Summary
In all honesty, Alex probably should’ve noticed sooner, but in the few weeks since moving into Henry’s brownstone, he’s been too busy with his legal fellowship to even fully unpack. As a result, when an early bout of cool weather hits Brooklyn in mid-September, Alex’s fall and winter clothes are still stored in boxes that are stacked up on his side of the walk-in closet. So what’s a warm-blooded Texan gonna do when autumn arrives without warning? Steal one of his boyfriend’s admittedly higher-quality sweaters, that’s what.
He’s rifling through the assortment of cashmere and wool in shades of blue, gray, black, and oatmeal, and when he pulls a pile of sweaters down from where they’ve been neatly folded and stacked, something on the wall catches Alex’s eye. In the wood paneling behind the shelves, there’s a depressed area that's usually hidden by the sweaters, and in the center of the depression is a single brass button.
(Or, Alex finds Henry's toy collection, and he and Henry go traipsing through Kinktober 2024 in a series of interconnected sexcapades.)
