Chapter Text
Meryl looked at the black cat in disbelief.... One moment she was chatting with Vash and the next she was back in the agency to when that stray cat was messing with her papers. The papers that detailed the assignment. Insurance claims on Vash the Stampede. That wasn't right... this happened years ago. Was she dreaming? Hallucinating? Either way she was fairly sure that she was going to blame Vash for all of this. She groaned and buried her face in her arms. Mama Mia. Here we go again.
Things are going so far exactly the same as last time. She decided that's for the best. Although she knows Vash can feel that something is off. Oh well. She sighed jamming another spoonful of pie in her mouth. Those damn sad blue eyes of his. Damn that Vash the Stampede.
Oh, somebody give her an award for this act that she's been putting on. It's hard enough trying to remember exactly what she did the first time let alone deciding whether she should do every single thing the same. Surely ordering a coffee wouldn't hurt...?
Or telling Vash?
"Dammit."
