is this about me being a mentally ill, neurodivergent, non-binary lil shit who grew up feeling 'wrong' and less-than-human most of the time, or is this about my OC sylène becoming a flesh-eating demon warrior? is it both? read the poem and take ur best guess, i don't know either
(i actually wrote a poem, can u fucking believe it? i sure as hell can't, this is the first piece of poetry i've written in like 7 years of something, so pls bear with me)
prompt: when i opened my eyes
when i opened my eyes,
my lids lifting
like thick fog,
i knew then and there
what i would become.
when i opened my eyes,
my mind drifting
toward doom,
i forgot to kill
that terrible thought—
when i opened my eyes,
my fate shifting
into place,
i bid farewell
to my humanity.
