Even in the Human Realm, her identity would revolve around a number.
"Repeat it back to me now." The woman checking her in at Luz's camp tapped her clipboard impatiently.
"Cabin Seven," Number Five obediently answered.
"For the next few weeks, you'll sleep, eat, do chores, and learn how to be a useful citizen with your cabin. We run a tight ship here" — the woman gave her a stern look — “You do not want to know the consequences for misbehaving.”
The dark-haired human next in line whispered in her ear. “Sounds like a prison.”
Number Five hoped they were wrong.
