Ringing from Soyeon’s phone is heard, looking at the caller id *Beijing Puppy* immediately she picked up
“Hi Yuqi” Soyeon says as she turns her camera on something she got used to do with the members
“Hey Soyeon..are you busy?”
Soyeon shakes her head and answers “no what’s up”
“Nothing much I’m just tired of homework”
Both of them can hear how tired Yuqi is but no one comments in it for now, after the group took a break with Soojin’s scandal they decided to each do their own thing Miyeon is acting for a couple of shows, Minnie and Shuhua modelling, Soyeon producing music for some groups and Yuqi continuing her studies
“You should take a break then, have you eaten yet”
“Mhm my dad insisted on going to this new restaurant..you and the girls would’ve loved it” suddenly Soyeon felt a sorrowful feeling inside her chest she knew Yuqi had a hard time with separation and it has been especially hard now she’s away in her hometown
“Hey love it’s okay you know we’re going back to a group soon but i understand…making and producing music for anyone other than you guys is weird”
“Hm is that something sweet i hear from the cold hearted Soyeon” Yuqi giggles tiredly surprisingly Yuqi hasn’t had her camera on for a few months now
“Oh shut up I’m always sweet”
“Suree whatever you say leader” she yawned
“You should sleep isn’t it like 1 am?”
“1:36 actually”
“Go to sleep Yuqi we can call tomorrow i don’t have anything after 12”
A grumbling sound then both of them saying their goodbyes
alone..again, thats what Yuqi thinks she looks around the dark room not being able to see much from the desk lamp but she can see the clothes on the floor..books and papers everywhere and a plate with some type of pasta?
“Right i should clean that” mumbling to herself but Yuqi just can’t seem to do anything…well other than the habits she had discovered Yuqi again looks at the desk seeing the lighter and small blade right beside the lamp, she feels so ashamed but she just can’t help it
She looks at her wrists, the scars now almost fully healed swiftly feeling good about herself remembering how Soyeon praised her for stopping Yuqi tries to not think about her upper arm more new cuts and scars as she take the lighter and taking off her pjs pants as she held it right under her thighs..
Soyeon just left the building after 7 hours of working and walking to her favourite small food truck, after ordering her usual she immediately click on *Beijing Puppy* in her contacts. Almost instantly the call got picked up with Yuqi’s sighs and grunts being loud and heard
“Wow you’re in a bad mood”
“Can you believe after all that work I did the professor just ‘forgot’ to tell us it’s mandatory and just for extra credit” Soyeon can hear Yuqi’s whines and she laughs quietly and they continue talking for about two hours both of them now home
Soyeon has been dreading talking about this but she has to
“Qi? You should turn your camera on”
“Nuh uh my apartment isn’t clean” Soyeon doesn’t know if she’s imagining it but she can hear almost a panicking tone in Yuqi’s voice
“It’s okay it just had been a while since i have seen you”
“Aww you miss me, alright then” Yuqi teased then her face appears on Soyeon’s screen but she’s wearing a long sleeve, fuck Soyeon didn’t account for that
“Didn’t you say today was a hot day?”
“It got cold inside” she said almost protective of herself
“Please don’t look at me like that..I don’t like it” Soyeon realises she got caught
“I just need to know if you are doing it again i know how hard it has been”
“Im okay don’t worry, but my mom actually got me these shoes look” Soyeon wasn’t fully convinced but she didn’t push it further
hours goes by and night fell on them Yuqi had some music on specifically “idontwannabeyouanymore” by Billie Eilish suddenly Yuqi repeated while looking at Soyeon
“If i love you was a promise, would you break it, if you’re honest” Soyeon tensed at that trying to figure out if Yuqi was just singing along or meant it but the way Yuqi looked at her she was sure its the second option that’s why right after Yuqi fell asleep she texted someone and immediately went to book a plane ticket she didn’t care how expensive it was she just needed it to be as soon as possible
Text after text emerged from Soyeon’s phone about how she couldn’t suddenly take a break or how long she would be gone for but she shut them up by sending proof of a famous song writer and producer taking her place sending a pic*Bang Chan* name with texts of him happily agreeing
Now she has that off her back she’s packing her bag to be truthful she doesn’t know how long she’s going to be there, she didn’t even think of booking a ticket back and she doesn’t plan on doing that until she’s at the risk of losing her job which will take a while considering she’s the best at the company
After landing Soyeon only texted Yuqi’s dad to come pick her up also so she wont suddenly turn up at their doorstep without announcing anything and that was probably the only rational decision she did for the past few days
“Thank you so much for this and i apologise for the sudden visit” thats what Soyeon would say but just let google translate do its job
The house appears the same since the last time Soyeon visited and almost immediately feeling the warmth and soothing aura this place has to be honest might be Soyeon’s favourite home out of all the girls house
Soyeon followed Yuqi’s dad to the front door waiting for him to unlock it, she steps inside awkwardly not knowing what to do exactly but seeing Yuqi’s mom looking at her with a bright smile her husband must’ve told her about this
“Yuqi?” Soyeon asked the home owners hesitantly but the question left unanswered as they heard a creaking noise from the stairs Yuqi seemingly to be looking at her phone and asking her parents about something
Soyeon felt so many things when she saw Yuqi, nostalgia, excitement, anxiety but she was definitely happy if the bright smile she has wasn’t enough evidence
Yuqi confessedly raised her head from the the screen since none of her parents answered her and there was Soyeon
To say Yuqi was running was understatement, Soyeon didn’t have the time to blink when she founded Yuqi in her arms hugging her tightly
“Well hello to you too” Soyeon whispered giggling slightly
“How…when” mumbled Yuqi as she was still hugging her tightly
“Just now, i missed you too much i had to see you”.
