    “Just go in the alley if you gotta go so bad,” Wolfwood mumbles around his cigarette. The flame is hot against his face when he lights it. “Not like anyone’s around to get mad about it.”

    There’s no immediate response as Vash fidgets in his seat, crossing his legs, uncrossing them, then crossing them again. He hunches over to rest his chin on his fist, his entire demeanor wound up tight like a bowstring.

    “No,” is all he says.

    Wolfwood cocks an eyebrow. Just no? He doesn’t pay that much attention to when or where or how Vash uses the bathroom, but considering he’s alright when they’re camping, an alley shouldn’t make much of a difference.
