    There was a secret laboratory with the intention of creating subjects to rival Soldiers. Sephiroth, Angeal and Genesis are dispatched to infiltrate, capture the scientist responsible, and rescue the subjects. But nothing turned out according to plan.

    Cloud, known on file as "Fenrir the Wild", is among the successful subjects. Although considered a loner of the group, he is still respected being equal in strength to Nero. And soon as his path crossed the Soldiers, Cloud was quick to set his sights on Sephiroth. At first to test his strength. But after his capture, Cloud finds himself relying upon Sephiroth to stay out of another laboratory. And along the shaky path of trust, feelings begin to stir.

    This is a rewrite of a previous unfinished story from fanfiction net by the title "Taming the Heart Eater".
