The Earth Will Never Reach The Heavens
[Draft of “The Seven’s Abyssal Trials”]———
“Morax,” Barbatos gasped.
“Did you think,” Morax moved, staring at them again, but his face was nearer than before, both of their lips merely a centimeter close. Barbatos was hardly breathing, and honestly, even Morax, “that avoiding my question will free us from our torments? Aren’t we free now without our gnoses shackling us to that forsaken place?”
Before Barbatos could speak, Morax continued, “I see you. I know you. Barbatos,” he inhaled their breath, “tell me.”
———
Or; a century before the Fall of Khaenri’ah, the Original Seven found an Abyssal Cleft near Mondstadt and Liyue that left them having their own “trials” once they reached the farthest depth.
In this draft, Morax, Rex Lapis, the Geo Archon, shares the aftermath—a drastic change between his and the Anemo Archon’s friendship or. . .relationship; until the era of the Traveler.
Note: Subject to change once Snezhnaya and Khaenri’ah chapters are released.
