“What the HELL was that, Chan?” she nearly yelled, her voice echoing off the tiled walls. “They’re all dying in there, and you were about to get them back up for another round!”
He met her gaze, his own anger sparking, but he forced himself to push it down. “We have the comeback soon. Performances. Recordings. It has to be perfect,” he replied, his tone clipped, anger simmering just below the surface. He hated being called out like this, but he couldn’t ignore the way her words were digging into him.
“The hell it does! You’ve never worked them that hard before, Chan. Did you even see Jeongin?! He’s not in a good way at all.” Her voice cracked, and he could see tears welling up in her eyes, the image of Jeongin looking so worn out flickering across his mind

Chan struggles with his conflicting emotions - the pull towards her being immense - but jealousy and pride get in the way, misunderstandings wreak havoc on his mental state and he finds himself spiralling deeper into feelings he’d never let anyone see
