Chapter Text
Celestino wakes up and the first thing he feels is pain. He turns to the side, where his father usually is. “Ma?” His voice sounds so raspy, he doesn’t even realize first that it is his. “Babino, don’t worry, I am here.” Vale shows up at his side and strokes over his curls. “It hurts”, he whimpers. “Here drink this.” Vale holds a glass at his mouth and lowers it so that he can drink the milky liquid. The pain stops shortly after. Satisfied, Celestino closes his eyes and lets sleep catch up with him again.
As he sees the world again, he is unsure if he even is awake. However, he doesn’t care at all about that, because Marc is at his side again. He feels the others essence, his loving aura that always gives him this feeling of being protected and loved. Through the dark night he can see nothing of the spaniard, but he feels the light kiss on his forehead. “-back for dinner. I’m so proud at you, my sweet boy” is what he hears from the whispering. He tucks him back in the blanket again and happily Celestino snuggles in deeper.
The next time he opens his eyes, neither Marc or Vale sit in the chair next to his bed. Instead Luca watches him from there and smiles at him. “Hey” “Hey” “Where are they?”, he asks and immediatly he can see how Lucas face darkens. “What happend?” He tries to sit up, but the blue eyed stoppes him and presses him softly down again. “Nothing bad. They are just gone out for something. I’m sure they are back soon.” Luca tries to play an encouranging smile and failes horribly. Celestino looks at him warily, yet he decides to not say anything. Instead he switches the topic of the conversation “Do you have anything to eat for me? I am dying from hunger.” Luca laughs with him, but again, his forced laughter raises suspision inside of him. “Of course, wait a bit, I get it for you. You can stay in bed, sleeping beauty.”, he jokes before he leaves his room.
Celestino should learn that they wouldn’t return as fast as he had thought. It took three days for Vale to finally show up. Alone. He would ask him where Marc was and the only answer he would get were evasive ones. Something about him taking a little time out.
Depending on the situation, Vale would either dismiss the talk or would distract him from it. And he tried it a lot of times. For the next days, he would always be somehow around the older, trying to keep an eye on him. Internally, the younger had to face after a week that he was around him so much, was because he feared Vale would also disappear again.
By the time he figured out that Vale wouldn’t give him a clear answer about Marc’s whereabouts, he was already running around again. Bez had told him that he had an accident and it didn’t look too bad, because he already was on his legs again two days after. But the thing is, Celestino doesn’t remember all that. All what is left in his memories are small sequenzes and he isn’t able to differ between dream or reality for most of them.
