Atsushi looks at the paper, then at Dazai-Sensei, then at the paper again and swears to himself that he’s never gonna confess his love to someone ever again.
The student inhales sharply and grabs the paper, flipping it over and—
And promptly drops his jaw in utter horror.
Dazai-sensei…Dazai-Sensei graded his love letter.
(or: What started as an act of courage on Atsushi's part ends with him being spoiled to oblivion, painfully confused, and labeled 'Dazai Sensei's Favorite Student' by those who clearly don't know any better.)
