“Do you have any regrets?”
The question caught the woman off guard even though she knew this would be the final question of this live interview. She had already rehearsed her answer too while waiting— an answer that’s carefully worded to not show the truth, her truth.
Regrets? Hmm, I think everyone has regrets. But right now, looking back I’m here now because of the choices I made, so in this moment I don’t have any.
That's what she’s supposed to say, but Jimin didn’t expect this. She didn’t expect it to be Her sitting in front of her asking these questions. She’s thankful she was able to hide the shock and surprise, that she was able to do this quick 30 minute interview professionally.
“Karina?” A soft voice pulls her out of her head, calling her by the stage name given. Jimin stares at her interviewer, comparing the features she has now to the one in her memory. It’s still the same, nothing has changed. Minjeong’s always been beautiful.
“I..” Jimin looks away, scared that she might get lost in Minjeojng’s onyx eyes. That she might drown in them again and again like before.
“Ah let me clarify, do you have any regrets in your career?” Minjeojng offers Jimin a soft smile and Jimin feels like crying. Because of course, even with the passing of time, Minjeong would still somehow know her better than anyone else.
“No.” Jimin shakes her head, answering honestly, “I don’t. I’ve done my very best these past 5 years, and I will continue to do so. Please watch over me carefully.” She smiles towards the crowd, bowing slightly.
“I and everyone with us, will always be here to support you. Right, everyone?” Minjeojng turns to the crowd who all yell in approval.
“Always.” Minjeojng says while looking at Jimin, and the brunette is glad she’s sitting because her knees felt so weak.
“No matter what Jiminie, I’ll always support you. Always.”
“That concludes today’s event…” Minjeong began to do the closing remarks but it felt as if everything and everyone began to fade away, that it was only her and Minjeong here. The urge to reach out to Minjeong was strong, so strong that Jimin had already began to reach forward only to be brought back to reality by the thunderous applause echoing throughout the room.
“Thank you everyone for your time, Karina, any final words?” Minjeojng asks and Jimin blinks, quickly letting herself go on autopilot and saying a quick thank you and goodbye to her fans.
“Mi..” Jimin begins after the two head backstage, but the shorter woman was already gone.

“Here.” Aeri, her manager, suddenly hands her a note as they got back into the van.
“What’s this?” Jimin raises a brow.
“It’s from the MC, she told me to hand it to you.”
“I see..thank you.”

Long time no see? Were you just as surprised as I was? Actually, I wasn’t supposed to be here but something came up so I had to cover. So, I’m sorry..I guess? I know you hate it when I apologise for something when I didn’t even do anything wrong, but I just felt the need to apologize. Jimin-ah..I know that you have your regrets, I think we both do..but Jimin, if you asked me the same question my answer would be no. I don’t regret it. I don’t regret letting you let us go. You asked me why I didn’t want to fight right? Well, this was why..look at where you are now Jiminie..you did it. Like you said you would, life isn’t always like the movies right? I’ll treasure our memories forever Jiminie and I want you to know that I’m proud of you and everything you’ve achieved. I’ll always treasure our memories and the love we shared. You were and will always be my shining star. It was really great to see you again. Take care always.
