(A broken window might not seem like a threat, but ignored it would invite disorder.)

She’d repeatedly tried raising her concerns to the queen, who would often have the temerity to laugh and only see a child, a teenager, a young man — where she saw danger.
Leaving her to eliminate all threats to the Kingdom’s safety.
