Mushroom Kingdom

Mario Bros.' House

Mario was getting ready to go somewhere. "Luigi, I'm heading out to the picnic!" He called.

"Okay, you two have a good time!" Luigi called back while watching TV.

The older Mario brother heads out afterwards

Princess Peach's Castle

Princess Peach was making food for the picnic for herself and Mario as Toadsworth was watching her make the food. She smiled as she was thinking about what's going to happen today. "I'm so glad I thought of the idea of a picnic. It's been a while since we last were together. This will be the perfect opportunity." She said.

"I agree." Toadsworth nodded. "With how clear the weather is, you and Master Mario can spend the day together.

Peach nodded in agreement as she folded the picnic blanket and put it and the plates in the basket before closing the lid. The princess then picked up the basket before she and Toadsworth headed towards the front door.

At the same time, Mario has arrived at the castle.

Peach and Toadsworth were now at the front door as the former was going to open it until she heard a knock. "Who is it?" She asked.

"It's-a-me!" Mario called. Peach smiled at this before opening the door revealing the plumber. Mario was surprised to see the picnic basket. "Oh, you were already ready before I came." He said. "Good afternoon, Toadsworth."

"Good afternoon to you too, Master Mario." The elder Toad replied.

"Well, we should get going while the sun is out." Peach said before turning to Toadsworth. "Okay, we're going to the park. I'll return around the evening." She turned to Mario. "So, shall we get going?"

"Yeah! Let's-a-go!" Mario said as they both began walking towards the park.

"Have a great time you two!" Toadsworth called. As soon as Mario and Peach left, the elder Toad closed the door.

"So, they're gone already?" A Toad asked approaching Toadsworth.

"That's right. They're going to spend the afternoon on a picnic." The elder Toad said. "Let's hope that a certain Koopa doesn't ruin it." The younger Toad couldn't help but chuckle at this.

Mushroom Kingdom Park

Mario and Peach were setting up the picnic as the latter was putting down the basket. "Now with that done, we can now eat." Peach said. She opened the lid, took out the plates and placed the food on top of them. The food that is shown are two sandwiches, fruits, vegetables, summer sausages, cheese, crackers, two juice bottles and two food containers, one in red and one in pink.

"Wow, that sure is a lot of food." Mario said. He notices the food containers. "What's in those containers?"

"I'm glad you asked. It's…" Peach opened the red container revealing… "Spaghetti!"

Mario looked amused. "You made spaghetti?"

"Well I want to make something that you like." Peach opened the pink container also revealing pasta. "Besides, I made some for myself as well."

Mario uses the fork and eats the spaghetti. "This is good. I'm glad you made it." Peach smiles at this and eats her own spaghetti.

An hour later

Mario and Peach were looking at the view of the park.

"You know, I'm glad that I get to spend this picnic with you." Mario said.

"Same here. It's been a while since the last time we were together." Peach smiled. She then sighed, "I still can't believe it." Mario raised an eyebrow in confusion. "I still can't believe that Bowser tried to force me to marry him."

Mario realized what the princess was talking about. "Yeah, I can't believe it either. Of all the times that Bowser kidnaps you, he does that."

"It makes me wonder why he came up with that. Then again, he does want to take over the Mushroom Kingdom." Peach said.

"Hey, no matter how many times Bowser kidnaps you, I'll always be there to rescue you!" Mario smirked.

"I'm so glad to hear that." Peach smiled before kissing Mario on the cheek. "Now let's eat what's left here. I also got juice for the both of us." Mario nodded as they both started to eat the crackers and summer sausages.

Evening

Mario and Peach were throwing away the food they ate. "Now with that done, shall we go to the castle?" Mario asked.

"Of course. Let's go." Peach said. They both leave the park.

"I can see the castle from here, so I'll walk on my own." Peach said. "Thanks for spending the picnic with me."

"You're welcome. It was nice that we spent this day together. Well I should get going, Luigi's probably making dinner right now. See you around another day." Mario waved as Peach waved back before they walked to their respective homes.

Princess Peach's Castle

Peach was now at her castle and knocked on the door.

"Who is it?" Toadsworth said.

"It's me." She said.

Toadsworth opens the door for the princess. "Welcome back, princess. I had a feeling it was you." Peach responded with a giggle before walking in. "So, how was the picnic?"

"It was good. I was so glad that I got to spend time with Mario." Peach smiled.

"That's good to hear." Toadsworth responded.

Mario Bros.' House

Mario was now at home before knocking on the door.

"Who is it?" Luigi asked.

"It's-a me!" Mario responded.

Luigi opens the door. "Welcome home, bro. How was the picnic?"

"It was nice. We talked about a lot of things such as our past adventures and what we should do for the future."

"The future huh? Maybe we should have another Mario Party or go to a place we've never heard of before." Luigi suggested.

"Those are great suggestions! We should try that!" Mario agreed. He started sniffing something. "What are you making?"

"Lasagna. It'll be tonight's dinner."

"That's funny because Peach made spaghetti for our picnic." Mario said.

"Spaghetti for lunch and lasagna for dinner. Now I wonder why you didn't eat pasta for breakfast." Luigi teased.

"Pasta for breakfast? That would've been something else." Mario laughed.

The next day

The Mario Bros. were at home after finishing work. "Whew. Glad that we were able to fix the sink for them." Mario said.

"Yeah, I can't even imagine what would happen if we weren't there. Good thing they called us though." Luigi agreed. As Mario was going to unlock the door, Luigi saw something that shocked him. "Bro." He tapped Mario on the shoulder.

"What is it?" Mario asked as he just opened the door. Luigi pointed at something. Mario looked to see it and was shocked as well. "Mamma mia!"

What they saw wasn't something, it was someone. It was a man who was unconscious. He had blonde hair and a blue shirt. He also had a sword and a shield.

"Let's check on him, quick!" Mario exclaimed. After they put their kits down, they went to check on the man. Mario puts his ear on the man's chest. He looked relieved when he heard a heartbeat. "Good, he's breathing."

"Thank goodness." Luigi sighed in relief. "But looking at him right now, it looks like he's not from here."

"You're right. He must be from a whole different world. For now, let's take him inside the house." Mario said before he picked up the man while Luigi picked up his sword and shield and then went inside the house.

Chapter Text

‘Where…where am I?’ The blonde-haired man opened his eyes as he was looking at the ceiling. ‘A house, but who’s?’ He looked around the place until he saw two men. The former was wearing red while the latter was wearing green.

The plumbers looked relieved. “You’re awake. That’s-a-good.” Mario said. The man asked how long he had been out.

“You were out for three days.” Luigi said. “And if you’re looking for your belongings, they’re right here.”

The man got up and saw the sword and shield were on the table, much to his relief.

“Oh yeah, we forgot to introduce ourselves. I’m Mario.” Mario said.

“And I’m Luigi.” Luigi said.

“We’re known as the Mario brothers.” Mario said.

The man can understand that, given the fact the plumbers were wearing identical outfits. “My name is Link.” He said.

“Link, huh? Well it’s nice to meet you.” Mario said. Link asked what place he was at. “You’re in the Mushroom Kingdom. The ruler of this kingdom is a princess.” Link was surprised to hear this. “Looking at you right now, you’re not from here. Where are you from?”

“I’m Hyrule.” Link said.

“Ah, I see.” Luigi nodded. Suddenly, A noise was heard.

Mario pulled out his phone. “Sorry, that was my phone.” He said before pressing the call button.

Link looked at the phone in interest. ‘The technology here must be different from Hyrule.’

“Hello?” Mario said.

“Mario, has the guy you two found yesterday awake?” Peach asked.

“Yeah, he’s awake. We’re currently talking to him right now.”

“Oh that’s a relief to hear.” Peach said in relief. “Did he tell you his name?”

“Yeah, his name is Link and he came from a place called Hyrule.”

“I see.”

“The only thing left is how he ended up here.”

“My thoughts exactly.” Peach agreed. “Why don’t we discuss this at the castle? Is that fine?”

“Yeah, we’ll be there after we eat breakfast.” Mario nodded.

“All right, I’ll be waiting.” Peach said before hanging up.

“It was Peach, right?” Luigi asked.

“Yeah, it was.” Mario nodded before turning to Link. “That was the princess. Like me and Luigi, she wants to know about how you ended up here.”

The Hylian understood this as it was best to tell them the story.

“You want some breakfast? Luigi already made them before you woke up.” Mario said.

Link smiled as he didn’t mind this.

“All right. After that, we’ll head towards the castle. We’ll show you the way.”

Once after the Mario brothers and Link ate breakfast, they began to make their way to the castle. While they were going there, the Toads were staring at Link and some were whispering towards each other.

“Who is that guy with Mario and Luigi?”

“Is he a visitor from another kingdom?”

“Who knows? The princess probably doesn’t know about him nor the kingdom he came from.”

Link looks at the Toads and tells the Mario Brothers who they are.

“They’re called Toads. They’re the most common race in the Mushroom Kingdom.” Luigi told him. “It’s not surprising that they’re talking about you. You’re not from this world after all.”

A few minutes later, the men arrived at the castle.

“Okay, we’re here.” Mario said.

Link looked at the castle in amazement. ‘It sure looks different from Hyrule's castle.’

Mario knocks on the door.

“Who is it?”

“It’s-a me, Mario.”

“Luigi’s here too.” Luigi spoke up.

“We also brought the guy who we found near our house yesterday.” Mario added.

The door opened revealing a Toad. “Oh good. The princess was waiting for you two.” He turned to Link. “The princess also wants to meet you, uh…”

“Link.” The Hylian responded.

Toad nodded, “The princess is in her throne room.”

“Got it.” Mario said as he, Luigi, and Link went inside the castle before the Toad closed the door.

Throne room

As soon as the men arrive, they see Peach and Toadsworth with the former sitting on the throne.

“Mario, Luigi, it’s good that you two have arrived.” Peach said. “You must be Link, right?”

The Hylian nodded.

“I see.” The princess nodded. “My name is Princess Peach, the ruler of the Mushroom Kingdom.”

“And my name is Toadsworth, the princess’ steward.” Toadsworth introduced himself.

“So, Link, as I told Mario on the phone, we want to know how you ended up in our world. Start by talking about what you were doing while you were still in your world.” Peach said.

Link nodded before he began to tell them what happened.

Hyrule; Flashback
Link and Zelda were at a place called Tarrey Town.

“To think such a place like this exists.” Zelda said while looking at the town. “Still, Hudson and the rest of the employees did a good job on building the town.” A Hylian retriever walks toward Zelda before the princess crouches down and pet it.

Link smiled at this. He was glad that Zelda was able to see the entire world again after being inside Hyrule Castle for so long.

“So, what do you think of the town, princess?” A voice said. When Link and Zelda turned around they saw a Hylian man and Gerudo woman approaching them. Their names were Hudson and Rhondson.

“It’s wonderful. I always wanted to know what this town is like after hearing about it.” Zelda said.

“I’m glad to hear that.” Hudson smiled. “However, Link also helped out as well. He was able to bring workers on creating Tarrey Town.”

“I owe my gratitude to Link.” Rhondson said. “If this voe hadn’t told me about this town, I still would’ve been looking for the love of my life.”

“Aww, that’s so sweet.” Zelda smiled. “Link, I’m so proud that you were able to make someone have a happy future.” She said to the male Hylian.

‘I’m glad about that as well.’ Link thought.

“Well we should get back to work. Feel free to look around our town, princess.” Hudson said. He and Rhondson left afterwards.

Link and Zelda continued looking around the town such as talking with the inhabitants and looking at the shops. Needless to say, Zelda enjoyed Tarrey Town and was glad that she got to see such a place.

The Hylians were at the cliff southeast of Tarrey Town.

“I’m glad that Hyrule can be at peace again.” Zelda said. “Now that Calamity Ganon has been sealed, we should focus on rebuilding the Kingdom.”

Link nodded. With the damage Ganon had done, who knows how long the Kingdom will be fixed. As soon as the Hylians were ready to go to Hyrule Castle, Link turned around and noticed something.

Zelda was confused at what Link was looking at until she noticed it as well. “Is this…a portal? I’ve heard it before, but this is my first time seeing one. We should let Purah and Robbie know about what we saw right now.” Suddenly, they felt themselves moving by force. “What?!” They realized that the portal was trying to suck them in. “This isn’t good! If we get sucked into that portal, who knows where it’ll take us!” The Hylians were trying not to get sucked in the portal, but the force was so strong that they’re now close to the portal with Zelda being the first one to get sucked in. “Link!” Zelda yelled

“Zelda!” Link yelled.

After the Hylian Champion gets sucked in, the portal closes.

Mushroom Kingdom; Present

“Ah, so that’s how you ended up in our kingdom.” Toadsworth said.

“And you weren’t the only one who got sucked in the portal either.” Mario added.

“I’m worried about your friend.” Peach said. “If that portal had separated you two, who knows where she could be at.”

This makes Link look concerned for Zelda.

“Hey, I got an idea!” Luigi said, catching everyone’s attention. “While we look for this Zelda girl, someone we know can make an invention that can make Link and his friend be able to go back to their own world.”

Mario, Peach, and Toadsworth already know who the green plumber was talking about. “I think most of us know who it is.” Mario said as Peach and Toadsworth agreed with him while Link was curious who it was.

“That’s right. It’s Professor E. Gadd.” Luigi said.

Princess Zelda was lying on a bed, unconscious. Moments later, her eyes opened. ‘Where am I?’ She got up and looked around the room before thinking about what happened. ‘The last thing I remember is that Link and I were going to the lab to talk to Purah and Robbie about the portal before we ended up getting sucked in. But I need to know what this place is first.’ She notices the door was opened.

“Oh thank goodness, you’re awake!” A woman said in relief. She has short deep orange hair and wears a yellow dress with orange accents.

“Um, how long have I been unconscious?” Zelda asked, now sitting on the side of the bed.

“Three days.” The woman said. “I was taking a walk until I found you lying on the ground out cold. So I had to carry you in my castle until you were awake.”

“Your castle?” Zelda asked, earning a nod in return. “Regardless, thank you for taking me in.”

“It was no problem.” The woman smiled. “Oh yeah, I haven’t introduced myself. I’m Daisy, the princess of Sarasaland, the realm you’re currently in.”

“My name is Zelda, I’m a princess just like you.” The Hylian responded.

“Wow, just like me and my friend.” Daisy smiled. “Given that you’re not from the world, you can tell how you ended up here.”

“Sure.” Zelda said. She got out of the bed as both princesses left the room.

Chapter Text

A pink puffball with red shoes was lying on the ground. He opened his eyes before getting up. The puffball looked around to see where he was at until he realized that he was on an island. Curious about it, the puffball went inside the island to see what it's like.

The said island was known as Yoshi's Island, home of the Yoshis.

A familiar green Yoshi woke up and stretched before he looked at the sky. "(The sky's clear just like yesterday. I know this will be a good day.)" Waking up next to him is a white dog with brown spots. "(Morning, Poochy.)" Yoshi said, the dog responded with a bark. "(Hey, I'm gonna go jogging the first thing today, you wanna join me?)" Poochy barked as in saying yes. "(Okay, let's go!)" They both went jogging afterwards.

The puffball was walking on the island. He was amazed at how the place looked. He kept wandering around until he saw a chicken and two chicks called Huffin Puffins. The puffball and the parent stared at each other for a moment before the latter along with the babies continued walking with the former doing the same thing later. After walking for a while, the puffball was starting to get hungry. He noticed a bush with three red fruits and decided to pull out the fruit and inhaled all of them. After that, the puffball lies down next to the bush and takes a nap.

Yoshi and Poochy were jogging on the shore. "(Come on, Poochy! Keep it up!)" Yoshi said.

The dog barked as he was keeping up with Yoshi. They both kept going until they stopped at the place they first began their jog and caught their breath. "(Wow. I can't believe we jogged around the island.)" Yoshi said in amazement. (Still, that was a good morning jog. Let's head back home.)" Poochy barked in agreement before they set off afterwards.

While walking home, Poochy notices something and makes a left, which caught Yoshi's attention. "(Poochy, where are you going?)" The dinosaur followed his friend to see where he was going. Later, he notices that Poochy had stopped. "(Hey, what did you find?)" Yoshi asked. He turns to see what the dog was looking at. What Yoshi saw was the pink puffball who was taking a nap. "(Who is this?)" He questioned. "(Looking at him right now, it seems that he's not from this world.)" The puffball woke up and noticed the ones who were looking at him before getting up. "(Hey there.)" Yoshi said. The puffball looked confused. "(I know you must be lost, given the fact that you landed in our world. My name is Yoshi and this is Poochy.)" Poochy barked in response. (What's your name?)"

"Kirby." The puffball responded.

"(Well, Kirby. If you want to know where you're at, You're at Yoshi's Island, the home of where my species lives.)" Yoshi said. "(Let's go to my house. You can tell us where you're from and how you got here.)" Kirby nodded as the three of them went off to Yoshi's house.

Yoshi's House

"(This is my home. It may not be like the ones that you're familiar with, but this is how it looks like.)" Yoshi said.

Kirby sat down and looked around the place. A bark has caught his attention revealing that Poochy was holding a fruit by its stem with his mouth. Kirby smiles as he takes the fruit before he inhales the entire food.

Yoshi and Poochy were shocked at what they saw. "(Wow, I guess my species isn't the only ones who can consume food like that.)" Yoshi said before he realized something. "(Hey, Kirby. When Poochy and I first saw you, I noticed that the bush didn't have fruit. I assume that it was you who ate them.)" The puffball nodded. "(Ah, okay. I was just asking. But you know, you're not the only one who can consume food like that.)" The dinosaur grabbed the fruit with his tongue and swallowed it whole. Kirby was surprised and amazed that someone can eat food similar to him. "(Alright, back to where we were talking about earlier. Do you mind telling us how you got here?)"

Kirby nodded as he began to explain.

Dream Land, Kirby's House; Flashback

Kirby was near the window, looking at the sky. He thought about what his friends were up to ever since his last adventure. The puffball went outside to take a stroll. While taking a stroll, he stopped and noticed a portal. Kirby carefully approached it and was curious where the portal came from. Suddenly, the portal begins to suck him in. Kirby tried his best not to get in the portal, but it seems that he's getting closer to it. Determined not to get sent into an unfamiliar world, Kirby calls the Warp Star as the device comes out of the sky and appears right next to the puffball before he gets on it. With Kirby on the Warp Star, the chance of getting sucked in the portal was getting a bit better. However, the force was so strong that both Kirby and the Warp Star got sucked in before the portal disappeared.

Present

"(So that's how you ended up here?)" Yoshi said. "(I'm glad that you're safe though. But still, we need to find a way to get you back to your home.)" The dinosaur was thinking until he got an idea. "(I got it! Some friends of mine know a guy that can make inventions. If we can ask him to make such a thing, he might be able to do it. Come on, we're heading to the Mushroom Kingdom.)" Yoshi said as Poochy barked happily.

Kirby was surprised at what he heard, but smiled at the fact that this person might be able to help him get back to his own world.

DK's Tree House, Donkey Kong Island

Donkey Kong was watching TV, while Diddy Kong was laying down listening to music on the radio. The smaller Kong got up and went outside, but not before asking Donkey Kong, "(Hey, DK. You want a banana?)"

"(Just one.)" Donkey Kong replied.

Diddy Kong nodded before going outside and climbed down the treehouse. What was below the treehouse was a banana hoard where the Kongs keep their stash of bananas. Diddy Kong takes two bananas and then climbs back to the treehouse. He gives a banana to Donkey Kong and watches TV with him.

Donkey Kong thought of something. "(You know, I still can't get over the fact that Pauline became mayor.)"

"(I can't believe that you kidnapped her. Then again, Cranky had done it before.)" Diddy Kong said.

"(Yeah. But there's Bowser, who constantly kidnaps Peach very often.)" Donkey Kong then sighed. "(And then there was King K. Rool who decided kidnap me so he could get you and Dixie to exchange the banana hoard.)"

Diddy Kong huffed. "(Glad I didn't do that. Rescuing you was the only thing we had to do.)" The smaller Kong realized something. "(Speaking of K. Rool, what happened to him?)"

"(Who knows. The last time we saw him was when he was part of our team in the Baseball Kingdom. As long as he or his army doesn't steal our banana hoard like before, it's all good. Although, that didn't stop the fact that the Tiki Tak Tribe stole our bananas in order to make more Tikis. Thankfully, we got them back after beating their leader.)"

"(Yeah, no matter who takes our hoard, we always will get them back!)" Diddy Kong exclaimed.

"(Well said, Diddy!)" Donkey Kong smiled.

Somewhere around Donkey Kong Island

In the jungle, a yellow mouse with long pointed ears with black tips, red cheeks, and lightning-shaped tail was lying on the ground on its stomach until he woke up and shook his head before looking around the place. "(Wha…what is this place? Is this a new Pokémon region?)" The mouse spoke. "(Might as well look around.)" The mouse began walking through the jungle. While walking, he noticed two blue parrots, but hid behind the bushes in order not to be seen. "(I never those kind of Pokèmon before.)" The mouse continued walking until he saw a beach. The Pokémon was amazed at the sight. However when the mouse turned around, his eyes widened in shock. What the mouse saw was a huge volcano. "(What kind of region is this?!)"

DK's Treehouse

Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong were still watching TV until they heard a knock. The latter went towards the door and opened it, revealing Dixie Kong.

"(Hey, Diddy, hey DK.)" Dixie Kong waved.

"(Dixie! What brings you here?)" Diddy Kong asked his girlfriend.

"(Just checking to see how you and DK are doing.)"

"(We're just doing fine as usual.)" Donkey Kong responded. "(What about you? How you've been doing?)"

"(Oh, nothing much.)" Dixie Kong replied. "(I'm gonna get a banana if you don't mind.)"

"(Sure, go ahead.)" Diddy Kong said.

His girlfriend went to the hoard to get a banana and then came back to the treehouse. Dixie Kong thought of something. "(You know, ever since those Tiki guys and the Snowmads came to our island, it makes me wonder what happened to the Kremlings.)"

"(Funny that we were actually talking about them a moment ago, mainly K. Rool.)" Donkey Kong said.

"(Really?)" Dixie Kong asked, getting nods from both Kongs. "(Ah, okay. But I still can't believe that K. Rool kidnapped DK so he could make us exchange the banana hoard. That was so ridiculous!)"

"(That's what I said!)" Diddy Kong agreed.

"(Regardless, it wouldn't be a surprise if he came back to get the hoard like he did before. We'll stop him anyways.)" Donkey Kong said with Diddy Kong and Dixie Kong agreeing with him. "(I'm going to check on Cranky to see how he's doing. I'll be back soon.)" The big Kong went outside afterwards.

The mouse was walking thinking about the island. "(I wonder what's the name of this region? I've heard of at least every region from the trainers, but not this one.)" While the mouse kept thinking, he ended up bumping into something, making the Pokémon fall on his back. "(Ah!)"

"(Oh, sorry. I didn't see you there. You okay?)" Someone asked.

"(Yeah, I'm fine. It was my fault for not paying attention.)" The mouse said before looking up to see who he bumped into. It was Donkey Kong.

They both looked at each other.

"(I don't think I've ever seen someone like this guy.)" Donkey Kong thought.

"(Wow, I've never seen a Pokémon like you before.)" The mouse said in awe.

"(Pokémon?)" Donkey Kong repeated.

"(Yeah. That's what you are right?)" The mouse said.

"(Wait a minute.)" Donkey Kong realized something. "(If you think I'm this 'Pokémon', then you must came from a different world.)"

"(A different world?)" The mouse said until he realized what the Kong was talking about. "(Wait, are you saying I'm not in my world?)"

"(Nope. For some reason, you ended up in my world, Donkey Kong Island.)" Donkey Kong said as the mouse now understood this. "(Oh yeah, my name is Donkey Kong, the same name as this island. DK for short. What's yours?)

"(Pikachu, a Pokémon.)" The mouse introduced himself. "(So, what were you going before you accidentally bumped into me?)"

"(I was going to see how my relative is doing. Hey, you wanna come with me?)" Donkey Kong asked.

"(To see your relative?)" Pikachu asked.

"(Yeah. Plus we might need to know how you ended up here.)"

"(Well that does make sense.)" The mouse said.

Donkey Kong offers Pikachu to get on his left shoulder as the mouse Pokémon does that. "(Okay, let's go.)" The two head off afterwards.

Cranky Kong's Shop

"(Is this the place?)" Pikachu asked.

"(Yep, he lives here alright.)" Donkey Kong said. He knocks on the door. "(Cranky, are you awake?)"

"(Cranky?)" Pikachu thought.

"(Yeah, yeah, I'm awake. Let me just get up for a second.)" A voice said. The door was opened revealing an elderly ape with a thick white beard and taupe sweater-vest. His name is Cranky Kong "(Let me guess, you're here to check on me?)"

"(Of course.)" Donkey Kong replied.

"(How nice.)" Cranky Kong shook his head until he noticed Pikachu. "(Hmm, who is this?)"

Donkey Kong and Pikachu stared at each other before looking at Cranky Kong. "(We'll explain everything.)"

Inside the shop

Donkey Kong and Pikachu explained everything as Cranky Kong listened. "(I see, you came from a world called Pokémon and you're one of those creatures, right?)" Pikachu nodded. "(But I have a question to ask, how did you end up on our island?)"

Donkey Kong realized this. "(I want to know this too.)"

The mouse Pokémon looked at both Kongs. "(Alright. It all started when I was at my home.)"

Viridian Forest; Flashback

Pikachu was carrying two berries. He makes a right and sees three other Pikachu and a pile of berries in the middle. The first Pikachu was smaller than the average size Pikachu, The second Pikachu was identical to the current Pikachu with the only major difference is it had a heart-shaped tail, and third Pikachu's fur and cheeks are a different color. "(Okay this should be enough for at least a week.)" Pikachu said while dropping the two berries in the pile.

"(Wow, that sure is a lot of berries alright.)" The smaller Pikachu said in amazement.

"(Yeah. If we hadn't ask the other Pokémon for help, we wouldn't have gotten this much.)" The different-colored Pikachu agreed.

"(We should thank them once we see them again.)" The heart-shaped tail Pikachu added.

"(Exactly.)" Pikachu nodded. "(Anyways, let's eat!)"

"(Yeah!)" The other Pikachu exclaimed before they all started eating.

10 minutes later

The Pikachu have stopped eating.

"(I think I've ate enough already.)" Pikachu said.

"(Same here.)" Female Pikachu added.

"(This berry will be my last one.)" Small Pikachu said.

"(Looks like we're all full for today. We should save the rest for tomorrow.)" Shiny Pikachu said.

"(Yeah. And if the other Pokémon want some, we'll give some of it to them.)" Pikachu said.

"(Although some might eat most of all of it.)" Female Pikachu said awkwardly.

"(Well if that happens, we'll get more berries anyway.)" Pikachu shrugged.

"(Right.)" Female Pikachu nodded. "(I'm going go out and thank the Pokémon for helping us.)"

"(I'm gonna get some fresh air.)" Pikachu said.

"(Me too.)" Small Pikachu said. He turned to Shiny Pikachu, "(What about you?)"

"(I'm gonna take a nap.)" Shiny Pikachu said before lying down.

"(Okay, see you later.)" Pikachu said as the three Pikachu went out.

After taking a separate path from the female Pikachu, Pikachu and his smaller counterpart kept walking straight until they sat near a tree.

"(This forest sure is nice isn't it?)" Pikachu asked.

"(It sure is. But what's important is that I'm glad that I met you guys.)" Small Pikachu said.

"(Same here.)" Pikachu nodded. "(Pikachu are often rare in the Viridian Forest.)"

"(True. Most Pokémon we see here are Caterpie and Weedle. We sometimes see Pidgey as well.)"

"(Yeah, but some trainers would love to get their own Pikachu though.)" Pikachu said. He looked up. (You know, I wonder what the outside world is like.)"

"(What do you mean?)" Small Pikachu asked.

"(When I went outside the forest, I saw how people and Pokémon get along. It makes me wonder what kind of friendship I'll have if I become a trainer's Pokémon.)"

Small Pikachu's ears were down. "(But if that happens…)"

Pikachu put a hand on his smaller counterpart's head. "(Don't worry, even if I have to help my future trainer reach their goal, I'll still remember you guys.)" His smaller counterpart smiled hearing this. "(Let's go home.)"

While the two Pikachu were making their way back home, their ears twitched. They looked around until they noticed something behind the grass

"(Hey, what's that behind the grass?)" Small Pikachu asked.

Pikachu didn't say anything, but he got on all fours. "(Follow me, but make sure to stay quiet.)" His smaller counterpart nodded and got on all fours before they walked. After getting out of the grass, they noticed a strange portal. "(Huh? It looks like some kind of portal.)" Pikachu said.

"(Really?)" Small Pikachu said. The mouse went to get a closer look at it, but Pikachu put an arm out.

"(Hold on. Something's telling me it could be dangerous. Let's warn the others about this.)" Pikachu said. Before either of them could move, they suddenly felt themselves moving by force. "(Whoa!)"

"(It's pulling us in!)" Small Pikachu yelled.

"(Obviously! Let's get moving!)" Pikachu shouted. The two Pokémon began to move in hope to escape from the portal's force. However it seems like they were getting closer to it. Pikachu didn't want to do this, but he had no choice. "(Sorry about this.)" Pikachu told Small Pikachu. Before his counterpart could say anything, he was smacked by Pikachu's tail, sending him away from the portal.

When Small Pikachu got up, he saw Pikachu looking at him with a smile on his face as he was close to the portal. The last thing the mouse Pokémon saw was that his smaller counterpart tried to run as fast as he could in order to save him.

Present

"(So you were able to prevent your friend from getting sucked in with you. That's good.)" Donkey Kong smiled.

"(Yeah. If I hadn't done that, he would've gotten sucked in that portal.)" Pikachu said.

"(Speaking of portals. How did the one that showed up in your world appear?)" Cranky Kong asked.

"(No idea. When my friend and I went to the grass, it was already there.)"

"(Regardless. We should be careful when we see a portal on this island. Who know where they'll take us.)" Donkey Kong said.

"(I hope you don't get into those portals. Otherwise some lunatic would've invade the island.)" Cranky Kong said.

Donkey Kong rolled his eyes "(Cranky, I'm not that dumb to do something like that.)"

"(Says the ape who stole those Mini Mario toys and kidnapped Pauline.)"

"(Didn't you kidnap her before?)" Donkey Kong countered.

Cranky Kong scowled, "(That was a long time ago!)"

Pikachu sweatdropped at the conversation.

Donkey Kong shook his head, "(Anyways, it's good to see that you're doing good. I'm gonna take my new friend here to the treehouse.)"

"(Alright, see you later.)" Cranky Kong replied. "(As for you, I hope you enjoy your stay in this island until you go back to your own world.)" He told Pikachu.

"(I will.)" The mouse Pokémon said before hopping on Donkey Kong's left shoulder.

As soon as the two left, Cranky Kong had a concerned look. "(DK, I know you won't blindly go to a portal. It's just that if you end up in a place that you're not familiar with, some lunatic would've caused a mess on the island, especially when K. Rool shows up to steal the banana hoard like he did several times in the past.)"

"(Listen, whatever you heard from Cranky, that was all in the past.)" Donkey Kong told Pikachu.

"(Um, okay.)" The mouse Pokémon said awkwardly. "(Anyways, you said that you're going to take me to your treehouse, right?)"

"(Yep, that's where I live. Two of my friends are there right now. You'll like them)" Donkey Kong said.

Pikachu looked interested. He looked at the sky. "(I wonder if my friends are okay. I know they're worried about me.)" He thought.

Viridian Forest

The three Pikachu were at the spot where the portal was at.

"(So you're telling us that this portal was at this spot?)" Shiny Pikachu asked.

"(Uh-huh. Neither of us have any idea where it come from.)" Small Pikachu said.

"(Still, I can't believe that he saved you like that.)" Female Pikachu said.

Small Pikachu looked down, saddened. "(Yeah, and now he's probably at a place he's not familiar with.)"

Female Pikachu comforts her small counterpart. "(Don't worry, we're just worried about him as much as you do.)"

"(She's right. Let's just hope he can find a way to get back home.)" Shiny Pikachu added.

Small Pikachu only smiled before thinking about Pikachu. "(Pikachu, I don't know where you are right now, but I do hope you're in a place that's safe.)"
