilot shifts his gaze to the sky as well. He enjoys the comfortable silence between them. Their bodies came closer without either of them noticing and the instant their shoulders brushed, they both turned their heads so they could lock eyes.
Seconds that seemed like an eternity. Izuku can notice every little detail on Rody, his slightly tanned skin, his bright grey eyes, his brown hair moving in the breeze, the fox mask decorating the left side of his head, his cheeks softly painted pink, his half-open, pale lips. Izuku knows he could change that.
The hero's eyes go back up to the boy's grey orbs when he notices Rody licking his lips. Their eyes reconnect and their breaths catch in his chest.
"Thank you for coming here." Izuku whispers, his body moving a little closer to Rody so he can speak, now their arms touch and their hands can brush, their fingers barely touching. "You traveled so much for me, thank you."
"Thank you for having me." Rody imitates his action and also whispers, his free hand going up to Izuku's cheek, gently accusing his face. "No, you deserve it and... I missed you, I wanted to see you in the summer. That's when we met."
Izuku bites his lips softly upon hearing that last bit. Lowering his gaze momentarily upon hearing Rody's confession of missing him as much as he did.
"I missed you too, Rody." One of Izuku's hands places itself on top of Rody's hand, imitating the action he had with him before. He began to leave soft caresses on the back of his hand.
They got closer, even closer, enough to feel their breaths collide. Izuku was on tiptoe, his hands now on the shoulders of the boy in front of him. Rody didn't take his hands off the hero's cheek.
Their eyes were connected, both so close that if they took one more step, they could... they could finally...
"Deku-san! Rody-niichan! The fireworks have already started!" The voice of the children, a shrill and excited voice.
Izuku becomes self-aware and squeezes the pilot's shoulders tightly. Pursing his lips and hearing the first explosion, his face lights up for an instant.
Rody also comes back to himself, separating his hand from the warmth of Izuku's skin. Lowering his face to take a long breath and gently slide his fingers down his face until they go down his chin. Seeing the small pout that Izuku forms and how his face lights up.
They both share a small look and Rody is the first to start walking towards his brothers. Izuku follows behind him, with the small detail that their hands are together, holding hands they both approach the two children who are excitedly looking at the sky.
The fireworks begin to light up the roof where they are, the noise of the explosions makes the children tremble and laugh, their eyes sparkling thanks to the light. Lala and Roro are jumping and screaming at every firework that explodes in front of them.
Izuku and Rody can only laugh along with the children, watching them so sweetly that they indirectly miss the great show.
Their hands never separate at any time.
A particularly louder explosion makes Izuku's body shiver slightly and makes him squeeze Rody's hand tighter.
Rody turns his head to look at Izuku. He feels his heart pounding and both are now looking at each other once again, smiling big, their faces being illuminated by the fire in the sky. Green and orange fire explodes.
It explodes and lights up Izuku's eyes.
It explodes and lights up Rody's eyes.
A shiver runs through both of their bodies. And now their lips are joined.
A kiss, a kiss in the light of the fireworks. With the noise of the city, the excited laughter of Roro and Lala who are not paying attention to anything but the sky.
A kiss that makes Izuku let out a small sigh when Rody moves his lips slowly.
A kiss that makes Rody hide a smile in the middle of the kiss when he feels Izuku squeeze his hand tightly.
A kiss that lasts an eternity.
But it only lasts an instant. Their faces barely separate, their lips continue to gently touch. They slowly open their eyes and share a giggle so intimate that the world is silent for a moment.
"Oh! Kids!" Izuku breaks eye contact when he feels his body being squeezed with small arms, looking down he can see Lala holding his leg with a smile. Roro is pulling on Rody's clothes also with a huge smile.
Rody and Izuku lift the children into their arms, not separating too much. Their bodies can't be separated now.
"Fireworks are so cool, Deku-san! As cool as you!" Lala says excitedly and hugs the hero by the neck, Izuku brings one of his hands up to his hair to gently ruffle it.
Rody brings his free hand and drags it by the hero's hips so he can bring their body closer, both of them now closer. Izuku looks away from Lala's face to catch a glimpse of the pilot, seeing Rody wink and smile.
"Thank you for tonight, Deku." Rody whispers softly against Izuku's ear, and the hero reacts with a blush and an inevitable smile on his lips.
...
Morning came before Izuku and Rody could notice.
And once again they are at the beginning of everything. This time, Lala and Roro are throwing tantrums to avoid being separated from Izuku. The hero is mentally acting just like children.
The morning sun is less hot than the first time, the helicopter is ready to begin its flight.
Rody is trying to convince his siblings with soft caresses on their backs and promises that they would see Izuku again soon. That now there are more reasons to return or to welcome the hero home.
Roro is the first to give in, without first hugging the green-curled boy tightly. The middle brother acts mature in front of his little sister, separating himself and standing next to his brother, wiping the rebellious tears that fell down his cheeks with the sleeve of his shirt.
"Come on Lala, I promise you'll be able to see Deku soon." Rody says softly, one of his arms wrapping around the girl's small body and lifting her off the ground. He can hear the soft whimpers on his shoulder. Izuku has a pout on his lips and gets up from the ground so he can rest one of his hands on the girl's back, bringing her face closer so he can see her better.
His free hand smooths back the girl's messy brown hair and wipes away the girl's tears. Izuku wipes away his own tears as well, but doesn't wipe the smile off his face. "Your brother is right, you'll see me again soon. Or maybe I can come visit you! Would you like that Lala?"
The girl wipes her tears away with the back of her hand and nods still hiccuping. Izuku smiles even wider and stretches his pinky out in front of the girl. "Fine, promise me you'll stop crying and I promise I'll come see you soon."
The girl hesitates for a few seconds and joins her pinky finger with the hero, sealing a promise that also makes her older brother let out a sigh of relief when he stops crying.
Rody approaches Roro so he can leave Lala in his care, they have a little conversation before Izuku and the other pair of heroes can see how the children head to the helicopter holding hands. Before getting on, Roro turns around to greet the other two heroes present with a hand gesture.
Katsuki and Shoto return the greeting to the boy before watching him get on and get lost inside the helicopter.
Rody lets out a heavy sigh and gets up from the ground, starting to walk towards the heroes who were next to Izuku.
He starts with Shoto, giving him a handshake, repeating the action with Katsuki at his side.
He ends with Izuku. The symbol of peace breaks down in tears when Rody is in front of him and both of them merge into a strong hug, the hero's face sinks into the pilot's neck and he avoids shedding tears to avoid ruining his clothes.
Rody for his part also squeezes Izuku tightly, burying his nose in his green curls so as not to forget the softness and fruity aroma they give off. Pino for his part has tears in his eyes and also snuggles up to Izuku.
"A week went by too fast." Rody whispers against Izuku's ear, his hug hasn't broken yet, his hands are giving soft caresses on his hips to prevent the boy from continuing to cry.
"Don't go, you know you can be here." Izuku says in a muffled whisper, his face doesn't come off Rody's chest. His ears are red because he knows that his two friends are watching the embarrassing scene. But now he can't care less.
"I have to go back, I can come for you whenever you want and make you keep your promise." Rody says, his heart heavy as he has to separate himself from the shorter body. Pino is shedding his first tears as they both see Izuku wipe his tears away and notice his red eyes.
"I'll be waiting for you, I always miss you, always come back." Izuku says, his hands going up to the pilot's cheeks and standing on his tiptoes, he manages to reach his lips to leave a slow and soft kiss.
The action surprises Rody greatly and his cheeks quickly turn red, despite the fact that they spent a week sharing kisses, Izuku still managed to make him shy about it.
His hands squeezed Izuku's body tightly and brought him closer again to leave this time a longer and stronger kiss, a small snap when they separate.
"Just call me when you miss me, and I'll be here." Rody says, his eyes are connected to Izuku's, he steals one last kiss with his hands on Izuku's cheeks. Their bodies separate. "It'll be the three of us, we're all going to miss you."
It's the last thing Rody says before he starts walking towards the helicopter, he can see his siblings faces behind the windows. Before he gets completely up, he turns around so he can say hello to Izuku one last time.
They both say goodbye with a smile. Rody enters the helicopter with regret and Pino is waving her feathers in farewell.
The wind from the propellers doesn't take long to come and the heroes must cover their faces to avoid so much wind.
The helicopter subtly rises and begins its journey. The noise remains for a few seconds.
The roof of the Endeavor building is in absolute silence, the noise of the city was distant. The three heroes remain in their places, Izuku watches the helicopter until it is out of sight.
"I didn't know you got there, zuku." Shoto breaks the silence between the three and they all laugh, the tension dispersing like fog.
"How come you already kissed him and you didn't tell us anything, you little brat?" Katsuki now says, wrapping one of his arms around Izuku's neck and ruffling his hair playfully.
"I'll buy you a drink to catch up." Izuku says while laughing and trying to escape from Katsuki's arms.
Shoto and Katsuki accept the offer without hesitation. The three heroes go down the stairs laughing.
...
Roro, Lala and Rody are finally home.
Home sweet home.
The yawning children head towards bed, the time change affected them and now they can only sleep.
Rody gives them both a small kiss on the forehead. He can notice the dried tears on their faces. A smile appears on his lips when both children walk hand in hand to the room.
For his part, Rody stays awake a little longer, arranging all the clothes they had brought back. And putting away in a special drawer the outfits that Izuku had bought them.
Arranging his yukata, a small note falls out when he stretches the garment.
A small green note. He can't doubt who the sender is.
《 I'm going to miss you. You and your kisses.
Take care of yourself and come back to Japan,
I'll be waiting for you.
– Deku. xox 》
And Rody can't help but smile and look for his phone to answer the note his boyfriend had left. Pino was fluttering excitedly and blushing around him.
