“Please,” Kuroo sighs and closes his eyes briefly, his face coming closer and closer to Kenma's, who feels his body going up in flames, “tell me I didn't misunderstand.”
“Kuro,” he lets out. Kuroo groans slightly, his hands on Kenma's face flinching.
“Kenma,” he whispers again, so close that Kenma can feel the warmth of his breath on his cold face, “can I kiss you?”
Or
Kenma and Kuroo meet again after nine years, and they rediscover the intensity of their feelings for each other, feelings that have never actually left them. But Kenma can't get the wedding ring Kuroo wears so proudly around his neck out of his mind.
