Donald was doing a simple rally in a swing state. Many gathered to listen, even Joe came and watched in the crowd. Everything was quite alright, many cheering for Donald with signs.
BANG!
A GUN SHOT RIPPED THROUGH THE AIR. Straight to Donald.
Donald didn't have time to act and prepared for the worst. But, nothing hit him. As he opened his eyes, there was Joe, looking at him with a soft smile on his face. Blood trickling down his head.
"I'm sorry it ended up like this, Donald." Joe said weakly, the bullet and blood mixing up his less-than-steady speaking.
Donald's eyes widened in horror. "Joe! Why would you do that for me?!"
Joe chuckled, his smile slightly faltering as his time has come. "It's... because I... love... you."
