“Were you actually going to come good on your threats?” Galadriel asks. “Would you really have had my tongue cut out? Would you have gone to the battlefield with my head on a pike?”
It seems to her he suppresses a smile, but he turns his head away quickly, perhaps for fear of being accused of joking over a rather serious subject.
“I don’t think so,” he says.
