   Summary

I stepped into the office, closing the door behind me as I continued to study the bear. Then, with a tone of regret more fitting to the gentleman I knew, the bear spoke.

“I ought to have told you before.”

I blinked again, forcing myself to close my mouth and think a moment before I replied.

“Yes, I really think you ought to have told me that you were a bear, Wolfe. You should be glad that I’ve seen a few things even more bizarre, or you would have had to pick me up off the floor.”
