Summary
"Well, well." A low, familiar voice sent a jolt through Pete’s spine. "To what do I owe the pleasure of seeing one of the main family’s watchdogs at my club?"
Pete froze. Khun Vegas.
Vegas' eyes were sharp, and they were locked right on Pete. That signature smirk tugged at his lips, but this one was more venomous than seductive.
"You’re far from home, puppy," Vegas drawled, his voice a mixture of silk and poison. "This is minor family territory. You must’ve known that."
"I—didn’t know," he finally managed to say, though his voice came out a little weaker than he intended.
Vegas’ smirk deepened. "Didn’t know, or didn’t care?" He leaned in slightly, just enough for Pete to catch a hint of the expensive cologne that clung to his skin, intoxicating in its own right. "Because if you’re here to cause trouble, puppy, I can promise you… this is the wrong place to do it."
