“I believe I’ve said enough on the topic of Draco, love.”
Harry huffs indignantly because they have had more than enough conversations about Draco. Every time Theodore and Hermione visit, every time Harry hears his name in conversation and he gets fixated on it. The elusive Draco Malfoy; a reliable friend, a talented curse breaker and a wizard regularly offended by but openly curious about the muggle world.
He used to find it unfair, how brilliant the Draco Malfoy of today seemed. Hermione speaks of him fondly, Theo speaks of him reverently and Harry has found himself endlessly frustrated by his curiosity.
Andromeda believes Draco Malfoy to be his twin flame. His mirrored soul. A part of Harry he can never quite let go of. And despite not seeing him since the trial, despite cutting him open and being at the receiving end of his torment for years, Harry doesn’t think he could drop the subject of Draco Malfoy if he tried.
“You should be quite happy, right about now,” Andromeda smiles, and Harry frowns.
“What for?”
“He’s come back to you– your curiosity must be sated.”
“Not even close,” He whispers.
