Kisses between Kid and Killer were often rough affairs, traded after— or during— the heat of battle, all tongues and teeth and blood smearing across their faces from one to the other. Biting, heavy breathing, chests thumping together, nails biting flesh when they embraced.
But sometimes, they were not gentle perhaps, but easy and slow. Long and sensual, wrapping their arms around one another. Holding still, for a moment, forehead to forehead, or cheek to cheek.
There were some who would find difficulty recognizing the relationship between the two bloodthirsty, infamous pirates as love. But that was what it was.
