The brewpub had been decorated from top to bottom in all sorts of spooky decorations. Just like it was for every holiday that Parker got it in her mind to decorate for. And it was better than the Christmas ones in Eliot's opinion. These didn't bring back memories of the past, and happier times the same way. He liked some of them even.
Especially the ones that spooked Hardison.
Mainly because it was his fault that Eliot was having to host a Halloween party at the brewpub. He would much rather be at home by himself or with his partners. But somehow they had talked him into the party.
Even more surprising was the fact they had talked him into making homemade candies for it. Which had somehow turned into Hardison making yet another terrible beer that Eliot then had to pair with something. More candy and savory options and all sorts of themed treats at Hardison's insistence. Which had been an adventure.
But it had been fun to get to teach Parker some of the tricks to candy making. Especially the chocolates. The utter joy on her face when she had pulled out her first successful one made the whole thing almost worth it. The excitement when someone complimented a flavor combo she had come up with for one was even more worth it.
Though the thing that made it the most worthwhile was getting to see how much fun both Hardison and Parker were having at the party. It was mostly made up of regular customers they had along with a few other acquaintances that they had made in the area. The joy that they were getting from just being able to spend time and share the things they had made with Eliot was well worth the hassle.
