Work Text:

“Finally!” Leo exclaimed, throwing open the car door. He hopped out, and Piper followed him, screaming too. Jason just groaned and leaned his head against the wheel. Reyna put a hand on his shoulder, reassuring him.

“You did good. Even with Leo and Piper’s many anxiety-inducing requests, you got us here. Good job.” She clapped his shoulder and Jason looked over with a weak smile. The four had rented out a cottage for a week, to get that full autumn vibe. The drive had been over an hour, filled with Leo’s dangerous driving ideas and Piper’s control of the aux stressing Jason out. Reyna had done her best of shunning them while giving directions, but Jason was still a little overwhelmed.

“Thanks, seriously. I really appreciate that.” Reyna smiled and got out of the car.

The trunk popped open and Leo and Piper were pulling out their luggage. Jason locked the car and got out to help Leo with their bags. They all stood outside of the cottage, grinning at the beautiful place. There was a path of stones that were outlined with bushes and roses, all wet with dew. The cottage was built up of brown and grey neutral bricks, and had a dark brown roof. It was two stories high and wrapped in vines. The windows had white terraces tracing the outside.

“Race you, Leonidas!” Piper laughed, rushing down the stone path. Leo glanced at Jason, Can you carry in the bags yourself? Jason nodded, smiling softly. Yeah, of course. Leo placed a quick kiss on his cheek before chasing after Piper.

“Don’t call me that!” Jason laughed and Reyna and him watched their partners run into their home for the next week.

“We call top floor bedroom.” Jason said. All four of them were sitting on the couches in the living room, the luggage sprawled on the ground. He highfived Leo and Piper just rolled her eyes.

“No, I think Reyna and I should get it.” She argued. Reyna nodded.

“Yeah, we'd rather not hear you two banging upstairs.” She argued. Leo had a shocked expression on while Jason frowned and blushed.

“First of all, I'd rather not talk about what Jason and I do at night, and two, we aren't even that loud.” He argued. Jason just kept hiding, his face behind his hands in a flustered mess. Piper dramatically gasped.

“That is a LIE Leo! I've heard you two and I would rather not.” Piper responded.

“Your saying that like Reyna and you don't do things!” Leo groaned.

“Well, we don't do it like how you and Jason do. If you guys took top floor, it'd squeak the bed and we'd hear thumping.” Reyna supplied. Leo frowned.

After lots of arguing, they decided that Piper and Reyna would get upstairs, while Leo and Jason would get downstairs. But Piper and Reyna had to cook the dinner meals.

Tonight though, Leo wanted Jason and him to cook the first dinner meal. He wanted to get used to the kitchen surrounding, and understand the new meal prepping area.

“Leo, how do I use this?” Jason was standing in front of the stove. It was a wood stove, so he seemed confused about why he couldn’t turn it on. Leo glanced over and snickered.

“Like this, Jason.” He walked over and put his hand on Jason’s, showing him how to put in the wood and turn it on. Of course, Jason knew how to put wood in a stove. He just wanted Leo to hold his hands. Jason hid his smile as Leo kept talking and explaining to him. When they were done, he noticed the grin on his boyfriend's face. “Something funny, Wolf Boy?” He asked. Jason just shook his head.

“Nope, of course not.” Leo rolled his eyes while giggling. They soon finished making a meal, Leo’s specialty tofu tacos, and brought it to the table. Piper and Reyna had set it, so they all sat around laughing and talking, reminiscing about their past. It seemed so simple, so far away from now. They were happy.
