October 14th, 2024 - St. Louis, Missouri - 11:25pm

Rhea had already showered and was scrolling in her phone when she heard the noise from the door. She sat up, the blanket falling to her lap as she watched Jey enter the hotel room.

He looked at her for a moment before he kicked off his shoes. He sat down his title on the table and pulled his hoodie off, resting it on the chair.

As she watched him get ready for bed, they didn’t say a single word. He changed into his sleeping shorts and pulled off his necklace before he turned to her.

She moved to set her back against the headboard and held her arms out to him. He didn’t hesitate getting into the bed. He moved so he was laying his head on her chest. His arms went around her waist as he wrapped himself around her.

“Sorry I left without you,” Jey finally spoke.

Rhea had left her match after giving Tiffany a Riptide. She changed out of her outfit into comfortable clothes and Damian told her Jey had left. She saw the videos of Jey and Jimmy.

She wanted to go find him then, but she had asked Adam for this match. She couldn’t back out, even if it went to shit when Nia appeared. She couldn’t even blame Liv for this one. She was slightly annoyed about the whole cashing in on her Woman’s World Champion title, but she made sure to give Tiffy a reminder to stay away.

Damian knew she was going to look for Jey, so he caught up to her before she went looking for him.

“He said he’d meet you in your room. He just needed to walk and clear his head,” Damian offered with a frown, “He wanted me to go back to the hotel with you to make up for it.”

She didn’t blame him. She wished he stayed so they could have talked then. She was just glad he was with her now.

“I don’t blame you,” Rhea assured him. Her fingers twirled in his longer locks. Her other hand rested on his neck, just giving him some warmth. He must have been walking outside for a while because his face and neck felt cold.

They were quiet again. Rhea was looking at his face and saw his eyes were closed, but she knew he wasn’t sleeping. She sighed softly, “Talk to me, Jey.”

Jey made a movement that looked like a shrug. He moved so he could look up at her, “I don’t know what to say. Jimmy showed up. It pissed me off. That’s about it.”

Rhea nodded her head as she looked at him. Her fingers stopped moving in his hair. He was frowning up at her, “What do you want say?”

She shrugged this time, “I think you should hear him out.”

Jey shot up and Rhea eyed him in surprise. Her hands dropped to her lap as he got up and started pacing back and forth, “Why should I? He picked our cousin over me. He lied to my face about not wanting me to become like Roman, but he became like him. He turned on me, uce. Bit the other way around and what? He wants me to team with Roman again? Ain’t no way in Hell.”

He turned to her and noticed her amused expression, “Why you smiling like that for?”

“Cause you’re hot when you crash out,” Rhea smiled.

Jey released a breath and shook his head, smiling now. He moved back to the bed and moved to kneel down on it. Rhea turned to face him, leaning against the pillows with an amused expression, “Sorry for crashing out on you.”

“Mm, it’s fine,” Rhea assured with a sweet smile, “It’s fun being the calm one for once. But can I continue what I want to say without you crashing out again?”

Jey grimaced, but nodded his head. She smiled and took his hands, “Hear him out. See what he says and put him in his place. I made Dom work to forgive him. It took him yelling at Liv that he hated here before giving him a chance again. Sure, it bit me in my ass because he’s a twat, but maybe it’s what you need. You need to know the real reason why he turned on you. Closure, uce.”

He was silent for a while before he moved to lay down in his previous position, his cheek against her chest and his arms around her. Her arms went around him and she held him tightly. He sighed, “… I just don’t know what to do.”

Rhea’s fingers moved through his hair, “Whatever you decide, I’m here for you.”

He looked up at her and smiled, “I’m so lucky Dom is an idiot.”

She giggled as she leaned in and pressed a kiss to Jey’s lips, “His loss is your gain.”

He leaned into her kiss and moved quickly, picking her up and pulling her into his arms. She made a noise of surprise, but didn’t fight him, even laughing as she wrapped her arms and legs around him. His hands were on her waist, gripping her tightly as he leaned on and kissed her. She smiled against his lips, her hands moving to hold his face in her hands as she kissed him.

When they pulled apart, they were smiling at each other. He leaned in and rested his forehead against hers, “Thank you.”

She pecked his lips, “You’re welcome.”
