Elle yearns for a much simpler life- one before her brother died, one before her life had fallen apart, one that doesn't involve needing to subject herself to infinite burnout and loan debt just to get thrown into an uncertain future. She's in grad school now, so she has no other choice than to *make* a simpler life for herself.
But what if she could just have a simpler life right there and then? One free from the pressures of society as she knows it? She ponders this idea, lost in remnants from her past as she begins dozing off to sleep. When suddenly, her wishes are granted. But maybe she should have been much more careful what she wished for.
