It was hot.
So hot.
Burning.
Oh, god.
How long had Nene been here for?
She just wanted somewhere cold. Somewhere where she wouldn't feel like she was dying of heat, where she wouldn't feel like she was melting like a popsicle in the scorching rays of the sun.
The diva sat by the sea, frowning. He was forced to abandon her shirts a while ago. She was in short shorts and a bra.
At least there was nobody else on this island but her.
Nene sighed. Not even the water would cool her down anymore. It was all useless, useless, useless. She hated it. Not even the tides were her friend anymore.
How did Nene even end up here in the first place? God, she wished she knew. She just woke up here one day. She had her phone, but there was no signal. She tried to enter SEKAI, but..
Untitled was gone. Like, she couldn't find it anywhere. The World Hasn't Even Started Yet had seemingly disappeared off her phone overnight. It only made the actress even more paranoid about her situation.
She had done everything she needed to in order to attempt to attract a plane or anything, really. She wrote a big, fat S.O.S sign on the sand with a large stick she found, she climbed to the highest point she could find and started a fire, making sure the smoke rose thick and high for any planes to see.
At the start, Nene had marked her days here at her shelter- it was a small tent, just big enough for her to sleep in for the night. Outside, beside the tent, was where Nene would jot down lines- one per day.
Eventually, she forgot, and her ritual quickly fell apart after. She wiped the marks away with her foot- there was no more counting. Only survival, and her few desperate attempts to call for help.
None of them worked. She hadn't seen a single plane or helicopter or anything fly by while she was here. Nene didn't want to admit that she was losing hope. Because she wasn't. She wasn't, right..?
..
Lie. Nene lost hope a long time ago. She didn't know how long she'd been here, but now, she just wanted to survive. She tried building a raft, but they all fell apart. The SOS and fire were still there- but the fire probably died out long ago. Nene wouldn't know, she hasn't checked it in a while. She could care less anyway.
Sometimes, Nene would spend her days drawing in the sand. Run around the beach with her stick dragging against the small rocks, doodling nonsense onto the ground. She would always follow the lines she created after, as if she was dancing. The waves would then swallow the sand, and she would watch as her creation was dragged back to the sea.
Nene shook her head, turning back to the forest.
No, now wasn't the time.
She had things to do. Fuck the heat, fuck escaping, she had to survive.
There were animals in the forest she could kill and cook. There were fruits she could eat, too. She was running low on berries, she would need to collect some more.
Thankfully, all the animals in the island seemed quite friendly- friendly as in, would not try and kill her first sight. The monkeys were friendly, she had no need to disturb them, the pigs just squealed and ran around, making them a bit difficult to catch, chickens would just be chickens, and so on.
Nene stood up, pausing. All of a sudden, she felt a wave of nausea overcome her, her head suddenly throbbing in pain. Nene hissed, squeezing her eyes shut as she placed a hand on her forehead.
What the..?
The diva opened her eyes, sucking in a sharp breath. She felt fine just a second ago- why was she starting to feel all woozy?
Somehow, it got hotter than ever as well. Was she sweating? Oh, she probably was- was she sick or-?
..Sick..?
Hold on, she couldn't be sick. She couldn't, there was no way, how on earth did Nene get sick..?!
She stumbled forwards, taking deep breaths to try and calm herself. She would be fine. She could make medicine, maybe, smash up a few plants or whatever. She grew up listening to Rui's rants, Nene knew a bit.
She tried to focus her eyesight, but everything just got more and more blurry. She felt clammy and sweaty and hot, hot, hot, she felt sick and her head hurt and her stomach churned.
Nene groaned. She was dizzy, tired, what was going on? She had to get a hold of herself, at least make it back to her tent before she could rest..
But with every step she took, Nene's legs grew weaker and weaker, as if they were made up of jelly. She felt horrible.
Maybe horrible was an understatement.
Eventually, Nene's legs gave out from beneath her. She wobbled, and then fell to the ground.
She didn't have the strength or energy to get back up.
Her skin was pale and red, peeling with sunburns across her clammy body. Nene stared forwards, her vision swimming in her eyes.
What... what was going on..?
Was- was Nene dying..?
No, no, she couldn't be.
She couldn't be dying. She had done so much, she had gotten so far.. all for what..?
She had to be alive. She had to live. She didn't.. Nene didn't want to die.
What about Wonderlands x Showtime? What about Emu, what about Rui, what about Tsukasa, what about everything and everyone..?
No, this.. this couldn't be it.
It can't be. It can't be, it can't be.
And yet, her vision was slowly fading. The remainder of Nene's strength was slowly seeping out of her body, her body was limp and unmoving. She couldn't try to move it even if she wanted to.
..She did.
She wanted to.
But she was so..
tired...
so, tired..
and..
And so..
