Summary:

Maybe it was his looks. James knew he was conventionally attractive, Regulus thought. It wasn't just people's compliments and gawking, but it was in general. He was tall, his hair was untidy but fell just right, and his grin made people fall to their knees just because of how weakening it was.

At least, that's how Regulus Black always saw James Potter. How was there anything attractive to him except his looks?

 

As they say, there's a thin line between enemies and agonizing eye contact with each other across the Great Hall, waiting for nightfall to arrive.

..Did they say that?

 

Regulus Black is furious when Sirius and his gang of mates prank him. He is especially upset at James Potter, the boy that took Sirius away from him. The boy that ruined his and his brother's life. The boy that stirred nothing but trouble to Regulus.

And what James didn't know was that Regulus knew how to get revenge.

Game on, Potter. Game on.

welcome to my story! :')
     ⤳ i'd like to create a comfortable space for my readers, so please tell me if i should add any TW's, etc that i may have forgotten to add during any chapter xx
     ⤳ please be prepared for 'average' writing (i haven't written in soooooo long but i've long improved compared to under the mistletoe--my other work of ff) (i tried rereading that ff and couldnt even get halfway through) (don't be prepared for grammar mistakes though, i'm somehow better at revising & editing lol)
     ⤳ i'll TRY to stick to a consistent schedule, but i'm not sure when updates will come out (maybe bi-weekly or a little less, depends on how much time i have)
     ⤳ so i haven't been in the marauders fandom since 2022, it seems considerably smaller — at least on wattpad (i don't even see the 'don't call me that' ff anywhere, or this one beautiful hanahakki au fanfic of jegulus that i adore and must be taken down bc the author moved to ao3) (guys i freaking found it, so happy). i don't even know how i got back into this mess tbh but i'm feeling soooooooooo nostalgic for hp rn but ANYWAYS i've done as much research as i could on harry potter marauders era bc i'm telling u rn i don't remember anything.. didn't even remember there were ghosts in the school, but yeah so if i get anything wrong i'm so sorry!

⤳ jily experimented a little earlier (their sixth year, regulus' fifth year) and decided it wasn't going to work out, except they stay as friends -- this makes more sense to me than james suddenly falling hard for regulus and leaving lily behind sad and confused :(
