A soft cry crackled from the baby monitor, waking both men from their slumber. Eli sighed, sitting up and looking down at the monitor. Their daughter Josie was wide awake, and wailing loudly. Jon groaned, rolling over and throwing his arm over Eli's waist. "She up?" He asked quietly, Eli just nodded. "Only three months old and already has iron lungs" he chuckled, a yawn slipping out at the end. Eli goes to climb out of bed to check on her. Jon stopped him, laying him back down. He pressed a kiss to Eli's forehead, "I got her, you relax" he whispered. Eli smiled, leaning against the headboard.
Jon climbed out of bed, his joints popping and walking down the hall and to the nursery. He opened the door gently, making his way over to the crib. Josie, let out a small whine and looking up at her father. Jon smiled, picking her up from the crib, "What's got my girl so upset, huh?" He whispered, rocking her gently and kissing her head. Josie snuggled up to him, her whines and cries, now quieted down. Jon chuckled, carrying her down the hall. "You little stinker, just wanting attention" Jon kissed her face all over, causing Josie to giggle.
He opened the bedroom door, looking at Eli with a tired smile, "little miss here just wanted snuggles" Jon chuckled, passing her to his husband. Eli cradled Josie to his chest, rubbing her back "Is that right, firefly? You wanted snuggles from your daddies?" Josie cooed happily, closing her eyes. Jon climbed back into bed, wrapping his arms around Eli and Josie. Eli smiled, leaning against Jon, both of them feeling nothing but bliss
