In all honesty you were not picky about dates. Dating a wrestler could mean having a normal date at the cinema to having a last minute plane to another city to watch them get hit for 20 minutes. Since the beginning of your relationship, Rhea has practically taken you almost anywhere for a date. Classic romantic dates? check. Feeding ducks? check. Trampoline park? check. Volunteering at a dog shelter? check. You loved the way she makes sure to surprise you and to make special moments together. In secret, you loved the quiet ones, where you could walk with her hand in hand and for a few minutes just date Demi, the Aussie girl who has your whole heart. Rhea is her more wild side and you loved it too, but when you can just be with your girl and share an ice cream or read a book together at the park, those were your favorite dates.
You remember the first date with Rhea, she had short blond hair back then and she showed up to your house in a dark suit. You had a hard time focusing on anything else but her that night. Now, you have been together for a few years now, and surprising your girlfriend was becoming more and more challenging. In your defense, she is struggling just as much.
Today though, she might have struggled a bit too hard. Is not that you won't enjoy a day with her anyways, but teasing her will be fun.
"A market date?"
"Yes?"
"Really?"
"Cmon on babe, think about it! We need to go shopping for fruits and veggies anyways and this way we can still have our date" Originally, Rhea had planned a romantic date for the next day, but duty calls and she has to leave earlier than expected to record some interviews. You actually were excited for the date, since you were going to have a nice dinner on a private rooftop, overlooking the city and then, well, you had plans for when you came back home.
Instead, you were standing next to your girlfriend, in comfy clothes for a hot day and some tote bags in your hands, looking at what seems to be the biggest market ever. Rhea looked beautiful as always, no make up and a ponytail making her look more innocent and relaxed.
"Do you have the list I gave you?" She turned to you as she grabbed your free hand and softly pulled you into the crowd "I think I forgot to add bananas" She says as you pull out the list from your pocket.
"Here, Let me check" You read the list, reading it while avoiding bumping into other shoppers "I don't see bananas but you did write something that starts with B" You know between the two of you, Rhea's handwriting was better but you love to tease her when she writes in a hurry and it ends up looking like a baby's drawing.
"Let me see" She didn't take the paper from you, instead she pulled your hand closer to her face. "HaHa, very funny. That clearly says banana and you know it" You giggle at her response as you come closer to the first stall "Babe can you buy some things here while I buy tomatoes in the stall over there? they have the best tomatoes in the world"
"What? You are going to be leaving me alone?" You give her your best puppy eyes while squeezing her hand harder. She looked at you confused, you always divide to shop faster so she didn't understand what you mean.
"Baby What? What do you mean leave you alone? You won't be alone, I will be right there. You will see me all the time, I promise"
"But..but...okay I'll stay here, all alone" you were struggling not to laugh at her concerned expression, but you managed to act hurt and sad, turning away from her and pulling your hand free.
"Darling please, What's going on?" She was really worried now, time to deliver your final blow.
"I just can't believe you would leave me alone on our date" You said while smiling at her, the look of realization in her face making you laugh.
"I can't believe you! You had me worried and everything! You are so mean" Even though she was acting mad at you, she was smiling.
"Go now Romeo, I will be here when you come back" you kissed her cheek and went to buy some items, leaving her dumbfounded and smiling. God she loved you.

"My lady! A rose for a rose" A red rose appeared in front of you, you looked around to find your girlfriend grinning while handing you the flower "No thorn for my special girl" She continued as you grabbed the flower very softly and smelled it.
"Thank you my fair lady, How shall I repay you?" You played along, making Rhea giggle at your answer
"I only ask one thing of you, a kiss to seal our love" Now she was very close, enough to whisper her words to you.
"How can I deny such a request?" You gave her a short kiss, mindful of everyone around you. But Rhea smiled like you gave her the best gift ever.

"Baby look! I got some cherry tomatoes on sale. This date it's a success!" Rhea ran to you while holding so many things in her hands and arms, Why did she bring a bag? just to have it as an accessory apparently "The lady said they were delicious so I had to buy them"
"You did good, I love cherry tomatoes. Here, let me help you put everything in the bag" After a bit you were both done with the shopping and were just walking around looking at the different things that were on sale.
"Do you want some juice? There is a stall ahead that lets you pick 3 fruits, it's so cool" Your girlfriend reminded you of a kid in that moment, but the way she was smiling at you, a bit of blush in her cheeks from the heat and blue eyes shining like the sky, you really couldn't say no "Yes please!"
Now, walking to the car hand in hand with full bags hanging from your shoulders, the rose tucked behind your ear, and a cup of freshly made juice in your free hand, you start to realize that even with the weird invitation to the market, this was still one of the most fun days you have had in a while. All because of your girlfriend, and how attentive she is. You had the sudden urge to tell her how much you appreciate her, so you did.
"Baby I had more fun than I thought I would today, and I think it's because of you. So thank you, for making today feel special"
"I know it's not the date that you were expecting. We both have been busy lately and I really wanted to show you how much I love you, but doing everyday things with you justs proves to me you are the one for me" She was swinging your hands while looking at you, showing how nervous she was that maybe you were actually really sad about the change of plans. You couldn't allow her to doubt herself.
"I love you so much, In the market or in a fancy restaurant. You know that right?" The worry left her eyes as she got closer to you, with a mischievous smile on her lips.
"Maybe I need a reminder?" You looked around, now that you were farther away from all the stalls and shops there were only a handful of people walking around. Looking back at your girl you gave her a peck on the lips and then one on the tip of her nose.
"Behave and maybe at home I can show you how much I love you"
