If this was a fantasy story, Ness would belong to the Heroes’ party that was tasked with defeating the great and fearsome dragon, Shidou. But this wasn’t some fantastical realm of magic and dragons. This was Japan.

Unbeknownst to Ness at that time, Shidou had fallen in love for a second time. This time playing against a talented midfielder such as Ness. To Shidou, there was something magical about Ness that caused explosions to pop off as he passed and maneuvered the ball. Shidou wanted those explosions for himself.
“There’s a spark around you when you play. The spark that can cause a big explosion. Like a magical spell that you cast over me~ like Cinderella.”
