Peng lays in bed with Xiang Liu, their forms comfortably entangled. Peng rests peacefully until they feel something touch their beak. Instinctively, they go to rub their beak and return to their slumber. Then it happens again. Groggily, they lift their head up and open their eyes, noticing one of Xiang Liu's snake heads is staring down at them.
"Hm?"
It slowly moves in closer to Peng, pressing its face against the front of their beak. Then it coils back, the snake continuing to watch them as if waiting for something. The eagle places a hand on their beak, where the snake head had just touched them, and stares back at it in confusion.
"What was-"
Then they instantly realized.
"Was that a kiss?"
The snake coyly bows its head. Peng snickers to themself, entertained by its behavior.
"Come here."
They hold out their hand, the snake slithering into their palm. Peng holds the snake up to their face and leans in to kiss it. Its eyes widen as they yawn.
"If that will be all, I'd like to go back to sl-"
Before Peng can even finish their sentence, Xiang Liu's seven other heads pop out from the back of his head.
"Oh, for the love of... fine!"
The avian kisses all seven of the remaining snakes good night and falls right back on to their pillow after the fact. Through all of this, the snake demon doesn't stir once until the next morning. He sits up in bed and yawns, stretching out his arms. He looks up to see Peng is already awake.
"Morning, love. How did you sleep?"
"Hmph, barely." Peng says, crossing their arms.
Xiang Liu scoots closer over to them and asks, "Huh, how come?"
"Your damned extra heads kept me up all night. They were all over me, and to think I thought I was only dating one of you."
Liu laughs, grabbing Peng by the arm and kissing them on the cheek.
"Sorry, Peng, but you're stuck with us. All of us. Like it or not."
His snake heads slither up Peng's back and onto their shoulders, hugging their neck.
They crack a smile.
"I suppose I can live with that."
